Benito groaned when he woke up. He was not in his hotel room, so he sat up and looked around for a second until he realised that he was still in Marissa's apartment. The sun was shining through the blinds and the window was slightly opened. While he was fully waking up, he started to smell garlic and that was when he realised that Marissa wasn't in bed with him. Yawning, he got out of the bed and made his way towards the hallway. He could hear a sitcom coming from his right, which meant the TV in the living room was turned on, so he looked into said room. No Marissa, just Friends on the screen. Benito continued to walk down the hallway until he reached the last door that lead to the kitchen. There she was, her hair put into a messy bun, wearing a grey hoodie and black sweatpants. Marissa was bent over a cutting board, while she was chopping onions. "Morning." Benito mumbled, leaning himself against the door frame. "You're still here." Marissa gave back, not turning towards him. He hadn't expected her to be all over him but he had at least expected her to be surprised in a good way, instead she was nonchalant - and she hit a nerve with that. "Told you I couldn't run." he responded. Marissa smiled to herself, then she looked at him. "Are you hungry?" she asked, putting the knife down. Benito was starving.

At around 8pm, Benito was ready to leave. Marissa had to work in the morning and he had been satisfied enough. Marissa was sitting on her couch, when he put his shirt back on. He was wearing a small golden necklace with a cross pendant on it. Before he left, he took it off and walked over to her. She was looking at her phone, didn't even notice that he had approached her. Only when he stood right in front of her, she looked up. He held out his hand with the necklace dangling down from his fist. "Keep it, something to remember me." he said. Marissa noticed that he sounded broken. Within those 17 hours he had spent with her, he had realised how much he liked her company and how much he could be himself when he was with her. Marissa started grinning, took the necklace and got up from her couch. "Thank you, that's sweet." she said, looking at the pendant. "Please don't." Benito gave back before he frowned. "Don't what?" Marissa asked confused. "Don't call me sweet... I'm anything but that." he responded. "Ah, yes, I forgot, you're heartless." she joked, then she got on her tip toes and placed a small kiss on Benito's cheek. "I'll see you at breakfast tomorrow." Marissa then said. Benito nodded and left without another word. On the way back to the hotel, he was wondering why she had joked about him being heartless and then it hit him, she didn't believe him and he didn't blame her. He had been sweet towards her, he had treated her well and with respect and he had shown her his soft side while they had been cooking. He was genuinely interested in her but he wasn't gonna let her see that. As we was looking out the window of the cab that was driving him back to the hotel, he kept thinking about how much he hadn't wanted to leave.

7:00am. Benito was dragging his sleep deprived body to the breakfast room of the hotel. He had to give interviews that day and had to be ready by 8. Although he had been exhausted from the day before, he hadn't been able to sleep. All he had been able to think about was that Marissa was going to be at the breakfast. His mood instantly got better in the second he saw her run around the big restaurant like room. He could've gotten room service but he didn't want to miss the chance to see her. "Good morning." another waiter greeted him, making him look away from Marissa. "Morning." he responded grumpily. "Would you like to have the buffet or would you like to order?" the young man asked him friendly. His gaze wondered off to Marissa who was obviously the one serving the people who ordered something off the menu. "Order." he replied shortly. "Very well, please follow me, Sir." the blonde man said. He was wearing a white dress shirt and black dress pants. His hair was short but still slicked back with a hefty amount of gel. Benito rolled his eyes at the overly friendly and joyful way the man treated him. It was early in the morning and he couldn't imagine that anyone could possibly be so happy so early. He followed the man who seated him at a small table in the middle of the room. After Benito had sat down, the man excused himself. Yawning, Benito reached for the small menu neatly placed in the middle of the table. "Good morning, Sir. How did you sleep?" he heard Marissa's voice from next to him. He had been looking at the menu. "I didn't sleep." Benito responded, looking at her. She was also wearing a white dress shirt, neatly tucked into a black high waisted pair of dress pants, her hair was put into a low ponytail and she was wearing He noticed that she was wearing his necklace and it made him smile. "I'm guessing you want a coffee then?" Marissa asked friendly. She looked tired but joyful. Benito simply nodded, then she gave him a smile and walked off. His eyes were plastered to her ass. Her outfit was enhancing her curves to the point where Benito had to control himself. To say that she looked good, was an understatement. He bit his lip while he watched her walk through a door in the back of the restaurant. A few seconds later, Marissa came back outside with a small tray in one of her hands. When she reached his table, she put the tray down. "Did you find something to eat?" she questioned, putting both of her hands behind her back. "Uh, I'll have the pancakes, some bacon and eggs and for dessert... you." Benito answered calmly. She reacted with a cheeky smile which she quickly tried to hide. "Excellent choice, Sir." Marissa said, before leaning forward, so she could take the menu. „My shift ends at 3, come over if you want to." she whispered as she grabbed the menu and leaned back into her original position. Now it was Benito who had to bite down a smile. He watched her walk back towards the back door. He knew it was gonna be a good day.
