Chapter Six: Appearances, Appearances.

CHAPTER WARNING: Brief mentions of child abuse

"This just in! Number 1 Hero Endeavors son Shoto Todoroki has been reported missing. Shoto's phone was left at the UA dorms, and various articles of clothing are missing from his closet. When his classmates came back to the dorms, they found him missing. His father claims to have seen him that morning, but he had no further comment. Is this just a simple runaway case, or is there more to the story? We'll keep the story updated as we go along."

Every member of the league stared at the laptop screen in silence.

"Well," Touya started. "That didn't take long."

Shoto furrowed his brows. "Aren't you only supposed to report someone missing if they've been gone for 48 hours? It's barley been 12."

Toga shrugged.

"I think this was a special case, seeing as you're a Hero's kid."

In a second of silence, Toga gasped.

"You know what this means, Shoto?!"

Shoto gave her a look of confusion.

"What?"

"Newly Appointed Villain Makeover! Come on!"

Before he had time to protest, was being pulled by the hand and out of the room.

Distantly, he heard Touya snickering.

"Kids not gonna last long if he has to put up with Toga for a makeover."

'Just kill me now.' Shoto thought.

~~~
"Okay! So, everybody in the league is atleast somewhat edgy, it's basically a requirement, so we've gotta find something fitting in all these boring clothes you have." Toga rambled as she practically threw his clothes on the ground.
Shoto stared at her incredulously.
"Is that really a requirement?"
She blinked at him before grinning like a mad woman.
"Absolutely. Have you seen your brother? He's like a walking Hot Topic store."
Shoto hummed noncommittally, watching as Toga pulled out his black turtle neck and a pair of dark grey jeans.
"This'll do!" She turned to him, holding out the clothes. "Change into these!"
He took them tentatively, looking around.
"Is there a bathroom I can use or-"
Toga waved him off.
"Just change in here! Here, I'll even turn around!"
And, just as she said, she turned around and went into a corner, away from him.
Shoto hesitated, keeping a watchful eye on her as he slowly lifted the hem of his shirt. He was aware on her rather uncomfortable obsession with Midoriya, and the thought of her peeking on himself made Shoto feel rather unpleasant.
Deciding he'd just keep a close watch of Toga, Shoto completely removed his shirt, while not tearing his gaze away.
Once he finished getting dressed in the new clothes, he neatly folded up his old ones and put them into the duffel bag, as well as the other clothes that had been tossed around.
"I'm done." He said simply, keeping a wary eye as Toga swirled around and met him with a large grin.
"Looks great! Now, when's the last time you cut your hair?"
Shoto rose a quizzical brow.
"Um, I've had the same style since I was born, practically. Endeavor didn't let me cut it besides the occasional trim."
Toga hummed in thought.
"Well, guess we're gonna change that! Lemme go get my scissors!" And then she bolted out of the room.
Shoto stood in silence, looking around the room absentmindedly.
A week ago, he never thought he'd be here, in the League of Villains hideout willingly. A week ago, he hadn't even considered villainy as an option for himself. A week ago, he was hanging out with his friends with no idea his brother was alive, still Endeavors puppet.
What would Midoriya think of him? Was he worried?
No. Shoto wouldn't regret this. No matter what he thought of his friends, they wouldn't hold him back from finally getting rid of his father once and for all.
Shoto brought his hand up to trace along the fresh burns on the right side of his face and arm.
Endeavor would pay, and nothing would stop him from making that happen.
A few minutes later, Toga came back with a pair of scissors and an electric razor.
Shoto eyed her skeptically.
"Do you even know how to cut hair?" He asked.
Toga grinned that wide smile of hers. It was almost unsettling.
"I do! Now, let's chop off this mop!"
~~~

Dabi leaned against a wall, trying to seem nonchalant, but he was internally anxious.

He trusted Toga,more than he probably should, but he didn't trust her with his brother, seeing as the girl was notorious for getting obsessive, and Shoto wasn't a bad looking guy. So, yeah, Dabi was a bit worried for his brothers safety.

It had been about thirty minutes since Toga had come into the room looking for scissors and a razor, and it was needless to say that Dabi was even more worried.

It seemed that everyone else was just as wary for the youngest members safety from the blonde girl, as Compress was in a corner twirling a marble between his fingers in a way that Dabi recognized as him being worried.

It seemed like a lifetime before Toga bounded in once again with a wide, manic smile on her face.

"Drumroll please!"

No one drumrolled.

She pouted before she smiled again.

"Let me introduce to you the new and Villain improved Shoto Todoroki!"

She reached out the doorway and practically dragged Shoto in.

And what Dabi saw shocked him.

His brother was dressed head to toe in dark clothes, his legs covered in a pair of dark grey jeans, a black turtleneck rolled up to the elbows, showing off the healing burns on his skin, and he was wearing a pair of black dress shoes.

His hair was especially shocking.

Toga had kept it relatively the same, but now a few strands were tucked behind his ears, showing off his new undercut.

"Well? What do we all think?" Toga asked with a teasing lilt to her voice.

"Now there's two of them." Shigaraki grumbled, looking between Dabi and Shoto.

"I think he looks adorable! He looked better when he was boring."

The others had positive reactions.

Well, Spinners kept his opinion more neutral.

Dabi met Shoto's gaze, which seemed to be a bit anxious.

He sent his brother what he hoped was a comforting smile -he was out of practice in that department.

"Looks great, kid."

Shoto's mouth twitched up the slightest bit as he nodded in thanks.

"Oh!" Toga interrupted the small bonding moment between them. "Dabi, can I borrow your eyeliner?"

Shoto eyed Dabi at the mention of eyeliner, and if his face wasn't covered in scars, he's sure his flushed cheeks would've been visible to the whole room to show his embarrassment.

Dabi glared at Toga as he pulled the half empty liquid liner pencil out of a pocket in his coat and tossed it at her.

She caught it with ease and turned to Shoto, gesturing for him to face her.

the shorter girl applied the eyeliner to his brothers face a bit messily, smudging it with her finger as she went.

Dabi internally judged the process. Not because his little brother was wearing eyeliner -all the power to the kid, he wasn't one to disgrace for self expression- , but because it was Toga doing it and not him.

This was supposed to be his thing, helping his younger sibling figuring out himself, separate his identity from Endeavor.

Dabi clutched the fabric of his coat tightly around his biceps and looked away.

He wanted to be a good brother to Shoto, but maybe that just came with time.

Besides, he had plenty of time now to make up for.

"There, done!" Toga finally chirped, tossing the eyeliner pen back to Dabi who caught it and stuck it back in his pocket.

"Guys, you might all want to see this." Spinner rasped from the other side of the room.

Everyone gathered and hovered around the lizard man who was seated on the floor in front of the now open laptop, where a paused video of Endeavor's face was on screen.

Dabi felt Shoto tense beside him, making him place a comforting hand on his brothers shoulder.

Spinner unpaused the video when everyone was around.

"While no new updates have come from missing child Shoto Todoroki, his father Endeavor has finally agreed to speak with us. Well, sir? What do you have to say about your son's' disappearance?"

The news woman shifted her microphone to Endeavors face.

"All I have to say, ma'am, is that whoever took my son from me will pay. Shoto isn't the type of boy to run from home, so this must be the work of some Villain."

He at looked the camera directly, his gaze unwavering.

"Whoever you are, it doesn't matter who, but if you've hurt my son, I will find you, and I will bring you to justice. Shoto will be returned to me, or there will be hell to pay."

The video ended at that.

Dabi looked to face Shoto, and his eyes widened at what he saw.

Shoto's normally neutral face was overshadowed by a dark look, a scowl curling at his top lip as he glared at the laptop.

"Shoto?" Dabi questioned.

Shoto was seething, breathing heavily through his nose.

"That bastard doesn't get to worry about me and demand me back after all he's done, not when I've finally gotten away."

Shoto took a deep, labored breath, closing his eyes.

"He will pay for what he's done, for all of it. I'll make sure of that. I'll even kill the monster myself if I have to."

This chapter did not want to write itself istg!

This was mainly just a transition chapter, as well as a starer to building Shoto's relationships with each of the LoV members slowly, and this one obviously started out with Toga.

For anyone wondering, Yes, I'll probably make this a TodoDeku thing, but it'll be mostly in the background, as I want to focus on Touya and Shoto's relationship more.

But, for those that read the description, DabiHawks is going to be much more apparent than the TodoDeku because I love it and I'm gonna make it healthy in any way I can.

Edit: completely forgot this, but here's a picture I drew of Villain Shoto:

Quality is shit because I don't have the original anymore and I had to get it from a DM I sent my friend on insta
