"Can you just listen to me for once?"

"My god woman, how many times do I have to tell you that I am busy! I work long hours and the last thing I need is to come home to a nagging wife!"

"Nagging? Oh please! I tell you to do one thing and you argue with me!"

"I'm tired! And you don't let me rest."

"You never let me rest! I'm here with the boys all day! I get them ready in the morning and I do everything for them! You do nothing."

In a house located in central Ilsan, a pair of twin boys sit waiting for their mother to bring them to daycare.

Jisung and Felix are the closest two boys could ever be.

Their parents always argued, so they usually had to entertain each other. Today, they had to go to their favorite place, daycare.

They loved their babysitters, and enjoyed the non-argumentative environment.

"Oh so I see what this is. You're mad I don't take care of those boys. It's always about the boys!"

"Because you don't care about them!"

"You're damn right I don't."

Jisung held the crying Felix's hand.

"How can you say that..."

"Because...our relationship has gone downhill since they were born. We argue all the time. I miss the peace...the silence. I miss us. Don't you?"

"Downhill? After all I have sacrificed you say it's still going downhill?"

"What exactly have you ever had to sacrifice?"

"Oh...you have the audacity to ask? Did you forget about Yechan?"

"Don't mention him."

"Why? I had to give up my baby...for you. How dare you..."

"Well you did it once. Why don't you do it again?"

Dad walks away, heading up the steps.

Mom turns to Jisung and Felix, seeing the latter crying.

"Oh honey, come on. Let's go to daycare. You'll be happier there."

Both boys hop off of the couch, still holding hands.

Together they walk behind their mom to the van, and she helps them in.

"Are you two okay?", she asks.

"Why appa say mean words?", Jisung asks.

"I don't know Jisung. I don't understand how he could be that way. But don't worry. Mama knows what to do."

Felix reaches for Mom's hand.

"Mama, you hold me?"

"I can't baby, I have to drive. But I'll give you a hug when we arrive. Both of you."

Mom buckles them in and closes the door.

She gets into the drivers seat and starts the car, driving off.

Felix wipes his eyes and looks at Jisung.

"Jiji, you think they have our favorite snack today?"

"Hmm, I don know. We ask Chan hyung when we get there."

Mom briefly looks in the rear-view mirror, and smiles.

She loves her boys, but she also loves her husband.

It's unfortunate that she has to make the choice she will make.

---------------------------------------------------------

It was Jeongin's job to do storytelling with the kids.

Every day at 11:30am, just before nap time, he would read the kids a story so they could get sleepy.

Right now it was around 9am, and he still hadn't decided on a book.

"Hyung, should we read Cat In The Hat, or What Pet Should I Get?"

"Cat In The Hat. Every kid deserves to be introduced to that masterpiece.", Changbin replied.

"Hey guys, where are the september twins?", Chan asked, "They're running late."

"Parents probably argued again. Don't worry. Their mom will show up soon.", Changbin replied.

In the front of the daycare, Seungmin the receptionist sat waiting for arrivals.

The door opened, and Mom walked in, the twins coming in behind her.

"Seungmin, good morning.", she said.

"Oh! Good morning Mrs. Lee-Han. And good morning to you too, twinnies."

Jisung and Felix waved to him.

"Boys, you be good for your hyungs, okay?"

"Yes mama!", the boys replied.

They each hugged one of her legs. She ruffled their hair before leaving.

Seungmin got up and led the twins to the area with the rest of the children.

"Hyungs! And Innie of course, the twins are here!"

All of the adults ran to hug the boys.

"Hyungies!", Felix yelled.

"We miss you!", Jisung also yelled.

"We missed you too babies! The weekend was too long.", Chan replied.

"Did you eat breakfast?", Hyunjin asked.

"No, we late so we not eat.", Felix answered.

"I'll make something. For now, why don't you join the other kids?"

Felix and Jisung held hands and ran off.

"They're the sweetest.", Chan said.

"Maybe we can convince their mom to let us keep them.", Jeongin added.

"Like she would do that-"

Jisung and Felix decided on joining a group of boys playing with toy cars and soft blocks.

All the kids here were age five and under, as another daycare down the street was for kids six and older.

"Hi Jiji! Hi Lixie!", a boy named Tae said.

"Hi Tae!", they said in unison.

"Want play blocks? My appa say we can throw these at people and it won't hurt.", another boy, also named Minho, asked.

"Let's do it!", Jisung agreed.

The boys started tossing blocks at each other.

Adult Chan stood watching them, taking notes in the case that someone accidentally gets knocked out.

Time started to go by, albeit a bit slowly.

The twins ate, played, had storytime with the others and took a nap.

Around 2pm, everyone had lunch, and then snack time.

All the while, the babysitters kept an eye on the kids.

Minho, the person in charge of the babies, was holding a little boy just a few weeks old.

"Chan hyung, look. He's smiling."

Chan walked over.

"How precious. Hmm, have you decided what to do with him?"

"I can't bring myself to put him in foster care. I wish we could know where he came from."

Jisung came speeding over to the two men.

"A baby!", he said.

"Want to see him?", Minho asked.

"Yes please!"

Minho crouched down, holding the baby in front of Jisung.

To their wonder, the little boy had a confused face.

He turned around, calling for Felix.

His twin ran over, seeing the baby.

"Jiji, what he doing here?"

"I not know. Why not at home wiv mama?"

Minho and Chan looked at each other, then back to the twins.

"Jisung, Felix, do you know this baby?", Chan asked.

"Yes! It our brother! Yechan!", Felix answered.

Minho gasped.

"Chan, that explains why we didn't see their mom for so long."

"She probably didn't want us to know she was pregnant."

"So...she gave this baby to us, without us knowing it was hers. But why? She already had the twins."

"I could wager a guess. Let's wait and ask her."

Now dealing with this new information, Chan and Minho informed the others.

Jisung and Felix, happy to know their little brother is here, continued to play.

Pretty soon the 6pm hour had come, and kids were going home.

Seungmin was busy collecting them.

"Minho! Your dad is here!"

"My dad?", Minho asked.

"Not you, idiot. Kid Minho."

"Oh...makes sense."

The tiny four-year-old came running into the lobby.

"Appaaaaaaaa!", he yelled.

"Hi Minho!"

His dad picked him up.

"Thanks again for babysitting.", the dad said.

"You're welcome. See you tomorrow?"

"For sure."

"Appa, I go play with cousin Taemin?"

"That kid has issues, you two can't play together."

Seungmin laughed as the pair exited.

More kids and parents left the daycare, and it was almost empty.

Just five kids remained, including Jisung, Felix, and Yechan.

"I ate a sunflower, it taste good.", Felix said.

"I ate a dandelion! It nasty.", a girl they called Ryu added.

"Ewww. You guys nasty.", another girl they called Chae replied.

"Don be mean to Ryu!", Jisung said.

"I be mean to my sister if I want!"

"Girls! Your mom is here!", Seungmin yelled.

Ryu and Chae, ages five and four, got up and held hands before leaving.

Now, just the boys were left.

Hyunjin and Changbin sat with them.

"Mom running late again hm?", Changbin asked.

"Yeah. But, she come soon! And we tell her we find Yechan."

The group sat there, waiting.

7pm.

8pm.

9pm.

Three hours after pickup time and she hadn't arrived.

The place had been closed up, and they all sat outside, waiting.

Chan had tried calling, texting, and even sent an email.

Nothing.

When he called a third time, his number was blocked.

"Seungmin hyung.", Jisung said.

"Yes Jisung?"

"Mama leave us here?"

They all looked at Jisung.

Felix looked at Seungmin for an answer too.

"Why she not come take us home?"

"I...I don't know baby."

The boys tilted their heads down.

Deep down, the men knew what had happened.

Their mother had left them here.

Just like she left Yechan.

Hyunjin stepped over to Chan.

"What do we do? Jisung and Felix are going to be heartbroken. And what about Yechan?"

"Don't worry Hyunjin. I have an idea."

Chan stands in front of everyone.

They all turned to him.

"Our couple, please come forward."

Minho and Seungmin came up.

"Please watch the siblings. I'm headed to the police station to file a motion."

"A motion? For what?", Minho asked, feeding Yechan a bottle.

Chan watched the twins look up at him, pouts on their faces.

"A motion to force Mrs. Lee-Han and her husband to forfeit custody. I'm tired of these boys being mistreated. I won't treat them that way."

Jisung and Felix get up, walking to Chan.

"You...take us home?", Felix asked, a single tear falling.

Chan crouched down.

"Would you be okay with that?"

They hugged him.

"Yes!"

"Then it's settled."

Chan stood up.

"Today begins my adventure as a dad!"

"But didn't you tell me I could call you da-", Hyunjin started.

"You shut your mouth."
