Kate looked out of the bus window, lost in her thoughts. Until a few days earlier she was in New York city, stuck between thousands of exhausting part time jobs, but now she finally managed to  save enough money to attend her dream college, and now there she was, headed to a town that stood in the middle of nothing, except for miles and miles of wild woods. She instinctively checked her phone to see if there was any internet connection, and, thankfully, there seemed to be a decent connection even in the middle of nowhere. Somehow.

As she turned the phone off she caught a glimpse of her own reflection on the screen. She had pale skin, and two big chocolate brown eyes. Her long dark brown hair was up in two space buns. She had big ass dark circles under her eyes, maybe it was the weather, maybe it was the fact she hadn't slept in a week. Who knows. 

She sighed in relief knowing that even in college she would have been able to read cringy fanfiction on the internet, the type where eyes are described as orbs. She slumped into her seat, taking out some headphones from her bag and putting on some music, wondering why the fuck didn't she do that earlier since the trip was five hours long. 

Shortly after the bus stopped, and the driver loudly announced the station's name. Kate's heart skipped a beat, finally she would have set foot in the awesome W.E.R.E.W.O.L.F. Academy, also Known as Where Educational, Right, Erratic, Weird, Obnoxious, Lowlifes, Fuck off to Academy. She had heard about their amazing learning programs and their rich variety of majors. 

She was brought back to reality by the voice of the bus driver: "YO, YOU LITTLE GAL, GET THE FUCK OFF ME BUS I GOT WORK TO DO!" And before she could say anything she was picked up and thrown out the bus door. Gotta love the locals. She got up from the station's floor, and started looking for some signs that would point to her college's location. She quickly realized after roaming the streets for a while that she was definitely lost. That day was going very well for her. 

Suddenly she noticed a cop arguing with a lady who crashed her car trough a fence. She got closer hoping to be able to ask for directions.

"YOU CAN'T FINE ME I WILL SUE YOU" The lady looked enraged

"MAAM YOU CRASHED TROUGH A GODDAMN FENCE" The police woman looked so tired.

"I WANT TO SPEAK TO YOUR MANAGER" Fuck, she was a Karen.

"KAREN THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS WEEK, YOU CANNOT DESTROY PEOPLE'S PROPERTIES BECAUSE THEY DON'T LIKE BEANS" Yelled once again the police woman, in tears.

Kate was kind of intimidated by the yelling, but she gathered her courage and spoke: "Uhm, excuse me?" Both of the ladies' heads snapped in her direction. 

"WHAT?!" Both of them yelled at the same time, the police woman was now straight up crying.

"I- uh... Do you know how can i get to the W.E.R.E.W.O.L.F. Academy from here?" She managed to say, ignoring the murderous glare that Karen was shooting at her.

The police woman regained her composure: "Well-"

"DO YOU LIKE BEANS, YOUNG GIRL?!" The middle aged woman grabbed Kate by her collar.

"What the FU-" Kate pushed her away, but Karen jumped on her.

"BEANS BITCH, HAS YOUR ASS EVER HEARD OF BEANS" Karen kept on screaming, but she was quickly pulled away from the poor girl by the cop.

"OK BEAN LADY THAT IS ENOUGH, YOU ARE UNDER ARREST FOR VANDALISM AND ASSAULT, I AIN'T FORGETTING ABOUT THE ROCK YOU THREW AT NO-BEANS-JOHNNY'S HEAD" She handcuffed Karen and pushed her into her car, then she turned around to face Kate: "Hey college girl, do you need a ride, i can drop you off at the campus"

"OH YES, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!" Kate beamed, being tired from aimlessly roaming around the town for hours.

Kate hopped into the police car, in the passenger's seat, placing her bag down in front of her, hearing Karen scream something about beans from the back seat. She turned to the police woman "Thank you so much miss..."

"Sarah Mendoza, that's my name" She said, starting up the engine. Her hair was short and red, and she had a few freckles on her face. She had gloomy green eyes and a scar across her lips.

"T-Thank you miss. Mendoza, i don't know what i would have done without you" Kate smiled, buckling her belt. Sarah just nodded, and the rest of the ride was silent. Except for Karen's screams.

As promised, Kate was dropped off in front of the entrance of the campus. Her heart was exploding inside her chest from how excited she was. Sadly she missed the orientation by a few hours, but she was determined to make the most out of her college life, and so, after checking her phone to see if she remembered the number right, she headed to her dorm. 

So there she was, standing in front of room 134, with her keys in hand, ready to meet her new room mates. She took a deep breath and opened the door. Immediately she was met with a loud crash and by three people screaming.

"MY JENGA TOWER" a girl screamed "IT TOOK SO MUCH TIME TO BUILD YOU MONSTER!!" She was pointing her finger at a not better identified person sitting on a bean bag, who was having the time of their life and laughing their ass off.

A third girl bust trough the door, holding a Hello kitty pink baseball bat "STOP FUCKING SCREAMING YOU GAVE ME AN HEART ATTACK I THOUGHT SOMEONE WAS BEING MURDERED"

"MY JENGA TOWER WAS MURDERED" Cried the first girl, moving her long blonde hair from her face, as the person sitting on the couch laughed even harder. "SHUT UP YOU ASS" She grabbed a pillow and started smacking the other one with it, as the second girl set her bat down sighing.

Kate was standing at the door paralyzed, not knowing whether she was enjoying the show or if she was utterly terrified, as the blonde girl avenged the fallen Jenga tower. The girl with the bat just then noticed her.

"OH, are you the fourth room mate? So you finally came" Kate nodded slowly as the fight stopped. All eyes were on the newcomer, who was regretting her life choices.

Bat girl broke the silence, swinging the bat over her shoulders and approaching Kate "Look at what you've done guys, you scared her! The name's Happy, nice to meet you, i promise i don't bite." She offered her hand to Kate, who after hesitating for a moment shook it, while trying to decide on what part of her new room mate's appearance she should focus on. Her short curly hair was dyed Lavender, fading into a bright light blue, which clashed with her dark skin and eyes. Her clothing was a middle ground between a goth and a pastel aesthetic. And that Hello Kitty bat didn't look too welcoming.

Kate closed the door behind her as Happy walked over to the remains of the Jenga tower. The person sitting on the bean bag got up, and after stretching their arms above their head, they turned to Kate: "Sorry for the mess dude, Zarya here has a bit of a temper, you know? Anyway my name is Lou, and in case you're wondering, no."

"No what"

"No" Kate looked at them in confusion.  But she didn't have time to say anything else because Lou was hit on the head by a flying pillow.

"I DON'T HAVE A TEMPER" Zarya yelled, her green eyes filled with anger. Now that they were closer Kate noticed how short the blonde girl was.

"You sure don't" said Lou, shielding their face from any other incoming pillow. 

Zarya turned to Kate with a dramatic hair flip: "Sorry for the chaos, Lou can be a little shit sometimes, they already told you my name, so welcome! I promise we are not this rowdy usually"

"We aren't?!" Happy popped up from the small kitchen holding a can of coke. Zarya shot a glare at her.

Lou put a hand on Kate's shoulder "Come, i'll show you your room, you must be tired!" So they passed through one of the doors, which led to a small bedroom, with a bed, a small desk with a library next to it and a wardrobe. "At the orientation they said you can do anything in the room as long as you don't damage the furniture, so have fun decorating" They smiled fondly at her, and Kate got to have a good look at their face. They were covered in freckles, and had hazel eyes. Their light brown hair was really short, in a kind of masculine haircut. they had a shiny septum that complemented their face nicely, and they were quite hecking tall.

"Do you need help unpacking?" Zarya's head popped from the door. "Or you want something to drink? We are all already settled, so if you need anything let us know girlie." 

"Thank you so much, but i'll just unpack my things myself, i didn't bring much anyway, but do you have a can of coke for me as well? I'm about to die of thirst!"

"ONE COKE COMING RIGHT UP!" Happy yelled from the kitchen, and soon appeared with a coke in her hand, then everyone left the room, leaving Kate to unpack by herself. From what she saw, the apartment appeared to have one bathroom in common, a small kitchen and a living room, and then a small hallway with four doors that led into everyone's rooms. Her room was the farthest from the entrance, but it was really cozy, so it wasn't much of a problem.

She laid on her bed sipping her coke. She felt so tired from all the traveling and roaming around. Her room mates were very chaotic, but they seemed nice. She smiled. It looked like her stay at the academy was going to be great.
