cannot let me live my life without you by my side

As his lips met hers,
there is some sort of warmth
that filled her soul in that moment.

She smiled
and he pulls apart from the kiss,
catching his breath,
as he searches something in her eyes.

He lets out a breathless laugh
"Why are you smiling?"
With that question she laughs, as if it were obvious.

"I'm kissing you"

She answers while closing the gap between them.

His heart stopped.

At that moment
he never truly thought he felt more
alive.
