"Why don't you guys go and start dinner without us while I try to talk your father out of the car."

Taehyung sighed recalling his mother's words from earlier.

They were all currently having dinner at the alpha's house instead of the pack house because of what happened prior, outside to be exact. The weather was cool and not too hot and being outside just felt more appealing than being inside the stuffy house.

The picnic table had various food laid out in front of them, tempting them to dive right in but the chef for tonight was adamant about them touching a single chopstick because he wasn't done preparing so that gave them time to talk amongst themselves and hopefully Woojin and Anyun would be back by then.

But Taehyung didn't want to talk, even though his lion was practically begging for him to move closer to its mate, the human side just wanted to be alone for a bit just to collect his thoughts.

He should be happy about finding his mate, excited even, but Taehyung doesn't know how to feel. To be honest he never thought about what would happen when he found his mate because he never thought about wanting one.

Maybe if we were alone.....

The brunette felt a slight nudge from his left side breaking him away from his messy thoughts only to find Namjoon staring at him with a concerned smile.

Since he was suddenly pulled from his thoughts, his mind couldn't catch up with his mouth quick enough before blurting out. "What's up? Are you hungry?"

Normally said question wouldn't be a cause for alarm but since Namjoon was a vampire, his brothers couldn't help but be worried.

"Wait, is he hungry?" Baekhyun asked from Taehyung's right, cutting his conversation with his mate right down the middle to give his full attention to his brother.

The blonde stared at the two brunettes, a confused frown gracing his beautiful face. Neither boys said a word, but just watched as the vampire's soft brown hues lit up with realization, with a light red blush which was such a contrast to his pale skin.

Cute.

The two lions thought watching as the blonde fumbled with his words. "I-I'm fine-- I'm not that hungry..."

Taehyung smiled. "Well--"

"Why are you here then?"

Ex-fucking-cuse you?

Baekhyun quickly started to rub Taehyung's back in a calming way, noticing how his face took on a dark expression as soon as those words echoed through the air.

"Jungkook!"

The alpha gave a warning growl to the raven haired boy that sat in front of Namjoon.

At that moment Taehyung wanted to jump over the table and strangle the little shit but he kept his calm for his brothers' and parents' sake. And maybe just a little for the alpha.

"My, my, my, everywhere I go I seem to find jackasses like you." Taehyung beamed with an all too sickeningly sweet voice.

That got the kid growling out his displeasure. "Excuse me?"

"You're excuse."

"Taehyung!"

Both of his brothers exclaimed in slight disappointment. This is not how they wanted this dinner to go at all.

"Jungkook, didn't I warn you to be on your best behavior? I will not have you disrespect my mate and his family like this!"

Taehyung didn't know what was going on but hearing Yoongi's deep and commanding voice sent shivers down his spine. He also had the sudden urge to curl up into the man and pet him until he calmed down.

'Fuck I'm losing my mind already with this mate thing.'

"Wait...your mate?" The confused look on the ravenette's face was so innocent that Taehyung almost forgot his anger. Almost.

"Yes. Chanyeol and I found our mates at the same time." The alpha explained. The poor kid looked really shocked. Since he carried the wolf off to get medical treatment, he wasn't there when the whole situation made itself known.

Jungkook looked down on his hands that laid lifeless in his lap slowly processing the information he got. He glanced up, eyes automatically locking with soft brown orbs causing the owner to flinch slightly, quickly looking down to avoid the wolf's intense gaze.

He could hear his wolf growled and snarled demanding that Jungkook claim the vamp and make him theirs. But he was a stubborn fool fueled by anger that was heavily misplaced.

The logical part of him begged him to stop his irrational anger and not deny himself his mate but again, he was a stubborn little boy still caught up in the past and all he could do was toss looks filled with confusion, misery, want and longing at the pretty vamp. The sad part was that Jungkook didn't even realized how open he was.

But someone else saw it all....and they knew.

Taehyung watched the boy closely and he just knew. It was the same look that their father gave their mother all those years ago when they all just met. The look that screamed, yes this person is my mate. Shit.

'A vampire hating wolf is my brother's mate.....fuck!'
