Happy reading! Thanks for choosing my book!♥️

Oh, he's cute.

Oh, he's okay, I guess.

Oh, poor guy.

Oh, just oh.

"Seriously Yiren! Get a boyfriend!" My sister grumbles, dropping me off at school.

"And why do you care?" I narrow my eyes at her. She rolls her eyes and stares outside the car window.

We were staring at different types of guys - correction: gawking.

"Because - you have no life. You're always watching Netflix, eating junk or either talking to imaginary friends. You're weird." She states, matter of factly.

I cross my arms. It's not my fault - I don't like most of the teens my age and I'm very introverted. I just have my preferences okay? On a Friday night I'd rather drool over KJ Apa's abs then go outside, to where danger lurks.

"Being weird is okay. It's better than being Ordinary. It's fine. Alright?" I snap.

She throws her arms up in surrender. "Okay! Okay! I understand whatever keeps you sleeping at night."

"Actually my Nutella does. So make sure mom buys some from Greeks. Kay?" I smile sheepishly at her.

"Alright. But leave my car and head to your classes now." She sighs, scrolling through her phone.

I nod.

My sister is alright. That's pretty much all. Angel is a popular girl, she hangs around with the populars, but she pretty much isn't that popular. She has her own friends and is nice, she really isn't like those fake bitches who cry about a different guy every day. Instead, Angel is a princess in my eyes- like a sister I admire.

I leave her car, slamming the door shut and waiting for her to stroll away and join the line for a parking space. In the corner of my eyes, I spot my two best friends, Alec and Macy. I wave over to them, before I get honked by a car.

Bowing a small "sorry" I roll my eyes at my dumb self and dash over with my skinny long legs, towards the pair.

"Hey!" Macy hugs me tightly, her strawberry mint perfume smelt so good each and every time I met her, I couldn't help but inhale it, before pulling away from the hug. "How have you been?"

"Summer was so bad. I missed school if I'm honest, dealing with Grandma was the worst." I pout.

Alec who was standing beside Macy chuckled, his chuckle sounded so deep and sensual, each and every time he would laugh, talk or even just be himself I would feel some type of way. But I've learned to keep those feelings mutual. Just mutual, Yiren.

Macy's strawberry blonde hair, looked so ravishing, her curls went up to her chest. Her autumn sweater was like mint as well and her blue ocean eyes matched. Her porcelain pale skin even made her look like a doll. She was about 5"6 but still a very beautiful girl.

I practically remember every guy asking me for her number. She had this type of affect on people. She just knew what she wanted and always got it. But she told me, she's waiting for the one guy to show up- and have her happily ever after.

Alec, on the other hand, was a tall brunette. He had straight long hair and tan skin. His jawline was the most striking thing ever. How could a human be so drop-dead gorgeous? He even had iconic Jersey on. He looked so manly since the last time I saw him. Even staring into his brown eyes made me melt like chocolate on a sunday evening.

"I'm sure your grandma wasn't that bad!" Macy chortled, standing in the middle of me and Alec, we all linked arms and strolled into school. "I mean- my parents got divorced, haha."

Alec and I gave an incredulous look at Macy.

"W- what?" She hummed nervously, pulling some strands from her face as she stepped in front of us both, placing her hands on his and watching us with a raised eyebrow.

"Macy why is it funny?" Alec gave her a frown, probably because he didn't have his dad. He passed away from Alec and his mom back in '18.

Macy giggled. An emotion flashed through her eyes before she replaced it with a sheepish smile. "Because it's for the better. Now let's go! I heard there's some transfer students!" She strolled away.

Alec and I shared a look. I said: "Do you think something bad happened at home, Al?" He shook his head, linking his arms with me.

"No, I doubt it. But if it is, I'm sure she'll let us know." Is all he said. We walked to the administration office and got our timetables. Alec and I split us before I regained speed with Macy.

"So, school huh?" I awkwardly said.

"If you're gonna be awkward, then at least, warn me." Macy chuckled, pulling us both into a new classroom, which has probably been renovated or something.

"Of course."

***

"Why is this so hard to read?" I groan, reading the textbook in my hand. It was last lesson and Alec and I both had Chemistry. Not that we had chemistry in that way.

"Maybe because it's upside down?" Alec shifted his gaze towards me, pulling the book out my grasp and then holding it the right side up. I looked at him with a gasp.

"Oh."

"Seriously? You're not even paying attention are you?" His chocolate eyes hummed at me and I could only form a thin line on my mouth, turning my gaze away from him. "What's up, Yiren?"

"Nothing, I'm just-"

I failed and my phone fell in his grips, he stared at me with a bewildered expression. He raised an eyebrow up at me. "You were playing mario kart in class, this whole time?"

"Um... yeah?"

"I can't believe you. And for once I thought my teaching skills were paying off!" He moaned. I couldn't help but just smile.

"Your teaching is horrendous sorry bud."

The last lesson of the first day back went smoothly. Alec and I were still bickering about his teaching- which yes, still sucks.

We walked down the halls and then we noticed a group of guys walking down the corridor. Alec was mumbling random words about a football match he watched last night and all of a sudden my eyes landed on a pair of beautiful ocean eyes.

He had luscious beautiful blond hair, beautiful pink plump lips and a beautiful facial structure. Especially that jawline.

He seemed rich with all that fashion designer clothes he wore. But my favorite accessory was his perfect set of white teeth which grinned in a millionaire smile. He mopped up so nice it's like he owned the place.

Beside him was two other guys.

One had scruffy red hair. He had a scar on his right cheek- which frightened me. He had brown chocolate eyes and a moustache which was trimmed well. His facial featured weren't as bony and intimidating as the other guy- but he seemed okay.

He had a checkered short with some black chinos. It wasn't like the first guy who was expensive but it was well enough for high school.

Finally my eyes landed on the other guy. Blank.

I thought the first guy was intimidating but when I saw him. His facial features were-godly- beyond out of this world.
I was gaping mouth open like a fish at him. Heck, even my heart rate increased.

The third guy was like a model. He owned, thrived and begun this whole walk. He didn't seem too expensive because he just had a Rolex and dark leather coat.

His clothes weren't the only bad boy screaming look. It was his face. I couldn't describe that beautiful face.

His jawline could cut through glass. So sharp. His eyes glazing through everything he seemed to be observing. The colour of ocean green struck me- or just popped out of his already olive tan skin. Skin inked with writings and drawings- tattoos. Then his dark hair- like a dark forest with secrets. He had scruffy curls which fell on-top of his head.

Oh my...

The three guys stalked off away and I couldn't contain my excitement. They must be the transfers Macy was on about. Well they were sure hot.

"Hey- so did you understand anything- of what I just said?" Alec asked, annoyed.

I stared at him with a confused expression. But my eyes softened when I saw the dark hair guy walk past us.

Alec and noticed and he sighed. "So I see..."

"Uh- see what??"

Alec laughed. He chucked his head back gently and his eyes glistened.

"You've fallen for my step-brother." His tone held a hint of something- and his something seemed devastated for a reason.

"Oh- no I was just looking at the new people-"

"-yeah sure, sure." He teased. "If Macy did it, I'm sure you would fangirl too. It's totally fine, Yiren."
Alec said, clasping his arm within mine. We walked down the hallways and we remained silent for a while.

"Okay I was. But I was just curious. That's all, nothing else." I explained.

"Okay." He still didn't seem convinced.

"Wait- he's your step-brother?" A smirk pulled at my lips.

"Yiren- no-"

And that's when operation: make mr bad boy fall in love with me- commenced. Unsuccessfully.
