You're Back

When the cloud of dust clears, I'm standing in the garden again next to the fountain I came out of.

"Now, go back to the other guys and see what they want," the fairy says, "You probably won't be seeing the other one for a pretty long time."

"Okay," I say.

I walk back towards where we first showed up. I wonder what will happen to Ariel when that fairy sends her to hell. She'll probably love it. I wonder what Damien wanted to talk to her about. He's probably not going to like that she's in hell now. At least I wasn't the one to do it. That would really make him mad.

I get closer to the podium and see Aaron and Damien talking in front of a new building. It looks like a small office building that's lined with large windows on one side and a painted sunset on another. I can't see the other sides from where I'm standing.

Where did that come from?

"Hey," I say walking up to them, "Where did this building come from?"

"We're thinking about making ourselves a nice office building to work in," Aaron says, "What do you think of it so far?"

"It looks nice, I hope you like working in it."

"Where is Ariel?" Damien asks.

"Well, I found her, but I couldn't get her to come back with me. She made another world and was hiding in it. We got spotted by one of the people in it and had to get out of there before the person came back. She's still down there and a fairy said that she might be going to hell pretty soon."

"You're kidding, right?" Damien says.

"No, the fairy said she's going to be working for hell soon and wants to send Ariel down there."

"Fantastic."

"Right," Aaron says, "I guess we'll have to have that talk with Satan sooner than we thought. Good to know."

"No, let's wait a few days," Damien says, "Maybe she'll be a bit more cooperative after she's spent a few days in hell."

"Sir, is this really about her listening more, or are you just trying to put off talking to Satan?" Aaron asks.

"It's about getting her to listen," Damien says.

"Okay, whatever you say sir."

"So, um," I say, "Do you guys need me for anything else then?"

"No, no," Damien sighs, "You can go."

"Okay."

I walk away a fair distance and sit down on a bench. Michelle runs up to me barking like crazy. She sits at my feet and I pet her. She quiets down a little bit.

"Do you wanna go play girl?" I say.

She barks happily. I guess that's a yes.
