Kure Naval Base (Kancolle):

It is quite late in the morning, and the base's resident secretary ship, Ooyodo is leading the esteemed guest - Fleet Admiral Arthur Godfrey, around her admiral base. Right now they are outside Mamiya's café (the brand is literally that, and visible on the wall), Kure's motherly cargo ship.

Mamiya: Good morning. Are you the rumored savior of Third and Fourth Torpedo Squadron?

Arthur: Looks like news spread like wildfire in this base. Or are you perhaps a intelligence gatherer?

Mamiya: A sharp one, aren't you?

Ooyodo: (Note to self: This man is not to be trifled with)

Arthur: I am well-versed in many aspects of warfare, your history included. IJN food supply ship Mamiya, launched in 1923, doubled as a special communication ship in later years, sunk in 1943. And "food supply ship" in your profile, I guess it isn't too strange why you would open a café.

Mamiya: I started to become interested in opening a café after listening to other people talking about similar things. And then everything went into ruin when that damned bald leader pushing us into war....

Arthur: History aside, can I order a vanilla frappuchino?

Mamiya: Right away.

Arthur walked to one of the seats to wait for his order. As he comes close, two Kuma-class cruisers, Kitakami and Ooi come across him.

Arthur: Good morning.

Kitakami: Good morning to you as well....Wait, you are the one who saved Third and Fourth Destroyer Squadron! Nice to meet you, sir!

Arthur: Nice too meet you too. My name is Arthur Godfrey, but you can call me Arthur. And you are....(News really spread like wildfire here.)

Kitakami: I am Kitakami, Kuma-class light cruiser, and next to me is my sister, Ooi-chi.

Ooi: You better be grateful that Kitakami-nee spent time talking with you.

Kitakami: Don't speak to our base's guest like that, Ooi-chi. I'm terribly sorry for my sister's behavior, Arthur-sama!

Arthur: What have we here....a well-mannered sister and her huge little brat.

Ooi: What did you say about me?

Arthur: I merely speak the truth.

Mamiya: One vanilla frappuchino ready.

Arthur: Here's my order. I wish we can have a conversation again, Kitakami. Can't say the same with you, Ooi. By the way.....Good frappuchino, Mamiya. I can see why the kids like this place

Mamiya: (smiles) I'm flattered.

*Arthur pays the money then leaves*

Arthur: Is there other places around here where I can have good food, Ooyodo?

Kantai Ooyodo: I know one place. *she takes him to Houshou's restaurant*

At Houshou's restaurant:

Arthur: I can already smell the fragrance of ramen emanating from the inside. Can't wait to take a bite.

He then lifts the curtains and enter the restaurant and what is happening inside is kinda...unexpected. Inside, Enterprise is trying to (and failing miserably in) socializing with Akagi, Kaga, Hiryuu and Soryuu.

Arthur: I...don't know what to say about this

Enterprise: Hi everybody, I hope we can be friends.

Kantai Akagi: Hi,.....*notices the "CV-6" insignia"* GREY GHOST!!!!!

Kantai Kaga: What, Grey Ghost? Where?*eyes caught Enterprise's flight deck." HOLY SHIT IT'S HER!

Kantai Hiryuu: Everybody bail out!

Kantai Soryuu: *Paralyzed in fear*

A few minutes later, the four of them bow and apologize to Enterprise, who reassures that she didn't mind their reaction at all, since it was just from past experiences.

Enterprise: Can you guys tell me the current situation of "CV-6 Enterprise" in this world?

Kantai Akagi: If I remember correctly, she was scrapped in 1958.

Enterprise: I guess every military has to beat its swords into plowshares.....

Kantai Kaga: Did you get scrapped?

Enterprise: No, World War 2 in my world ended in Europe when Claus von Stauffenberg successfully assasinated Hitler, and then ended in Pacific not long after that. And then we had to fight a global scale naval war.

Kantai Hiryuu: Did Hiroshima and Nagasaki in your world get wiped out by nuclear bombs?

Enterprise: Luckily, no.

Kantai Akagi: Hitler got assassinated in your world, huh......I wish Hideki Tojo also got popped a cap in his ass in his time back in the day

(The 5 of then shares a laugh)
Kantai Soryuu: Although, I wonder how do your Imperial Japan even accept to surrender, Enterprise-san?

Enterprise: After Hitler's demise reach mainland Japan, the Army tried to cover the information in vain. The Japanese already aren't having none of the propaganda from their government, and that is the last straw. Emperor Hirohito exploited this to force the Japanese government to surrender.

Kantai Akagi: What happened to Tojo afterwards?

Enterprise: Death sentence. Baldy's gonna had his ass popped a cap sooner or later.

Somewhere at the normal dockyard, Kantai Fubuki is seen. She is looking at other destroyers and cruisers from afar.:
Kantai Fubuki: (accidentally muttering her thoughts out loud) Can I ever be as good as my seniors?

From behind Kantai Fubuki, appears Essex, who parachuted from above and spook the hell out of Fubuki:

Kantai Fubuki: (hearing someone landing) Who's there? Are you an Abyssal?

Essex: Put your guns down, shipgirl (Essex said "KAN-SEN" in this case) . I'm not a hostile!

Kantai Fubuki: KAN-SEN? I'm a Kanmusu, not a KAN-SEN. Hold on, if you say "KAN-SEN", that means you must be one of the non-native shipgirls. Who are you, then?

Essex: (proudly) I'm USS Essex, hull number CV-9, lead ship of the Essex-class aircraft carrier. I've just arrived here, as you can see from my parachute.

Kantai Fubuki: You fly here instead of sailing?

Essex: Yes! To be more detailed, I carrier-hopped here. It's like island-hopping, though the islands are replaced by a repeatedly summoned and de-summoned aircraft carrier to launch aircraft.

Kantai Fubuki: Are you a part of the recently-arrived KAN-SEN fleet?

Essex: I'm part of the rear battlegroup of the fleet. They will be arriving here later in the day. What's your name?

Kantai Fubuki: I'm Fubuki....

Essex: .......I think you just accidentally speak your inner thoughts out loud, Fubuki. I heard in when I'm about to land. Something about "Can I ever be as good as my seniors?", if I heard right.

Kantai Fubuki: Wait, really?

Essex: I can say we are quite alike in that regard.

Kantai Fubuki: You have a senior to look upon as well?

Essex: It's rather shameful, but I used to admire miss Enterprise to the point that I would try to do anything to get a praise from her, and it even gets to the point of borderline obsession. Hearing the masses praising her and sing her name while I was seldom mentioned caused me to develop an inferiority complex.

Kantai Fubuki: Oh......

Essex: But with encouragement from my sisters and the veterans who used to serve on our decks, I regained confidence in myself over a period of 5 years.

Kantai Fubuki: I'm glad that you have people to help you overcome your insecurities.

Essex: So, remember this. It is good to have a senior figure to look up to, but be aware that you have an identity of yourself too. Don't let that admiration affect your own confidence.

Kantai Fubuki: But unlike you, I don't have many achievements to be confident and proud of myself......

Essex: You are once the destroyer that set the standard for all destroyers after herself. If that is not a big thing to be proud of, I don't know what is.

A/N: WHO LIKES SERIOUS ESSEX?

Essex: Is there anyone whom you happen to admire, Fubuki?

Kantai Fubuki: Well, if I have to choose one, then it would be Kongou! She's so amazing! She kept holding the line even though we would all be destroyed if not for your allies' help! I think she's very cool!

(A/n: Fubuki, this couldn't be further from the troops)

Essex: Fubuki. Word of the wise: The Navy houses lots of wierdos, and there is no guarantee that combat proficient battleships are immune to wackiness. I speak from experience.

Kantai: Oh....I will remember this

Early in the afternoon, Azur Lane's 1st Expeditionary Fleet rear battlegroup arrived at Kure.

Rear Battlegroup vessels:
Albacore
Surcouf
Shimakaze
Hammann
Friedrich der Grosse
Yamamoto (A-150 Satsuma)
Essex - Already arrived

Upon arrival, they start to scatter around to interact with the kanmusu

At Houshou's house, the materal carrier is fanning Shimakaze with the latter sleeping on her lap, Friedrich der Grosse walked by. The two mothers become friends at the end of the day

(A/n: Don't know if I should let Seaport Princess join the gang)

Yamamoto is strolling around the Naval Base of Kure randomly. Upon coming across the equipment area for the kanmusu, he walked past several fairies who are running back and forth to do routine maintenance on parts. However, one of them catches his eyes. Someone familiar. The face and the stature may be different, but he can still recognizes who the fairy is. He picks up the fairy by his left hand, and looks at it. The fairy then looks back at him, both sides recognizing each other.

Yamamoto: Nagumo?

The fairy, who is, or maybe was, actually Chuichi Nagumo, questions back, surprise evident on his tone:
".......Fleet Admiral Yamamoto??"

Yamamoto/Nagumo: You were given a second chance in life as well?

A few minutes later, both of them are seen inside an udon shop.

Nagumo: I never expected the Fleet Admiral to be ressurected with a younger look, and a shipman (KAN-SEN) no less! Even if you are not the Yamamoto of this world, that doesn't make me any less amazed.

Yamamoto: (eating udon) I never expected that until the moment I was given the offer, and I certainly didn't expect Admiral Nagumo to return to life as well, even if you weren't the Nagumo I used to work with.

Fairy Nagumo: I didn't expect to be alive again as well. I fought for the wrong side during the Pacific War, and I thought I would be condemned in hell for it. Instead, I am here, given a second life to atone for choosing the wrong side of the war.

Yamamoto: (hesitantly)......Have the carriers forgiven you for.....Midway?

Fairy Nagumo: They were very antagonistic towards me at first, since it was me who inadvertently contributed to their demise. But when they heard of the dilemma I had face before the fateful moment, they became much more understanding. However I still got redirected to work with the battleships. If only the you that I was familiar with is here as well. The carriers would have likes him. He was more sensible than any of us in the navy, but fate didn't favor him.

Yamamoto smiles bitterly:
"I think he would have blamed his inability to persuade the government and the military to think rationally for the vessels demise......Just like what I used to feel. Hundreds of thousands, maybe millions, men lost in a fruitless endeavor to fulfill the delusions of the generals and the Prime Minister. And I was the one who force the US military to retaliate"

Fairy Nagumo: Have the battleships on Pearl Harbor that day forgiven you.

Yamamoto: They have. They know the attack was a decision I was forced to enact regarding the circumstances. But the bloody memories cannot be forgotten.

Below the depths of the oceans were the Abyssals' domain, where they gather up, planning raids, attacks and ambushes. Right now, Light Cruiser Demon and Aircraft Carrier Demon, who are still recovering from battle damaged, is talking with Battleship War Demon and Airfield Princess.

Battleship War Demon: You are saying that there are new shipgirls with vastly superior qualities?

Light Cruiser Demon: We were almost on the verge, then suddenly they pounced on us, wrecked everything and jeopardize the entire operation.

Battleship War Demon: Interesting.....

Aircraft Carrier Demon: Not to mention they have jets which carriers strange ordnance I have ever seen before. Their jets are much faster and heavily armed than the jets that either any of the countries have fielded back in WW2.

Airfield Princess: I have never taken jet aircrafts on during fights. I want to fight them, as soon as possible!

Battleship War Demon: I would like to enjoy a good old fistfight with their battleships as well.

Light Cruiser Demon: Don't take them light, remember that.

Airfield Princess: We'll be cautious if we ever encounter this new foe.
