Chapter V: A Crush and a Confession
Libra stood patiently outside in the dark, waiting for her friend to answer the door. Beside her, Pisces was shaking her legs back and forth, either due to the slight breeze in the air or the insane amounts of energy that she possessed. Libra was surprised that she was able to get the smaller girl to Sagittarius' house a little earlier than when the party was planned to start.
An hour prior, Libra let herself in through Pisces' front door, as she was there so often that there was little need to knock. She walked up the stairs to the second floor, already fearing the worst. Libra approached the door that led to Pisces' bedroom, which was covered in posters of bands and popular television shows. A small cardboard hanger hung on the doorknob saying Do Not Disturb. Libra sighed, knowing what this meant, and slammed it open. "Wake up!" she yelled, jumping on top of the snoozing fish sign. Pisces just groaned and pulled the covers farther over her head. She was prone to falling asleep at the end of the school day, and Libra knew this.
"C'mon we have a party to go to, remember?" Libra inquired, still jumping on the bed. "Sagi wants us to go early so that she can tell us something important."
"What kind of something?" Pisces muttered, annoyed.
"She didn't say, but she mentioned that it was top-secret and had to do with all of our friends."
At that, Pisces bolted upright in her bed, looking at her brunette friend with sleepy eyes. "Well, what are we waiting for, then?"
Libra was snapped out of her thoughts by the sound of a door being opened. On the other side was a smiling Sagittarius, who ushered them in.
Sagi brought them over to her living room and sat down on the carpet. In front of her were some bowls of chips and snacks, already set out for the night ahead. Pisces and Libra followed her lead and sat down, facing her. Sagittarius looked both left and right, as if someone would be watching from within the empty house, and turned back to the two of them.
"Okay, so what I'm about to tell you is top-secret, confidential, and most importantly, must never be heard by the ears of our friends."
Libra and Pisces just nodded their heads in understanding, as Pisces pulled the bowl of popcorn closer.
"The reason why I've brought you two here today, before the arrival of the others, is because I have a life-long mission given to me by Cupid himself. I entrust you two, as fellow warriors of love to help me execute this plan."
"Just get on with it!" Pisces said with a mouthful of popcorn."
Sagittarius glared at her before continuing. "Capricorn and Scorpio. Virgo and Leo. Cancer and Aquarius. We get at least two of those suckers together tonight."
"Woah, woah. Wait, hold up," Libra started. "Cancer and Aquarius?"
"Haven't you ever seen those two sneaking off into the woods? I bet they're already together and they just haven't told us yet."
Pisces gasped, causing her to choke on a piece of popcorn.
"Plus I probably shouldn't be telling you guys this, but I found out why Virgo and Cancer broke up."
Libra and Pisces leaned in closer, intrigued.
"Virgo broke up with Cancer because she believed that he had feelings for Aquarius, as they've been spending a lot of time together, and she figured that she'd just let him go. I mean, haven't you seen the way that Aquarius looks at him?"
"Oh my goodness," Libra put a hand to her heart. "I've never really noticed, but now that I think about it, you're right."
"Okay I can understand that ship, but what about Virgo and Leo? They hate each other," Pisces stated.
"I dunno, they're both really into artistic stuff and are very opinionated," Sagi reasoned.
"I'm still going to have to object to that one," Pisces squinted at her.
Libra seemed perplexed, and then stated," Wait, we're missing a few zodiacs here." She started counting on her fingers. "Me, Pisces, you, Aries, Taurus, and Gemini."
Sagittarius smiled. "Easy. You and Aries, Pisces and Taurus."
Libra looked like she was going to throw up and made a hacking sound.
"But what about Gemini?" Pisces questioned.
"I, uh, haven't really figured him out yet," Sagittarius blushed. A wave of knowledge slapped across Pisces' face and she started grinning like a maniac.
Just then, the doorbell started ringing, followed by Aries busting open the door, letting in Leo, Cancer, and him. "What is this, a seance?" he asked, noticing the three of them huddled closed together on the floor.
"Nothing, nothing, nothing," Sagittarius smiled innocently.
Meanwhile, Aquarius and Gemini were walking to Sagittarius' house, now only about a block away. Gemini devilishly smirked at Aquarius, creeping her out.
"What?!"
"What are you hoping you'll get dared tonight?" he asked back.
"What do you mean?"
He laughed. "I mean, are you hoping you'll get dared to do seven minutes in heaven with, say, a blond haired boy, our age, yay-high?"
Aquarius blushed and pushed him off the curb. "I'll kill you."
They took the turn onto Sagi's driveway and walked up to the door, knocking. Pisces opened it and let them into the house, where all the other zodiacs were already waiting in a circle. Aquarius and Gemini plopped themselves on opposite ends of the circle, Aquarius between Aries and Leo, and Gemini between Libra and Sagittarius.
"Alright!" Sagittarius yelled over the chatter, waiting for them to quiet down. "Who would like to start?"
Virgo raised her hand eagerly. "Leo. Truth or dare?"
Leo groaned, knowing that this wouldn't be good. "Dare."
"I dare you to shove a glass of ice down your pants." The group started laughing as Leo went to the freezer to get the ice in dismay. He shrieked as he poured it down his pants and hobbled back to the circle.
He glared at Virgo before turning to Aquarius. "Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"Boo," Leo said. "Do you and Gemini have a thing?"
Gemini and Aquarius laughed. "Oh yeah, doncha know we're married?" She joked in a ridiculous fake accent.
Leo rolled his eyes. "Why do I even bother..."
Aquarius clapped her hands, ready to get on with the game. "Okay. Aries, you know the drill."
"I NEVER turn down a dare!" he exclaimed to no one in particular.
"Perfect." Aquarius stroked her nonexistent beard. "I dare you to do whatever I say for the rest of the night."
"What kind of dare is that?" Aries asked, slightly terrified.
"Silence, slave. Rub my feet," Aquarius demanded, holding her foot up to his face, making the rest of the group laugh.
Aries groaned and turned to Pisces. "Truth or dare?"
"Uh, uh, uh," Aquarius interjected. "Ask Scorpio."
"Are you fu-"
"Keep it PG-13!" Libra yelled.
Aries looked about ready to fight someone. "Scorpio. Truth. Or. Dare."
Aquarius eyed Cancer from across the circle, sending him an eyebrow waggle. Cancer just winked in return. To her dismay, Virgo witnessed this exchange.
Scorpio, already catching onto those two and fearing what was to come said, "Dare."
Aquarius whispered her task into Aries' ear. Aries cleared his throat, speaking up. "Scorpio. Aquarius dares you to say whether or not you're single. Dang Aquarius, I didn't know you swung that way."
Aquarius hit him on the back of the head.
Scorpio took a big gulp and looked at Sagittarius, fully prepared for the girl to kill her once she heard her answer. "The truth is...no."
Sagittarius jumped up from where she was sitting in a fit of rage. "This is preposterous! How could you not tell me?! You are ruining the ships! The ships!! Who is the culprit?!"
"Sagittarius, if you would just calm your tits and sit down, maybe I would tell you who it was." At this, Sagi sat down criss-cross applesauce and folded her hands in the lap, waiting.
"Ugh, I can't take this anymore!" Capricorn exclaimed. He grab Scorpio's hand, raising it in the air. "We're together now. Happy?"
"Yes, very, thank you," Sagi said with a look of pure joy on her face, clapping. This caused the rest of the gang to break out in a chorus of whistles and applause.
"Gemini." Scorpio eyed him maliciously, as if he were her prey. "T or D?"
"Dare, yo," he said nonchalantly.
"I dare you to sit in Taurus' lap the rest of the game and suck your thumb, calling Taurus your momma."
"Now that's just cruel," Gemini argued, walking over to Taurus. "What's up, man? Guess you're my mother for the night." He sat down awkwardly in Taurus' lap, as he was much taller than the brunette. "Okay my turn." He scanned the crowd, his eyes landing on Aquarius, and much like Scorpio had, he gave her a malevolent grin. Her eyes pleaded with him to pick someone else, anyone else. Gemini suddenly snapped his head in a certain blond boy's direction.
"You. Aquarius. Seven minutes in heaven. Leggo!" He got up to push the two of them into the closet, then turned around, brushing the imaginary dust off of his hands. "Now that Cancer and Aquarius are out of the way, who's next?"

P. S. At least I have an excuse. AP tests, man. They suck the life outta ya. I'm also performing two of my original songs at my school's art show on Friday, so I've been practicing like crazy. I also (might) be writing a musical, since I have written enough songs to release like 2-4 albums. I already have the characters and the plot written. Tbh, I don't think I'll share it on here, but if enough of you guys want me to, then maybe I will. Okay bye.
