Hikaru's POV

When we heard the door open, all of us expected it to be a girl.

But unfortunately it's a guy...

Out of nowhere, Boss came rushing up to the person. All the guests and hosts joined him, including us.

"What...?" Our new guest didn't continue his sentence.

The guy looked pretty plain, but at the same he was attractive. His messy black hair had no significance to its look. His eyes, on the other hand, were a shining crystalline blue, which hid behind those black glasses.

His clothes wasn't the Ouran Academy uniform, but I recognized the expensive clothing brand he was wearing.

However...

Boss, oblivious to the whole thing, snapped his fingers, "A commoner!"

"A commoner?!" All the girls yelled.

"A commoner!" Kaoru and I chimed, deciding to go along with his stupidness.

"A commoner?" Honey tilted his head to the side.

"A commoner," Mori nodded as if he were answering a question.

"A commoner..." Kyoya pushed up his glasses.

"A commoner?" Haruhi sounded surprised.

"I'm not a commoner though..." The commoner sweat dropped.

Tamaki struck a pose, queueing the music to play. The lights dimmed and roses appeared around him as he spun around as he spun around.

"... A ballerina?" Commoner mumbled.

Tamaki finally stopped in front of the commoner, waving his arms around in the air. "Welcome to the host club! Now, we usually don't receive male customers, but we open our arms to all gender!"

All the girls watched intently while our boss continued, "So! Tell me, young man! What kind of guy are you into!"

Queuing the special effects, the lights dimmed and us hosts received spotlights.

"Do you prefer the strong and silent type?"

"The boy-lolita?"

"How about the mischievous type?"

"Or the cool type?"

"Perhaps the natural type?"

And then our moment ended and the lights came back on. Tamaki tilted the commoner's chin, sparkling as he did so. "Or maybe..."

"You're into guys like me!"

I swear his own line was different from usual...

But that didn't matter. We still waited for n answer.

There wasn't one. The commoner opened his mouth, then closed it, then opened it, then closed it, then sighed, "Forgive me, but this wasn't my reason for coming here. If you're looking for a guy to hit on, I am not an option for you."

His last comment hit Boss straight in the chest. He was frozen in place as Commoner faced the rest of us to speak. "I am looking for Kaoru Hitachiin. I was told he would be here... After asking around the entire school..."

Everyone stared at the two of us, since they couldn't tell us apart. But we weren't willing to tell him so easily, so we kept speaking in unison. "You're looking for us?"

Commoner walked up to us, "No, actually I only need to talk to one of you."

"We won't tell you," me and Kaoru laughed. "Not unless you can tell us apart!"

"Excuse me?"

Many girls applauded, cheering for the boy to guess who was who. He glanced back and forth between the two of us, probably trying to figure out the difference. Then, he finally spoke, "I'm not here for this, I just need to talk to one of you. But if you insist on acting this way, then I'll just tell the both of you since one of you is Kaoru!"

This guy is such a disappointment and a bummer. But somewhere inside, I was relieved to see him not identify us incorrectly. Kaoru and I exchanged glances before we nodded at Commoner.

"Well, one of you is Kaoru. It has been a while, but I am happy to see you are doing well."

And so, Kaoru finally pointed himself out. "Huh? Do I know you?"

Commoner nodded, "Yes, we do. I knew you had a brother, as well, but I didn't know he was your twin." He raised out his hand for me to take. I politely took it. "Hikaru Hitachiin, correct? Nice to meet you."

I didn't like the idea of some commoner I never met before seem so close to my brother, but I couldn't do much about it. I didn't even know who he was, but he is obviously of some rich family.

Commoner...

He turned to Kaoru, again. "You were a former tutor of mine. Therefore, Kaoru Hitachiin, I would like you to be my tutor. Again."

Tutor...? Now that I think about it, Kaoru did tutor someone back then. It was...

Oh!

"Kaoru!" I tried to catch his attention. "A Hirai! This guy is Seiran Hirai."

"Oh!" Kaoru finally realized. "Are you Seiran Hirai?"

"HIRAI?!?!" The girls exclaimed.

"A Hirai?" Kyoya looked surprised, as well.

"I don't know who a Hirai is," Haruhi admitted.

"Hi-Hi-Hi-Hi-Hi..." Boss finally snapped out of his statue-like state, but was now having a seizure. Kaoru and I slapped him on the back. He came up with tears in his eyes. "HIRAI~!!!" Boss got down on his knees and started bowing to Seiran.

"Wait, what is he-?!" Seiran stepped back, shocked.

"Mori-chan! Ran-chan made Tama-chan bow to him!"

Haruhi panicked, "He's that important of a person?!"

Seiran glared at her, "What? No, I am not!"

"Emperor Hirai!" Tamaki cried.

All the girls chorused, "The King announced Seiran a higher rank! The world is ending!"

Well! Looks like Seiran caused an uproar! Kaoru and I looked at each other and nodded. Loudly, we whistled to get everyone's attention. They all stopped at what they were doing to look at us.

Seiran looked pretty uncomfortable, even after the chaos has stopped. I didn't really care, but Kaoru approached him, asking for his phone. He gave it to him and watched my twin type something into it.

"Here," Kaoru placed the phone back into Seiran's hand. "I added my number to your contacts. You can call me in a bit, cause right now really is t a good time."

"Yeah... I can see that. Would an hour from now be good?"

"That works! Bye, Seiran."

Seiran quickly left the club room. Everyone remained silent after the door shut behind him.

"... So who wants cake?" Honey asked.

Thanks to Honey's quick thinking, peace and order was restored to the host club!

Haruhi's POV

As the club was closing for the day, I stayed behind to help clean up. Hikaru and Kaoru left early, probably so Kaoru can call Seiran. Hikaru only tagged along because they were always together.

I picked up some empty tea cups and placed them on a tray to clean. "So what was all that earlier?"

"Hm?" Honey-senpai looked up from his strawberry cake. "What was what, Haru-chan?"

I motioned towards the corner, where Tamaki-senpai hasn't stopped sulking, since. "I think he knows."

"Oh, you mean Seiran Hirai," Kyoya-senpai looked up from his laptop. "I'd be willing to tell you all that I know, however we do not have much information about his family."

"Well that's a surprise," I stated. "Usually, you'd have personal information on all the students and everybody else."

Kyoya adjusted his glasses, clearing his throat. "That's because Seiran Hirai is not a student, here at Ouran Academy, plus his family wishes for any private matter of the family to remain secret between them. They have their own private staff of doctors and such, so their files are for their eyes only."

Ok, but... "I don't see what's so important about the Hirai family."

I heard him sigh. "You see, Haruhi, the Hirai family is the answer to any other family's problems. They invest in partnership business and have connections with many other countries. Seiran is their heir and had been learning to deal with money and business objectives to benefit Japan since he was young."

"So?"

"So where do you think we get our products from France, and England and other countries from? The Hirai's speak fluent in many different languages. Profit is made all thanks to them, communicating with other businesses and companies. If they weren't around, Japan might as well be suffering from poverty."

Wow. I didn't think they were that important. "But what's with Tamaki-senpai?"

Tamaki slowly got up from his corner. He seemed to have been crying all that time. "My... MASTER!!!"

Kyoya did not comment on his behavior. "Now I'm sure he has a story to explain that very reason, but let's ignore this and move on, shall we?"

"... Um, alright."

We spoke no more about Seiran, for the rest of the day.
