"Should I really go?" I stood in front of Dick, we were outside the Blüdhaven Zeta Tube entrance. He was getting ready to put a mask on my face. "After what I did?"
"You aren't the reason behind the attack" Dick lined the mask up with my eyes. "Wintergreen and Slade carry the blame. It isn't your fault they tricked you" he pressed down gently, ensuring that the mask would stick. "And I'd really like you to be there"
We were wearing formal attire, ready to memorialize the fallen heroes. The League wanted the holograms to be perfect and they were finally done.
"Okay" I replied softly, reaching down to grab his hand. "I miss them too"
Dick tugged back the old phone booth's door, pulling me inside with him.
"I feel like these aren't meant for two" the fit was tight as it always was, but we both managed.
"They aren't" Dick sent me a cheeky grin before putting his code in. "We're usually running from something when we use the zeta tubes"
"True"
"Ready?" .
"Shouldn't I be asking you that question?"
"Nice deflection Princess" Dick pushed a button and the zeta tube's white light flooded the booth, wrapping us in what felt like a warm blanket.

Being in the mountain again brought back some unwelcome memories, that day over a month and a half ago kept replaying itself in my mind, Father's voice echoing through it.
My hand tightened in Dick's as we made our way toward the memorial garden, well, the one on earth, the other was in the watchtower.
The entire league was present, even Megan and Conner, who'd been living with their mentors since the incident.
It wasn't safe here anymore.
"Thank you all for coming here today" Superman called everyone's attention toward where he stood beside the four newest holograms. "I know how hard it was to come, but we thought it only right that they stand with us again. What happened a month ago was a tragedy, we lost friends and family." He paused to blink away his tears. "I remember when Kid Flash first came to the watch tower, practically bouncing off the walls because Robin thought it would be funny to feed him enough sugar to kill a horse"
There were a few wet chuckles as Green Arrow stepped up. "Artemis had a soft heart, of course I didn't know that when I first met her. She tried to stab me in the knee." he cleared his throat. "But as I got to know her, I saw what a bright soul she was, she loved being a hero and she loved the family she found here."
I wrapped an arm around Dick, dropping his hand in favor of hugging him. He set his chin on my head and I could hear him quietly crying.
"Black Canary was my mentor when I was brought here. She taught me how to channel my anger, how to use it to stay alive. She listened to me when I thought no one else would" Conner spoke quietly, almost too quiet and he wouldn't have been heard if the room hadn't been dead silent.
"Aqualad-" Dick managed.
"No" Barry was held back as he pointed accusingly at Dick, dark grief swimming in his eyes. "You don't get to memorialize them, not when you and her brought that guy here, I saw the security footage! You're the reason they're all dead. It's your fault Wally's in a grave!"
"Flash" Batman stepped between us, practically growling the words out. "That's enough."
Superman set a hand on his shoulder. "Now isn't the time, not when he's grieving"
"I strongly advise you take a step away from me Superman" Batman warned.
Dick shifted to block my view, turning his back on the heroes. "Why don't we take a walk" He whispered. "This could escalate and I'd rather not have you in a room full of angry supers"
"I'll come with you" Megan was holding hands with Conner, glancing worriedly at the arguing adults.
"Let's go" I pulled Dick behind me as the four of us ducked past the remaining League members.
Soon we found ourselves in the kitchen, it was still torn up, obviously a battleground that hadn't been touched yet.
"I've never seen Bats so mad" I leaned against the counter. "He looked like he was ready to stab Superman"
"Oh, that's like level five anger, he'd go to a seven if we weren't at a funeral" Dick stood next to me, facing the two survivors, he stared at his feet. "I really miss him"
I let my head fall to his shoulder, wrapping my arms around his. "Wally was your best friend"
"Was what Mister Allen said true?" Megan hugged her waist, stepping closer to Conner.
Dick stiffened beside me. "You saw Keeper and I bring that psychopath in our mountain, into our home."
He didn't deny it.
Megan's eyes welled with tears. "Did you do it on purpose?"
"Come on Megan, do you really think I wanted this to happen? Any of it? That I wanted half my friends to be brutally murdered along with a woman I viewed to be my aunt?!"
"I can't read your mind Nightwing, you refuse to let me in!" Megan shouted back. "How can we be sure we can even trust you!?"
Dick looked away, his jaw clenched as he tried to control his breathing. "I've saved your life and Conner's life on dozens of missions. I pulled Conner out of Cadmus, I even helped found this damn team. You can't trust me? Fine. We're leaving." He offered me his hand, giving the couple a wide berth.
"Keep your secrets Nightwing!" Megan called after us angrily as we made our way toward the Zeta Tubes. "I hope they're the death of you!"
Dick was too upset to respond, instead taking his anger out on the keypad. He tapped out our next destination aggressively. I reached out as soon as he way done, grabbing both his hands and cradling them. "I'm sorry today was so horrible"
"I really just want to get out of here as fast as possible" he sighed tiredly.
"Well, your wish is my command because our Zeta Tube is ready" I offered him a smile that I'm pleased to say was genuinely returned.
We walked toward the Zeta beam together, just like everything else we've done for the past three years.
