Jisung was sitting on his bed, staring at Hyunjin.

The baby was staring back at him as well.

"So. What do you do when you're like this?"

Hyunjin smiled, biting his own hand.

"Hey hey hey, no biting the hand. It was just injured."

He moved the hand from Hyunjin's mouth.

As a result, the baby began to cry.

"Oh no! No no no baby don't cry! I'm sorry!"

Han picked him up, patting his back to calm him down.

The little now laid on top of him.

"I'm sorry baby. I just don't want you to bite your hand."

Baby Hyunjin pouted, now biting Han's shirt.

"How about a pacifier huh?"

Han sat up, holding Hyunjin.

He reached into the drawer next to the bed, grabbing a pacifiers purchased by Jeongin, that had a dumpling on it.

He gave it to Hyunjin, who happily accepted it.

Han was always in charge of Little Hyunjin, but today, it was the Littles birthday.

Downstairs, the members were setting up the party. To make sure Hyunjin didn't know, Han took him to their room.

"How about we sing a song huh?"

Hyunjin snuggled into Jisung.

"I'll take that as a yes."

Han thought about a lullaby to sing.

He remembered one Chan sang to him a few years ago when he was struggling to sleep prior to a performance day.

Maybe if the little took a nap, Han wouldn't have to worry about making him cry again. That was mostly because he knew Changbin would end him if he knew the baby cried even once.

Baby Hyunjin listened closely as Han began to sing.

"Hush now, my darling, close your eyed and sleep. Waltzing the waves, diving in the deep..."

Hyunjin looked up at him.

"...stars are shining bright, the wind is on the rise. Whispering words, of long lost lullabies."

The baby yawned, getting more comfortable.

"Oh won't you come with me, where the moon is made of gold, and in the morning sun, we'll be sailing."

The door opened, but Han didn't notice.

"Oh won't you come with me, where the ocean meets the sky, and as the cloud goes by, we'll sing the song of the sea."

Han continued to hum the melody of the song. It wasn't long before the baby drifted off to sleep.

"Have a good nap Little Dumpling."

Han heard a camera clicking.

He looked up to see Seungmin, snapping a picture.

"For the scrapbook. Baby Hyunjin's first birthday.", Seungmin whispered.

Han laid the little down, who whined a bit, but stayed sleeping.

"You're a good dad.", Seungmin said.

"Thanks. How's the set up going?"

"Changbin and Felix got lost on the way to the cake place."

"Hilarious. I'm gonna go check on them."

Han stood up, leaving the room.

He looked behind him.

On the floor was a Polaroid picture. He picked it up, looking at it.

It was the photo Seungmin just took of them.

"Thanks Seungmin...I always loved your pictures."

----------------------------------------------------------

Hyunjin woke up to an empty room.

Looking around, the baby was confused as to why no one was there. Most importantly, why wasn't Han there?

He was happy however, when the door opened, and the familiar whisper of excitement from Han was heard.

"Hi baby! You're up! Ready for your party?"

Hyunjin babbled repeatedly, dropping his pacifier.

"Cute. Let's go. The guys prepared a lot."

Han put Hyunjin on his back.

He carried the baby downstairs slowly.

When they reached the bottom, the little gasped in shock.

The room was filled with purple and red balloons.

A cake was on the table, and a stack of gifts were on the coffee table in the living room.

"Happy Birthday Hyunjin!", the members yelled.

The little laughed, putting his hands in the air.

"How about we eat first? I'm sure the baby is hungry!", Jeongin said.

Han brought Hyunjin to the table.

The baby sat in between his legs.

Jeongin and Felix went to the kitchen, grabbing all of the food items and bringing them to the table.

"What do you want to eat baby?", Han asked.

Hyunjin pointed to everything.

"Good choice baby boy."

Han started to feed the baby.

Felix and Chan fed each other because neither of them wanted to eat on their own.

Minho, Changbin, and Jeongin argued over the spicy chicken that Chan made.

The little got food all over his face, and laughed everytime Han made a face at him.

Hyunjin heard a camera flashing.

When he turned, he saw Seungmin waving at him.

Hyunjin patted Han on the shoulder.

"Yes baby?"

The little pointed to the side.

Han looked over, seeing another Polaroid on the ground.

Jeongin noticed it too, and went to pick it up.

"Good job hyung.", he whispered.

The party continued with food, and entertainment in the form of Changbin showing everyone his muscles.

After they were done eating, the members went to the living room.

Han sat Hyunjin down on the floor.

"Gift time!", Felix said.

"Are you excited baby?", Han asked.

Hyunjin babbled, reaching for the presents.

"That's a yes."

Minho went to the present tower to select one.

On top of the boxes was a box with holes at the top.

"Who bought this?", Minho asked.

"I don't know.", Chan said.

The boys were confused.

Minho placed the box down in front of Hyunjin.

The little stared at it, putting his hands on the lid and lifting it up.

When he did so, he gasped loudly again.

Han looked inside as well.

To his shock, there was a brown Labrador curled up, sleeping.

When Han picked it up, he saw it had a collar on it, and a name tag.

"Someone got a puppy?", Jeongin asked.

"It's name is Minnie."

They all looked at Han, who sadly smiled.

"The name tag says Minnie."

Hyunjin reached for the puppy. Han gave it to him, and the little kissed it on the forehead.

Chan looked into the box.

A Polaroid sat at the bottom.

He picked it up. It was a photo of the entire group that Seungmin took in selfie style.

The date on the bottom of the photo was September 22nd, 2023.

The last day they spent with him.

Chan looked at Hyunjin, and the puppy who was waking up, crawling all over him.

"I always knew you'd be back, Seungmin."
