Chapter 8

Chapter 8

-5 days later-

Alice's POV

It has been five days and we are awaiting the arrival of the Red Moon pack. I learned that I have the power to change my appearance. I warned my pack ahead of time, showing them the disguise I would be using. Now, we just have to wait. Let me describe my disguise to you to pass time.

I will have brown hair with silver highlights instead of my normal silver-colored hair. My wolf will be slightly larger than a normal wolf, which is about 4ft. My wolf will also be a brown color with silver on the tips of the ears and tail. My eyes are going to be hazel and I'm going to have to restrain from using my powers. So far, I have control over the elements, I can change my appearance, I can turn invisible and people around me too, and I can read people's minds, though I try not to use it at all since I respect people's privacy. This is the first time I've had to change my appearance.

I just finished adding the last change when I heard one of the wolves on patrol, Michael, call through the pack mind link

'They're here'

Time to put on my acting skills. I can't wait to see the look on their faces when I reveal my true identity. Hopefully, I don't come across any problems. Who knew that I, and innocent little girl, could be so "evil" as Star and Andrew say. I chuckled under my breath. They won't know what hit them.

William's POV

The whole pack was coming with us. We couldn't risk leaving anyone behind. The rouges were threatening everyone so we couldn't leave any member of the pack behind. I was in the lead car, driving towards the territory of the Lunar Nightstar pack. Alex sat in the passenger seat, glaring outside and often growled when I asked him a question. The whole car was ruled by a tense silence. We spilt up the pack in three groups. I wasn't worried that anyone would get lost. Everyone knew were the Lunar Nightstar pack territory was. It was almost impossible to not know of them. Their territory has expanded so much that it is neighboring 20 packs. Each year, the pack alpha would offer a few struggling packs to join their pack, which sometimes caused breaks between the territory. When those breaks happen, the Alpha and Betas travel to the pack that is separating the lands and offer to combine lands. If they reject, which is close to never, the Lunar Nightstar pack just gives up the land to a pack that is neighbors with that piece of land.

As we drove onto the territory, a gray wolf glanced at us before it walked away. I could've sworn that he had a glint in his eye; one that said "You will pay." I shook it off and focused on the path once more. The 14 cars behind me slowed down, but were still fast enough to keep up with my car.

We soon arrived at the pack house. It looked like 100 mansions put together. It wasn't surprising because of the large numbers this building was supposed to house. Each room had to be larger than a certain size, depending on your age. You can't blame us though, werewolves need their space.

Two more groups of cars that carried the rest of my pack arrived not long after we stopped staring at the mansion. I let the other wolves admire the house before I told them to go park the cars. We all parked in a straight line, one right next to another. Good thing that their parking lot has way over 1000 parking spaces. We werewolves always get the expensive cars. The car space is larger than a normal cars space because as I said, we need our space, even with cars.

Anyways, the beta, I assumed, walked out of the front doors with his mate under his arms.

'That should be Alice and us...' My wolf spoke for the first time in three years, making me jump slightly. Why was he speaking now? We've seen many couples walk past us, but he never spoke up.

The two seemed reluctant to come welcome us, but the continued forwards anyways and greeted us with kind smiles.

"Welcome to the Lunar Nightstar pack. We were awaiting your arrival. Do any of you need help carrying your bags?" We all shook our heads and the male picked up where the female left off. "We will show you to your room in a few minutes. I am Beta Andrew and this is my mate, Star. A pack meeting will be held tonight, to introduce you guys to our pack. Our alpha will be there too. She was not able to meet you first because she has some duties to tend to. Now if you'll follow us, we will show you to your rooms."

Turns out, they had a completely separate mansion, about 10 mansions together, made just for visiting packs. As we were walking, I looked around the territory I could see. They had these mansions scattered around the place, all for visiting packs. In the center of all the mansions was the Lunar Nightstar pack mansion. It was definitely larger, about 100 times the neighboring mansions. I looked at all of the 'houses'. Each one was the size of the mansion we had back at our own territory. The only large difference was that there were about 30 of these neighboring pack houses. Every mansion had its own theme. Some had fire designs all over it. Some had flower petals over the areas. They seemed to have the same area, but the mansions were all built differently.

We stopped in front of a mansion that looked exactly like the mansion back at the old territory. Two identical "houses" were set side by side. "We took a look at your mansion before you moved here. All these houses surrounding the main one are different pack mansions. Although most live in the main one, the packs that have joined us over the last few years live in those mansions over there. Each territory was allowed to make their mansion as they pleased. This is yours. Any remodeling can be done, on your house only though. If we learn that anyone has destroyed any property that isn't allowed, the punishments will be severe. Remember, they pack meeting is at 7 o'clock." Star announced.

The ones that used to live in the pack house automatically went into their rooms. Surprisingly, even the inside was the same. The furniture was in the same place and the bedrooms were in the same place too. All others walked into the other house and went to choose their rooms.

"Thank you for accepting our call for help. It is greatly appreciated." I thanked them once again. Andrew and Star smiled slightly and nodded. Then, they turned and walked back to the main pack house. They knew something that I didn't and they weren't keen on sharing.

Some pack children ran back and forth between the main house and ours. They chatted with the children of my pack and the older ones watched the younger kids like they were related by blood. A couple times, when the kids were talking to adults, I would hear them stumble on the Alpha's name. They would start to say the actual name, but they would then slap their tiny hands on the mouths and change to 'Alpha'. When that happened, the oldest kids, which were about 16, would have widened eyes and give a warning look to the child. What was going on?

Soon, the meeting was upon us and my pack scurried into the meeting room. How do both packs fit in there and still have enough space for werewolves to be still? I have no idea. The alpha, betas, third in commands, and the warrior trainers of the Lunar Nightstar pack stood on the stage. The alpha was a female. She had long brown hair and hazel eyes. She had an hourglass figure, much like Alice's. The beta male and female stood next to her eyeing the possible troublemakers of my pack. The third in commands just stood by the betas and acted like guards. The warrior trainers looked at all my pack members, as if grouping them by skill just by looking at them. I mentally scoffed. How can you just figure out skill by sight?

The alpha walked up to the microphone and the room just became silent almost immediately. Wow. This leader must be really good. I never got this much respect!

"Hello, everyone! We welcome all of Red Moon's pack members to the Lunar Nightstar pack. I believe my betas have told you already, but if they didn't, I'll say it. Every single person on this territory is to be respected. No one has titles except the alphas, betas, the thirds, and the warrior trainers. No Omegas and no higher rank because of how wealthy you are. Though we still have titles, we must respect all pack members and their wishes. Anyone who has any complaints about this rule should speak up now."

She paused for a moment to scan the crowd for any raised hands. Surprisingly one hand was raised. The alpha looked at the hand with annoyance and pointed to it. "Yes?"

"Why must the ranked respect the omegas of the pack? We are way higher in positions then they are." Selina called out. Leave it to her to get the alpha of the pack housing us angry. I mentally snarled at her comment.

The alpha growled. "No one on my territory is ranked an omega. All titles, except the Luna, Alpha, Betas, Thirds, and Trainers/Leaders, are wiped away. No one will be able to have a ruling over the others. The only way is to announce the problem to either me or my betas. We will take care of any problems. If it is a problem within your own pack, you are more than welcome to go to your Alpha for assistance. Don't hesitate to come forward. If you are threatened to keep silent, don't we will take care of the threat. The reason your here is to train, not make fun of other pack members. If you still have a problem with this, you are welcome to leave my territory." When Selina didn't move, she continued. "Now, to my pack," She looked at some of her members. "No matter how rude someone is, remember what happened to Zack." (AN: Zack was a rouge that was accepted into the pack. He mistreated others and was punished. Alice allowed him to be treated as he treated others. If one saw him do wrong, they could report it to the alpha or betas. They would allow a form of punishment, but milder than the one that was given. He will not be mentions in the story except for this time). Everyone from the Lunar Nightstar pack winced at his name. Weird.

"Anyways, to the Red Moon pack I welcome you. As you know, this is Star and Andrew, my betas. You'll be seeing them the most. Now, this is your alpha, Alice Alyssa Wildmer, signing off." With a wave of her, Andrew's, and Star's hands, the Lunar Nightstar pack dispersed. My pack had frozen at the mention of her name. The second Alice's hand rested by her side, her figure shimmered. Silver hair, blue eyes and all, there stood my mate, looking victorious at our shocked expressions. My mate was here all along.
