For years, HYDRA had attempted to create the next Winter Soldier. It was only when they combined the cells of the brainwashed James Buchanan Barnes and a lethal Red Room assassin, Natalia Alianovna Romanoff, that they began to show some progress.

They raised her to be a ruthless killing machine, unafraid to back down. She knew how to blend in, what to observe, and when it was the right time to strike. Beyond that, 017 was just a number. She had no identity, no family, and little understanding of being a real kid.

But then the corrupt organisation falls in one fell swoop, and everything 017 knows is tossed aside for the chance to live an average life. If only Peter Parker didn't make her situation more difficult.

AHHHHH!!! I've been waiting years to write a Peter Parker fanfic and I'm so excited to finally release one. It took me a while to settle on an idea, but I finally got there.

In the very early stages, this was going to be an Anastasia AU based on the animated film and the musical. It didn't get very far, but I loved the name Anastasia anyway and wanted to keep it. Another thing, originally this was going to begin with Age of Ultron, but I decided against it, so we're starting with Civil War instead. It just would have been too convoluted and wouldn't have introduced Peter until the middle of the fic.

Also, just in general, I love Sadie Sink. I just can't see anyone else as Anastasia. Another thing, she's not going to be referred by her name until later, but I can't say why because then I'll spoil it.

I'm still figuring out outlines and such, but hopefully the prologue will be out soon. Thank you so much for checking out this fic. If you could leave a vote or a comment then that would be fantastic because your support means chapters will be released faster (or at least until I think they're ready).
