Chapter One - Captured and Hostage
Steven sighed as he sat down on the beach, thinking about his recent adventure and the way Blue Diamond seemed so depressed and how she was such a mess. He felt heartbroken when he saw her grieve over Pink Diamond, he still feels bad for her even though she took his dad away into space.
He saw Yellow Diamond, too, and seeing that she was also upset about Pink Diamond shocked him considering the first time he saw her she acted cold and heartless towards Peridot and the Earth. He even heard her sing, which was also a surprise since he never knew that Homeworld was aware of music in the first place.
It only was a week since then, and he was still worried about what the diamonds would do. He knows Blue and Yellow Diamond were talking about coming to Earth and taking more humans to put in the zoo. While he was thinking about the adventure, though, he failed to notice the footsteps coming from behind him.
"If one last human will make you happy, then I'll get one last human for you, Blue," Yellow Diamond said quietly to herself as she reached down and quickly grabbed Steven in her hands.
She moved so quickly he could hardly react, and the darkness of her hand surrounded him, and he had no time to escape. He was now in Yellow Diamond's grasp, and there was no way he could escape. Fear took over all his other emotions and he started to panic, trying to call for help even though he knew nobody could hear him.
He was already in the zoo once, and he didn't even want to think of the consequences that he would have to face if they found out he escaped.
"Here's your last human, Blue," Yellow said, opening up her hand to reveal Steven in her palm.
He started to breath heavily and shake, fearing Blue Diamond would recognize him and punish him for escaping. Although she didn't seem to recognize him and treated him like all the other humans she had.
"Get him in the zoo outfit, Pearl," Blue Diamond said, placing Steven next to her. Her pearl obeyed and took off his shirt, only to gasp at what she saw in his navel. Steven gulped and he felt his whole world slowly fall apart as Blue Pearl tried to grab her diamond's attention.
"My diamond, this human, it has a gem," she said in a surprised voice. At first, Blue Diamond was confused, knowing it was impossible for a human to have a gem. "Let me see," she said, picking up Steven and bringing him up to her.
She gasped, too, and it wasn't just at the gem, it was also the gem he had, and the location it was in. Blue Diamond just stared at Steven, showing many emotions as she stared at him with a straight yet angry face. "You," she said under her breath.
"H-hi, I'm Steven," Steven said, feeling his heart pounding in his chest. "I'm half human, half gem. My dad is a human, but um, Rose Quartz is my mom," he said. He knew he shouldn't have said that, but he couldn't keep himself from not doing so.
"I know my mom did some regrettable things in the past, but I want to be better than that!" He tried to look into her eyes, but he was too afraid. Blue Diamond continued staring before she finally had an idea on what to do.
She had her pearl put Steven's shirt back on, and then she brought Steven to a strange place in the back of the ship. It was different than everything else on it, a room that seemed to made completely of metal and was a very dark, almost pitch black color.
"Come on," she said, pushing Steven into the room. It was cold and dark, he could hardly see what was in front of him. Blue Pearl bringing Steven to a wall that only had a single window and something lying on the ground, but couldn't quite make out what it was.
She picked them up, revealing to Steven they were chains, and he felt his heart sink. His mind kept on telling him to run over and over, but he couldn't seem to move, but when he attempted to, it was too late. Blue Pearl had placed one chain tightly on one of his wrists, and was about to place another chain on his other one.
His body tensed up, trying to keep her from doing it, but it didn't work. The other chain was already around his wrist, and now he was trapped. He felt onto his knees, shaking all over as Blue Pearl went out of the room and headed toward her diamond.
He felt his heart sink, he knew that he would never get to go home and that he'd be stuck here forever. The chains were digging in his skin, and it hurt, but there was no way to escape.
He was going to die here, and nobody would know.
(A/N) I was challenged to write the most depressing story I could do, and this story is exactly that. This first chapter is kinda meh, but the story needs to start somewhere. xD
I'm also really excited for Storm in the Room, which is gonna air tonight!
Anyway, if you enjoyed this first chapter, please vote and comment, and I'll see you in the next one! ^_^
