Seiran's POV

"So Yukari Kasanata was a disappointment?"

I nodded, "That is correct, Father. She was fired before she even arrived." Lifting up my fork, I took another bite of my salad. "All of my tutors have been of no use. Honestly, I would manage without any at all."

I continued to eat without a response from my dad. For now, it was just the two of us. Mom was on a business trip and I have no other siblings. So yes, it was just the two of us.

"Seiran," he finally said. His tone sounded so sad and pleading.

I sighed, putting my fork down. "Sorry, Dad," turning to face him, I continued. "It's just weird to speak in such a casual manner since you and Mom always made me talk formally as a kid."

Dad chuckled, "Only to make sure you get used to doing it." I let out a tiny smile. I love how easy-going and kind my parents are.

"But what you said earlier," he began. "Are you sure you don't need a tutor?"

Nodding my head, I said, "Well, I can always turn to them if I need something, but it's the same as coming to you or Mom for help. I can handle things myself, so what's the point!"

"Seiran. I cannot always be there to help you. Same with your mother. We are the Hirai family. We invest in partnership business, and it's important for us to understand who we're working with. That is why we have your tutor and servants be there for you, to aid you and help you in need. Not to mention, having a tutor exposes you to different types of people. It'll help you in the future, I promise."

I didn't say anything.

Dad looked at me straight in the eye, then out the window. "When was the last time you've seen snow?"

"Last winter," was my answer.

"Oh, but when was the last time you've gone out into the snow?"

I bit my lip, "I don't remember." My studies began later than it should have. I was to stay inside, isolating myself from the outside world to compensate for the time I had lost. From what I remember, Mom and Dad allowed me access outside maybe a year ago...? I'm not sure, I just remembered I kept inside still. "But what are you trying to say?" I asked.

"I'm trying to apologize for taking your freedom away as a child. And I also don't want to see you stuck inside this house and be anti-social for the rest of your life."

"But I'm not anti-social. I get along with every servant in this house."

"What about others who don't work for us?"

Well, there's Akari... But I can't say anything about her.

Dad looked satisfied that he won. "You see, Seiran? I knew who I was dealing and working with, so I knew how to handle the situation."

What he said made me raise an eyebrow, "And who were you working with?"

He turned to me and smiled, "My own child, Seiran Hirai."

I finished eating and called Shiroya over to clear my dishes.

"So how about Kaoru Hitachiin?" Dad suddenly told me.

"What about him?"

I watched him call a nearby maid over to take his dishes away before saying, "I think we should ask and see if he'd be willing to tutor you, again."

Akari's POV

The bell rang loudly, signaling for students of Ouran Academy to have a free period. Class was halfway done for the day and that means soon, I can get my tea.

But at least for now, I have a free period, meaning I could rest for a bit from our stupid long lessons.

That is until a certain someone decided to come, asking me many stupid questions.

"Akari, I'm looking for a student who attends this school. Do you know anyone of the name Kaoru Hitachiin? Does he happen to be in your grade? Can you specifically describe his features for me? By any chance, do you attend classes with him? Where can I find him?"

Sitting down in a chair, I let out a "hmph!" I crossed my leg over the other as my chin rested in my hand. "You know, Seiran, as much as I like being your friend, you're annoying the moment you open your mouth! And as your sempai, I shall help you!"

"... Akari, you're only a year older than me. Now, can you tell me if you know a Kaoru or not?"

I didn't bother to answer him, closing my eyes instead. "So you're here for Kaoru Hitachiin?"

"Did I not say that about three times!?"

"Yes, yes, and I don't care. You're annoying me right now, Seiran. And this is my free time!" I sigh into my hand, but peeked at my friend through my fingers. "Change your clothes! You stick out like a sore thumb!" I yelled.

Students have been staring at Seiran's attire the moment he entered the building. It was quite obvious that he was not a student at this school, so of course they'll jump to conclusions and call him a commoner or something.

Really, I was doing him a favor by telling him to change.

Seiran groaned, "I don't care about that. Forget that, just tell me if you know Kaoru Hitachiin."

"I could really go for some tea," I murmured

"... I'm done, I'll go ask around." He left the classroom before I could say anything else.

He looked like he was in a rush so he could go back home.

I muttered to myself, shaking my head at Little Seiran, "And just when I was hoping he'd go to the host club with me, after classes were done for the day, for tea! Didn't he want to see Kaoru Hitachiin?"

Hikaru's POV

"Ok! Time to play the Which One is Hikaru and Which One is Kaoru? Game!" Kaoru and I exclaimed in unison. We placed our caps on our heads and leaned close to our customers. "Well? Can you guess?"

One of the girls named Emiko giggled, "I don't know! Could you be Kaoru?" She pointed at me.

No... You're wrong.

"Whoops! Looks like you've got it wrong!" My twin and I said.

"Aw! And I was so sure!"

Me and my twin spun around before leaning towards another girl, named Chiharu, "What about you? Can you tell us apart?"

"Me? Oh, well um.. Are you Hikaru?" She pointed at Kaoru.

No...

But we never got to tell her, because all of a sudden, the club room doors slammed open.

"Excuse me, but I'm looking for Kaoru Hitachiin!"

Everyone turned their heads.

A guy?
