"Mom, calm down," Sophie said into the phone, laughing slightly.
"How can I calm down?"
"Because it's not true," Sophie said, waving off her question. "We've only been married about two or three months."
"But have you guys even talked about anything in the future?" Edaline asked.
"Well, there are things in passing. Look, we're still in college. We'll continue to be in college for a few years. I'm not even old enough to have alcohol legally, why would I even think about that right now?"
"Think about what?" Keefe asked, startling her.
She jumped in her spot and glared at him. "Don't sneak up on me like that."
"Who's there? Is that Keefe? Give your husband the phone-"
"I've got to go, bye mom," Sophie quickly said, cutting her off and turning off the phone. "What's up?" She asked Keefe.
"I was just grabbing my bag for my next class which starts in about ten minutes so I should probably leave. What was she asking you about?"
"Just our future," Sophie said, smiling slightly. "Nothing to worry about. I told her nothing right now because we're still in college."
"You know, with the way our class schedules work out it could technically work out," he said, shrugging. "But like you said, not right now. I'm going to go to class, bye." He quickly kissed her cheek before walking away.
She stared at him in shock as he walked away before shaking her head.

"You're late," Biana stated when Sophie sat down in her normal chair. Every Thursday Biana, Ashla, Sophie, and Jensi would meet at this one pizza place for lunch because it was the only day they could all meet at the same time. Originally it was just Sophie, Ashla, and Jensi, but when Biana started to calm down as a person and became closer to Sophie , she was invited.
"Sorry, phone call with my mom," she said, frowning. "What did I miss?"
"The waiter is super hot," Ashla said, grinning.
"That's terrible," Sophie said, frowning. "Don't flirt with him."
"What? Why? I'm single and have been ready to mingle for my entire life, thank you very much."
"What about my brother?" Biana asked, staring at her.
"What about your brother?" She question, shaking her head. "Look, Fitz and I are not a thing and have never really been a thing. You know, I thought we could be a thing but Every single time he's with Linh they're a thing without even saying it and I just. . . I don't think it will happen. I need to move on and this guy is gorgeous. Support me?"
"I'll support," Jensi said in a monotone voice. "But I'm not happy about it."
"I'm not happy about you and Marella but you don't see me whining," Ashla retorted.
His eyes widened. "Me and Marella are nothing."
"Okay, sure," Sophie sarcastically replied, "and my mom totally didn't bug me about grandchildren today." She rolled her eyes. "I'll support," she told Ashla, smiling.
"We'll get to that remark later," Biana told Sophie before turning to Ashla, "and I guess I support too."
"Thanks guys!"
"What's his name?" Sophie asked.
"Cael," she cheered, grinning.
"Cael? Like, Stina's ex, Cael? The one who I dated before he got together with Stina."
Ashla shook her head. "You don't think. . ."
"Honey, you're screwed. He's still completely and utterly obsessed and devoted to her." Biana let out a small laugh. "Good luck."
She let groaned. "Never mind, then." She shrugged. "Rebound anyways."
"From who? You haven't been on a date in years. Oh wait," Biana's voice turned sarcastic. "Could it be my brother who you denied just a minute or so ago?" She smirked.
"Hey, is your period coming soon?" Sophie asked cautiously.
Biana glared at her. "If you weren't a girl and knew how annoying that is I would be planning your murder right now."
"Seriously, what's up?" Jensi asked, frowning. "You've been in a mood all day."
Biana sighed. "My parents are the issue."
"Alden? Della? What did they do this time?"
"Well, our brother Alvar is getting married and they told me that they already set me up to go with someone."
"Your parents set you up on a blind date? They know you're in a relationship, right?" Biana shrugged in reply. "They don't know, do they?"
"I don't know. It's never really been mentioned. And they're probably in the huge Dex and Marella fan club. How do you think they'd feel if they found out I broke them up." She sighed.
"You need to tell them. Do you know who they set you up with?"
"Zed," she answered with a shrug. "I don't know."
Before anyone could reply their food was brought to their table. Sophie checked her phone. "Hey, I've got to go home and call my bio fam. I'll talk to you all later."
