"The new land is a whole lot more bigger and spacious. Shit we can make a small village with all the space we have."

The werewolf alpha silently watched his beta laugh as if he told the most hilarious joke ever.

"We've also built the omega house you've requested so the omegas can feel a lot more comfortable without the fear of new members causing them any grief." The beta continued gesturing towards the huge two story house in blue and dark brown. "The omegas are already setting up."

The alpha nodded at the taller male watching a few of the omegas carrying in their belongings into their new home.

"Ah Hoseok-ah has also said that the omegas were extremely thankful for having their own space from the pack house. So his suggestion was right on the money!"

There he goes again laughing like he's the funniest thing since memes.

The black haired male just casually walked off without uttering a word hoping to see the rest of their lands sooner rather than later and his beta was being too slow about the updates in regards to the pack's move.

The taller male quickly caught up with his alpha internally scolding himself for lingering when he knew that the man had to tend to other pack businesses.

"The homes you requested for the mated couples were also built-"

"Has everything I've requested been dealt with perfectly?" The black haired male suddenly spoke up cutting off the rest of his beta's words.

"Yes Alpha."

"Are the members doing well with the transition?"

"Yes Alpha, they're doing swimmingly."

"Is there anything else I should know before I go?"

"The head of the paranormal council called, he has arranged a dinner meeting for you with the leader of the lion pride on the private lands west of ours, and his family of course."

That had the alpha's interest as a single brow arched it's way up but other than that the male's facial muscle didn't change much.

The beta nervously scratched the back of his neck has if fearing his alpha's reaction of the next words on his tongue.

"Speak Chanyeol."

The man demanded making the beta sigh in defeat.

"The King of the lion pride's mate and step son are vampires."

The next brow slowly joined its brother for a few seconds in a show of genuine surprise with a bit of interest before slowly lowering to their natural place once more.

"How interesting." The alpha mumbled.

"His two sons, which are lions, will also be attending. So we'll be having a group of five over tonight at eight for dinner. I've spoken to the eldest son who seems to be the heir and second in command. I've also asked Seokjin to prepare the meal for tonight." Chanyeol finished off with a soft smile.

"Our pack therapist is man of many talents. Make sure the pack is informed about our guests tonight. I will not take any insult of sorts lightly." The man mumbled.

"Yes Alpha Yoongi."

The said male made his way towards his own home that was a little far back from the rest of the many houses that littered the lands. It wasn't like he didn't enjoy being around the other members it's just that he enjoyed the comforts of his own space more.

Chanyeol was also given his own space even though he refused at first but took it once Yoongi demanded he did with his usual bored expression but he used his alpha voice that left no room for arguments.

Even though he hardly ever showed it in his expression, Yoongi loved his pack very much and cared about each and every member because they were a family.

"Hyung, is that you?"

A familiar voice called out the moment the male walked through the threshold of his home. The man gave a dull 'yea' while removing his shoes at the entrance fort.

"I'm in the kitchen." The voice said.

Yoongi made his way in the direction he assumed the voice came from, walking through the living room he noticed was very spacious and filled with the familiar furniture of his until he found the kitchen.

"Jungkook..."

The said male lifted his head up from his task of making sandwiches, his bright bunny like smile making an appearance.

"Yo. I made lunch!"

Yoongi walked over to the kitchen counter taking a seat on one of the counter stools, picking up a sandwich from the stack on a plate before taking a bite.

Ham, yum.

"We'll be having guests for dinner later tonight so no need to make dinner." The older informed will a mouth full of goodness.

The bunny laughed at the older male's chipmunk like cheeks.

"Hyung, finish eating first before speaking! And who are these guests?"

Yoongi waited until he was finished chewing like the younger had asked before answering.

"The King of the lion pride and his family. His mate and three sons. They own the private lands next to ours. The head of the council arranged it, thought it was a good idea for us to meet." Yoongi explained, finishing his sandwich in four more bites.

Jungkook slide a place over with two more sandwich smiling a bit at how the older subtly lit up at the sight of food. Shifters in general tends to eat a lot.

The younger reached for one of his own only to come to a pause at the intense look he was getting from the alpha.

"What's wrong?"

"Our guests...."

"Yea, are lions. Nothing wrong with that Hyung. Is it the whole felines and canines don't get along, thing you're worried about?"

Yoongi shook his head at the absurdity of that logic. "The King, his mate and step son are vampires."

As the words fell from his lips, Yoongi watched how Jungkook's eyes widen in shook before his entire face transformed into one of pure white justified and unjustified anger.

"Fucking vampires! Are you kidding me?!" The younger shouted causing Yoongi to frown because his wolf didn't like the tone one bit and it wanted Yoongi to correct it.

"Did you just shout at me?" The black haired male asked in a calm but cold tone making Jungkook's hairs stand on end.

Idiot calm down!

"I'm sorry Alpha." The younger tilted his head in submission to show that he meant no disrespect.

The older hummed accepting the apology. "I understand where your anger comes from but you must also understand that, they are not the vampires that killed your parents. Not all vampires are the same, you must remember that. So I expect your best behavior."

The two sat in silence for a whole ten minutes before Yoongi decided to break it so the younger would stop sulking.

"Are you ready for school tomorrow?"

"Yes."

"Make sure you set your alarm at least five times because I know you don't want me to wake you up again."

Jungkook shivered at the thought of last time Yoongi woke him up for school instinctively covering his hair with his large hands.

"Y-Yes Alpha."

The shorter male smiled softly before it vanished just as quickly as it came.

"How was your day?"

"Oh? I helped Hoseok-hyung today with an omega that had her heat in front of the pack house, where a few of the newer members were, before you arrived that is. It was like a frenzy. Had to put the poor girl on my back and bolt outta there. Thank the moon goddess that a few of the pack warriors were around." Jungkook sighed at the memory.

Yoongi nodded his head in understanding.

"Good beta."

Jungkook blushed at the small praise because he knew Yoongi didn't praise people a lot, if at all. He was very glad to be a beta at that moment. He may not be the beta of the pack but he was the alpha's adoptive brother and that's just as good maybe even better.
