Tiny Dancer (Little Hyunjin)

Little: Hyunjin

Caregivers: Felix and Changbin

Felix POV

No one told me that we would be practicing for eight hours today. I mean, a warning would have been nice.

Recently, after a meeting with Chan, Changbin, and Han, we decided that it would be good to add more subunit songs to our discography.

Naturally, my subunit was with the other two-thirds of Danceracha.

We had now been in the practice room for upwards of eight hours. I was hungry, tired, and agitated. We all were.

But Minho and I were nowhere near as frustrated as Hyunjin.

"Hyunjin it's okay, you did good.", Minho said.

"No, I didn't. I messed up on that part again! I have to do it over."

"You didn't mess up.", I said.

"My timing was off, my arm movement was weird, a-and I looked weird."

"Hyunjin it's okay, just breathe. You know you start stuttering when you get really mad.", Minho added.

"N-no I don't!"

Minho sat down next to his bag. Hyunjin still stood, looking at himself in the mirror.

"Guys, let's call it a day.", Minho said.

I agreed and started to stand up with my bag.

Hyunjin still stood where he was.

"Are you coming with us?", I asked.

He shook his head no and stayed staring at the mirror.

Reluctantly, I followed Minho from the room. Down the hall, I saw the studio doors open and our three producing boys come out.

"Hey guys, you just now leaving?", Chan asked.

"Yeah. Eight hours.", I said.

"Too long. You guys need rest you know. The comeback is months away.", Jisung replied.

"Where is Hyunjin?", Changbin asked.

Minho and I looked at each other.

"Staring at himself in the mirror like a sad puppy.", Minho said.

The three turned towards the practice studio. Music could be heard. The same song we had been practicing for eight whole hours, repeating itself again.

Changbin went towards the room.

Chan was about to follow him, but I stopped him.

"We got this.", I said.

"You sure? I know a determined Hyunjin can be a handful."

"A regular Hyunjin is a handful.", Jisung replied.

"I'll high-five to that.", said Minho.

I walked past them as the two high-fived before leaving with Chan.

Entering the practice room, things were already heated.

"No! I n-need to practice this!", Hyunjin yelled.

"You also need to take a break! You're hurting yourself more and more by pushing it like this.", Changbin replied.

"He's right Hyunjin, you're doing more harm than good."

He put his hands on the sides of his head and turned away from us.

"But I'm terrible! I-i can't get a simple thing r-right!"

Changbin and I stood there in shock. Terrible? Did he really think that of himself?

"I need to g-get better at this. P-please let me practice m-more."

Changbin let out a heavy sigh.

"No. Come on, we're going home."

"But Changbin-"

"Enough Hyunjin."

Hyunjin turned back around and faced us. I was concerned to see his face full of tears.

"Please..."

I walked up and hugged him. He immediately hugged me back, crying heavier into my shoulder.

Changbin added himself to the hug, embracing both of us.

"Lixie...m so tired.", Hyunjin whispered.

Both of us heard him, and could immediately tell he was little. Luckily, we're his Caregivers.

"Oh Hyunnie, it's okay. We can go home and take a rest okay?", I said.

"B-but, I no wan go. Hyunnie wan dance!"

"Do I have to carry you out of here?", Changbin asked.

Hyunjin just crossed his arms and pouted.

"That's adorable. But let's go."

Changbin lifted the little up and put him over his shoulder.

"Ahhh! No! Put Hyunnie down! Put Hyunnie down daddy!"

"Nope. Home."

"Lixie help! Help Hyunnie!"

"Sorry angel. Changbin has too much muscle to disagree with him."

We walked from the building and met the other three outside.

Chan walked up to us first.

"Why are you carrying him like that?", he asked.

"He's little and didn't want to leave.", Changbin responded.

"Oh poor baby."

Changbin turned around to let Chan see Hyunjin.

"Hi baby.", Chan said.

"Help! Daddy kidnap me!"

"The drama is strong with this one.", Minho said.

Chan laughed before opening the door to our vehicle.

Changbin put the struggling little in the far back and sat next to him. I joined and held the frustrated Hyunjin's hand.

"M legs huwrt...", he said.

"Probably because you haven't sat down in hours.", I said.

"He didn't even take a break?", Changbin asked.

"Nope."

Changbin looked at Hyunjin, who scooted closer to me.

"It's okay angel. I know big Hyunjin is really determined to perfect his dance."

Little Hyunjin nodded in agreement.

Changbin and I each held one of his hands for the entire ride home. When we reached the dorm, Changbin once again picked up Hyunjin over the shoulder and carried him inside.

Seungmin and Jeongin were watching dramas on the couch when they saw us.

"Do I want to ask what happened?", Seungmin said.

"Let's just say he's pretty stubborn.", Changbin said, putting Hyunjin down.

The littles eyes landed on Jeongin.

"Jeongie!", he yelled.

Seungmin moved over as Hyunjin waddled over and jumped on Jeongin.

"Hi cutie. Were you being a good boy today?"

Hyunjin nodded his head yes.

Was I going to correct him? No. Because even when he's stubborn, Hyunjin is always a good boy.

"Come on Jinnie, let's get you changed and then daddy and I will make your favorite food."

His eyes widened at "favorite food" and he jumped up before waddling to us.

The other members sat downstairs with Seungmin and Jeongin.

The three of us went to Hyunjin's and my room, which was covered in toys and the memories of the time Jisung invented a game called "Natural Disasters" and made him act them out.

Hyunjin stood by his bed. I helped him to get his clothes off while Changbin searched the closet for a more comfy outfit.

"You'll take a bath later.", I said.

"Why?"

"Because you need to."

"Why?"

"Because everyone needs to."

"Why?"

"To Be clean."

"Felix, for my mental health and yours, please stop responding when he asks why.", Changbin said.

He came out of the closet with a big onesie.

I helped Hyunjin into it before stepping back to look at it on him. The onesie was a purple dragon and looked absolutely adorable on little Hyunjin.

"Alright, now I need to change. You take him downstairs.", I said.

Changbin took the hand of the little once more and took him from the room.

I sat down on my bed and took a deep breath. Today was stressful, and I am so, so tired.

But what's more important is making sure Hyunjin never gets to the same point he did today, again. I'll talk to him when I get the chance.

For now, I have to change clothes and then go cook.

If this is what life will be like as an actual parent, I might like it. Maybe.
