"Oi! Park Jimin, I will set you on fucking fire if you make me mess up this assignment! Do you have any idea how long it took me to do this?!"

Taehyung growled in irritation at his best friend who was currently trying to get the younger's attention by throwing popcorn at him.

The said male huffed falling backwards onto the other's bed, his freshly dyed pink hair sprawling effortlessly atop the dark blue covered pillow.

To say the slightly older was annoyed was an understatement. Originally he came over after a busy day of cleaning, his mother was in spring cleaning mode. Everything had to be spotless and shine. The poor boy felt like he was dying after all that and he just wanted to relax and chill with his best friends, but alas the fates were against him.

Jimin found out earlier that his best friends, their elder brother and parents were having dinner tonight with the head of the new family that came into town recently. They had bought the old land next to the Kims which was just as big.

Normally no one could afford a land that big, well except Taehyung's family of course, but they had enough space as it is, they didn't want to be greedy as Mr. Kim had explained.

"They must be loaded." The mochi sneered, as the idea of rich snobby people came to mind.

"I thought mochis were sweet, not salty."

Jimin sprang up into a sitting position as the voice of his other best friend reached his ears.

"Joonie~" The male whined, successfully extracting a low chuckle from the other.

"Hi Chim." The blonde walked over to his brother's bed taking a seat next to their shorter friend ruffling his pink hair.

"Tae, are you done with your assignment yet? Mom said we have to get ready soon. Dad and Hyung are on their way from the company, so they'll just pick us up." Namjoon explained smiling at a frowning Jimin.

The blonde knew that Jimin wanted to join them for dinner tonight, just to see who these new people were. But believe it or not, Namjoon and Taehyung were very protective of the little human.

Yeah, that's right. Jimin was human and he knew nothing about paranormals. They knew that they should tell him but they were afraid of losing him.

They've known the mochi for two years now after the brothers met him for the first time in the first year of college at the welcome ceremony. They were inseparable after that. Jimin's opinion of them were very important, so the thought of the shorter seeing them as freaks had them clamming up every time they had the chance to tell him.

Sigh...

"Yea I'm done."

Taehyung spoke, breaking Namjoon out of his depressing thoughts that he no doubt knew Taehyung was having too.

"I'm gonna get ready then."

The older got up to go back to his room but he felt a grip on the end of his t-shirt stopping his progress.

"I wanna come too!" The mochi whined making Taehyung sigh and Namjoon smile with sympathy.

"Sorry Chim."

Jimin sighed at the sincerity in the older's voice that he realized how childish he was being and it's just dinner. They could, would always tell him what went on. They would never keep secrets from him.

Right?

"Ok ok, I'll behave. But you'll definitely treat me to ice cream tomorrow. And I'll pick you guys up first thing so you an tell me what happened on our way to school. Got it?"

"Yes sir."

Both brothers said at the same time with a chuckle. They adored their mochi.

"I hope the alpha told his members about our arrival."

Taehyung sighed. He didn't want to cause any trouble for his dad and the pride but he knew how shifters were towards vampires. So definitely, without a doubt, protecting his mother and brother from any and all threats is his number priority.

"Don't worry sweetie, your brother spoke with the beta earlier today so I'm sure they are taking every precaution." Their mother said from the passenger seat of the SUV, excitement evident in her soft soothing voice that made all the men in the car smile.

Baekhyun took that as his cue to nudge the younger in the side, a smirk placed smugly on his face.

"Right little bro, I took care of everything!"

Namjoon chuckled at the glare Taehyung tossed at their older brother.

It didn't take long for the family of five to arrive at the entrance of the Silver Cresent pack lands since they were technically neighborhoods, it was roughly a ten minute drive from their home.

Upon following the entrance road up to the pack house, Taehyung could see a few wolves here and there following the vehicle, whizzing through the trees as if they were criminals being escorted.

"Why are they so jumpy?" Namjoon asked from his left watching the excitement that was going on outside.

"Not sure. I've messaged the beta saying we're coming up the driveway and what car we're in. Maybe they're just making sure it's us." Baekhyun replied from his right but Taehyung could sense that shit was going to happen soon.

Coming up to a huge clearing, the family saw the pack house in all it's three story glory, taking in the wooden structure before parking to the side of the open clearing where a few cars were.

"Father."

Ok something was definitely up. Baekhyun hardly ever called their dad 'father'.

"Honey, what's wrong?" Anyun asked her mate, worry clearly in each word. But Woojin just gave her a reassuring smile that held the undertone of a command telling her to stay in the car.

The older Kim stepped out of the car, Baekhyun following suit, going around the other side of the car where both Namjoon and Anyun sat to open the car door for them. They knew it wasn't necessary but the way the wolves were surrounding them was a cause for caution.

"What's going on?"

Taehyung asked stepping out of the car behind Namjoon who was next to their mother.

"Baekhyun, call the beta."

Once his father said that a few of the wolves tilted their heads upwards as if sniffing the air before giving off a low growl towards their little group. He also noticed a few that were in human form sporting either a frown or look of disgust or just plain anger on their faces.

Rude.

"What are filthy vampires doing on our pack lands?" One of the wolves in human form asked and by the smell of him and how he carried himself, he was just a regular member with no authority. How dare he question a King.

But Woojin just ignored him, calmingly waiting for Baekhyun to inform him of the whereabouts of the beta or alpha.

But damn was this guy persistent.

"Hey man! I asked you a question!"

Oh hell no!

The older lion snapped his gaze towards the wolf, the intense glare causing the man to flinch. And even though his wolf was screaming at him to back down and not take up this fight, his human counterpart was very stubborn and couldn't seem to sense the danger he was on.

"And who are you, to dare question me?" Woojin demanded more than asked, his voice so cold it could chill one to the bone.

Taehyung saw how a few wolves back away but a couple, whose anger towards vampires was drowning out their common sense and truly wish to die today.

No one spoke at the question asked by the King but the tension was so thick, one could literally hack through it with an axe.

As if getting the cue he needed, the very rude wolf who spoke earlier, shifted and dash towards the group. By the time the wolf was rushing towards them, Taehyung, Baekhyun and the King were already in their lion form.

Taehyung quickly shot forward, since he was one of the fastest in the pride, leaping into the air to intercept the wolf. One of his large paws connected with the side of the wolf's face. The lion felt great satisfaction when his claws teared through flesh before his over three hundred pound body slammed the grey wolf to the ground.

Taehyung instantly snapped his jaws around the wolf's neck ready to rip it out if he must.

Seeing their fellow pack member in such a predicament seemed to spur the other wolves into action but in that moment a loud menacing roar ripped through the air that had the wolves stopping in their tracks, frozen.

Now they all saw it. Anyone who dared to move an inch would be slaughtered because they now saw that they were in the presence of a King.

I know what I wanted to write but I couldn't seem to construct the words properly and it was so frustrating.
