If I could build a wall around you
I could control the thing that you do
But I couldn't kill the will within you
And it never shows
The place where evil grows
---
A figure clothed in midnight purple entered the shop. The old lady, better known as Riské, walked into the room to meet them.
''Greetings Kaede.''
The figure scowled, taking their hood off their head to reveal their pale grey eyes and short brown hair.
''I thought I told you not to call me that. It's my kitsune name.'' Kaede told the old woman, rolling his eyes.
''Well in the time of almost a thousand years you still haven't told me that!'' Riské replied, sighing in frustration.
''Well then, it is Casimir, Destroyer of Peace. That is my normal name.''
''Whatever.'' The old woman replied dismissively, walking away from the male kitsune. ''Yours doesn't have a cool story to it, but mine does.''
''Oh, do tell,'' Casimir said, sounding annoyed.
''So you know Mistaké? That other old woman who sells tea in Ninjago? Well, I'm her adopted sist-''
''Nevermind, I shouldn't have asked, because I don't even care.'' The Male Kitsune/Shadow the Kitsune boi told her, crossing his arms.
Riské clenched her fists. ''Then why even ask?''
''I love it when you get annoyed, it's hilarious,'' Casimir answered boredly.
The old woman then picked up a small bottle, which was filled with a coruscating liquid. The male kitsune eyed it warily, before bringing his eyes level to Riské's.
''What is that? Poison?'' Kaede/Casimir questioned. ''Or is it something new?''
''Casimir, Casimir, I thought you were a full-grown kitsune.'' The old woman replied, looking down at the bottle in her hand. ''You're supposed to be smart, and not ask questions.''
He raised an eyebrow as Riské continued.
''It'll help me deal with (Y/n). The girl has no idea that she has the Dreamer's Disease, or that her brother is scouring the globe to find her, but he doesn't even know he won't ever find her without my help.''
''And?''
''Your kitsune name is a girls name. Change it.'' Riské replied.
''I only act dumb so I don't have to talk to you all the time.''
The old woman sighed in frustration, before disappearing into the back of the shop. Hot Topic Wannabe followed.
---
The army was almost quiet as they marched towards the swamp. (Y/n) had four Vermillion Warriors restraining her, with more behind.
Vitamin C wanted to have a rest and lay down so she could sleep and not hear her father and her uncle tell boring jokes. Even her dad's cringy dad jokes were better than this crap.
Remo was in plain sight, trying his best to keep (Y/n)'s spirits up by playing charades with her.
''Such balance. Such power. When Ninjago is finally under our rule, they will sing songs about our triumph today, brother, and—'' Krux said.
''Oh, you're so right, brother. How you doing back there, Wu? Perhaps he's gone deaf with old age.'' Acronix replied, looking at the Old Tea Obsessed Man, who was restrained by two Vermillion Warriors.
''Unfortunately, no. I can hear every one of your attempts at humour.'' Wu spoke, lifting his head to look at the twins.
The Seaweed-faced Twins laughed, turning towards their destination once more to continue with the march.
''Move it, old man,'' Machia ordered, Wu groaning as the Vermillion Warriors forced him to start walking again, with the Orange Ninja silent.
''This stinks. She got the Time Blade back. Totally made us look bad with Krux and Acronix.'' Blunck told his fellow commander.
''I wouldn't worry about it. They still need us.'' Raggmunk reassured him.
''Commander Blunck. Commander Raggmunk. We need you!'' The Older Seaweed-faced Bro called out, looking back at the pair.
''See?'' Raggmunk asked before the two went up to the twins. ''Coming.''
''As you know, my brother and I had been worried about the leadership of the Vermillion Warriors. And this mission certainly did not go as planned. The idea was simply to obtain the Time Blade and (Y/n). But now we are carrying a prisoner.'' Krux informed the two commanders.
''Here it comes,'' Blunck said in anticipation.
''Someone's in trouble,'' Raggmunk added.
''Commander Machia, your initiative in capturing the Ninjas' Master impressed us. You are promoted to the rank of Supreme Commander of the Vermillion Army.'' Acronix announced.
''I am honoured.'' Red Medusa replied, bowing.
Acronix then shifted his gaze to his daughter, who looked exhausted. His expression turned from a smile into a worried look, internally sighing as he glanced at his brother, who was busy promoting Machia.
As Krux turned his gaze to him, Acronix turned away from (Y/n), trying to hide his face from his brother.
''Did you say something?'' Machia asked, hearing the two commanders of the lower ranks speak something under their snakey breaths.
''Well deserved,'' Raggmunk replied quickly.
''So unfair...that it took so long,'' Blunck added as he covered up what he had said.
''Isn't all this celebrating and promoting a bit premature? My ninja are still out there.'' Wu told the twins.
''Seven of them against all this?'' The Older Twin questioned, as he turned to the swamp, which was now in sight. ''They have no leader. They have no Time Blades. They have no chance. And soon, we'll have another one joining our ranks.''
''One can only imagine how helpless they must feel. I almost feel sorry for them. Almost.'' Acronix said as the army laughed. His BorgWatch then beeped.
''What are you doing?'' Krux asked.
''Sharing this with all my Instabook followers. "Achieved...total...victory."'' The Younger Seaweed-faced Bro answered, looking at his BorgWatch as he announced it to his followers.
''Why must you ruin every good moment with your modern techno-garbage?'' Krux questioned.
''And why must you be so stubborn about staying in the ancient past?'' Acronix asked.
(Y/n) tugged at her captor's grip, testing their strength. Right now, her exhaustion was the one thing stopping her from going full-on attack mode, so she had to try something different.
Focusing on her powers that hadn't been used often, she decided to create something that she thought would distract the Vermillion.
The army turned around as the distant sound of rushing water was heard. A giant wave of water appeared, sloshing and frothing as it surged onward through the sewers, and towards the army who were still.
''Do something!'' Machia barked, facing the wave. Raggmunk and Blunck began panicking, while the twins were still.
As it was about to crash down upon them Acronix reached out his hand to touch the wave, and it disappeared in orange smoke.
Krux then looked over at (Y/n), who was glaring at him, silent.
As the Vermillion entered the swamp, there was one who wasn't there, as he had used the distraction to escape unnoticed.
Remo.

''Hey. This fight is as far from over. I know we had a setback, but—''
Back at the temple, Lloyd was giving the team a speech while most of them sat in a circle, with Kai leaning against a pillar staring at the helmet and Morro pacing around, impatient.
''It's always darkest before the dawn. Blah, blah, blah. Come on, let's get going already, okay?'' Kai asked, bored.
''Kai—'' Nya spoke.
''We don't need a pep talk. We need action.'' Burnt Toast interrupted, and Weather Boy nodded in agreement.
''I agree. They actually gave us a break by taking the Time Blade.'' Green Bean replied.
''How is that a break?'' Cole questioned.
''If any of you captured something that powerful, what would you do?'' Lloyd asked.
''Um, immediately haul it back home to show off to you guys?'' Jaybird questioned.
''Right! And unless I miss my guess, that's exactly where the Hands of Time are headed as we speak. Their home.'' Green Machine told the team.
''So if we can find the Time Blade...'' Cake Devourer started.
''...we can find Acronix and Krux's base.'' Frosty finished.
''Hey. Think you can locate the Blade with your temporal scanner?'' Lloyd asked the nindroid.
''Attempting access,'' Zane replied, closing his eyes. ''Hmm. I am afraid it was damaged when we fought the Vermillion Warriors.'' He said as he opened his eyes. Jay then laughed. ''I fail to see the humour, Jay.''
''I still think Vermillion Warriors is a stupid name,'' Ginja told him.
''I could see if the scanner on the Destiny's Bounty still works,'' Nya said hopefully.
''Yes. Good thinking, Nya.'' Mint Fresh™ replied.
''And the rest of you should go to the museum. Krux hid in plain sight there as Dr Saunders for forty years. I'll bet there's a clue where their secret headquarters is.'' Tall Glass O' Water told the others, standing up.
''Okay, let's split up,'' Lloyd said as the rest of the team got to their feet.
''Uh, I'll help you, sis.'' Burnt Toast spoke, turning to Nya.
''Well, one question: How are we supposed to get to the museum? Our vehicles got trashed by the snakes.'' Cole informed the others.
''Uh, we have the Super Sonic Raider jet.'' Green Bean spoke up.
''Uh, actually, hehe, my dad's still kind of working on that. We can take the Lightning Bike.'' Ginja replied.
''I can ''borrow'' (Y/n)'s hoverboard.'' Morro said, glancing at everyone's faces to see their reaction. No one reacted so he assumed he was able to borrow it.
''Kai and I have our old bikes.'' Tall Glass O' Water added.
''What about me and Zane?'' The Green Ninja asked.
''Well, I was saving this for your birthday, but...'' Misako said, pressing a button on a remote in her hand, making the floor open up to reveal a mini Destiny's Bounty. ''The Destiny's Shadow.''
Morro's jaw dropped.
''Oh, come on! First Jay, now Lloyd? Does everyone get a new ride for their birthday!?'' Kai asked the others, before seeing their faces and realising what he had said. ''Uh, I said that out loud, didn't I?''
''Yep.'' Weather Boy said, walking to Burnt Toast's side.
''I love it!'' Lloyd exclaimed, hugging Misako. He then hopped into the vehicle, looking excited.
''I wish Wu could have seen this.'' The Old Woman replied in a sombre tone.
''Oh, he will. We'll get him back sooner or later.'' The Green Ninja told her. ''(Y/n) too.''
''Hmm, it's the "later" I worry about,'' Misako said.
''Huh? Uh...what does that mean?'' Ginja questioned, confused.
''I can't. He made me promise not to tell you.'' The Old Woman answered.
''Mum, we're a team. We don't keep secrets from each other,'' Lloyd replied, looking at her.
''When Wu fought Acronix alone at the temple, he was struck with a punch powered by the Time Blade. The hit unleashed the forward energy of time onto him, and the effect is...''
''Master Wu is rapidly aging. Of course. That explains his recent fatigue and the rambling.'' Zane cut in as he realised.
Jay gasped. ''And the super-long old-guy beard.''
''I don't even know if the effect can be reversed,'' Misako said, uncertain.
''Then we better get moving.'' The Green Ninja urged.
''Good hunting, son. Stay safe.'' His mother told him, smiling softly.
''I will,'' Lloyd promised.
''Any time now,'' Zane spoke, looking at the Green Ninja.
''It's a lot of buttons,'' Greenie replied, accidentally pressing a button which caused a loud beeping sound, making Cole and Jay chuckle. Then, he finally got the engine started, and flew away in the Destiny's Shadow, with most of the team following.
---
''Whoa! Ugh! I have no idea what any of these buttons do. And it doesn't come with a user's manual.'' Green Bean told Frosty after the flying vehicle spun midair.
''On it. Pixal, please do a vehicular spec analysis. Oh, right, she's still offline. I'll do it myself.'' Zane replied, before plugging himself into the vehicle. ''The Destiny's Shadow has four offensive weapons, seven defensive systems, five transformative reconfigurations, and one mini-fridge. Beverage?''
''Uh, maybe later,'' Lloyd said.
''I'll have one,'' Morro spoke, appearing on the hoverboard, flying alongside the vehicle. Zane then tossed it to him. The Master of Wind tried to catch it, but he fumbled and dropped it. ''Oh.''
The ninja then arrived at the museum, with Weather Boy staring at the way they came, silently mourning the beverage.
---
''Nothing,'' Lloyd said as he checked a spot.
''Negative,'' Zane spoke as he searched.
''Argh. This is a waste of time. There's nothing here but old junk.'' Jay told the others, almost breaking the displays but Zane caught them before they could break.
''Jay! You wanna take it easy? I know that's Krux's stuff, but some of it is priceless.'' The Green Ninja told him.
''Bill me. That guy went after my parents. And he kidnapped (Y/n). If he was here I'd be breaking more than his pottery.'' Ginja replied, picking up a porcelain bowl. When he threw it, Zane dove to catch it, preventing it from shattering.
''When I get my hands on him... oh he'll be sorry,'' Morro muttered, earning a mildly concerned look from Jay.
''Looks like you're fully functional again,'' Lloyd told the nindroid.
''Except for my inability to interface with Pixal, yes. It is highly frustrating.'' Frosty replied.
''How about you, Cole? Earth Punch under control?'' Greenie questioned the Cake Devourer.
''Oh, yeah. I am totally dialled in it.'' The coal-haired Earth Ninja answered, his arms glowing orange, before accidentally breaking a wall, revealing a secret room. ''Oh, uh, okay. Mostly totally dialled in.''
''Guys! There's a secret room.'' Lloyd told the others, running over to where Cole stood.
''Yeah! Heh. 'Cause obviously I meant to do that.'' Cake Devourer said, gazing through the hole he created.
---
Lloyd and Zane walked up to the tank of Vermillion Eggs. With Jay and Cole talking to each other while Morro inspected the otherwise bare room.
''What's this?'' The Green Ninja asked.
''It appears to be a breeding tank for snake eggs.'' Frosty the Ice Ninja answered.
''Look! Plans for armour, weapons, and a bunch of I-don't-know-what.'' Jay told the pair, holding blueprints in his hand.
''What's interesting is what is not here. No computer. No modern equipment of any kind.'' Zane informed.
''Got something,'' Cole spoke up, opening a door. The others gathered behind him, looking into the sewer system.
''Whoa. A hidden door inside a hidden lab? This must lead to someplace important.'' Green Bean replied.
''Hehe. Hopefully not to a bathroom that Krux really didn't like to share.'' Jay said jokingly.
''We're going down there, aren't we? It looks pretty gross.'' Cole commented.
''What other choice do we have?'' Lloyd questioned as the group entered the sewers.
---
''Oh, maybe Nya and Kai got the scanners back online.'' The Lightning Ninja said hopefully as the group walked through the sewers.
''Nah, we'd have heard from them by now,'' Greenie replied.
''We must get there, otherwise, something may happen to Wu.'' Morro urged.
''What about (Y/n)? Isn't she just as important?'' Zane questioned. The others stopped and looked at Weather Boy.
The Master of Wind's shoulder's drooped slightly as if there had been an invisible weight dropped on them. He heaved a sigh, his eyes directed at the ground. ''I fear they may turn her to their side.''
''But that's impossible!'' Lloyd replied, looking at Morro. ''She would never want to hurt us.''
Jay and Cole looked worried. Cake Devourer then spoke up. ''I remember when (Y/n)'s legs were broken, and I left her in her room. Looking back on that now, would she hate me for that?''
''No.'' Weather Boy answered, and began walking again, with the rest of the group following suit. ''I've been in her head, or at least I think so, I don't remember everything but she didn't have any hatred towards any of you for that, she just blamed herself for it.''
The group continued walking in silence, thinking about Morro's words.
''Would anyone happen to have a reconfigurable amphibious vehicle?'' Jay asked out of nowhere.
''Actually, we might. Let me access those specs again. Reconfiguration three of the Destiny's Shadow is the Experimental Amphibious Multi-Terrain Assault Vehicle, XAMTAV.'' Frosty the Ice Ninja answered.
''Ha! What a catchy name. XAMTAV. Heh. Sounds like a laxative. No wonder Kai was so jealous.'' Ginja said, trying to brighten the mood. The group then saw the Destiny's Shadow approaching them.
''I took the liberty of using the museum Wi-Fi to interface the Destiny's Shadow and bring it here,'' Zane told the others.
''Uh, beats walking,'' Greenie replied.
''Wait!''
There was a pause as the ninja turned in the direction of the voice. They then caught sight of Remo, who was almost invisible as he slithered towards the group.
Jay and Morro went over to the snake to pick him up, almost bumping heads. The little Ham Sandwich Devourer looked worried as Ginja gently grabbed him.
''They have plans to turn (Y/n) evil!'' Remo squeaked in fear, making the pair's expressions turn serious.
''Get in the freaking Destiny's Shadow now,'' Morro demanded, and the group hopped in, with Lloyd at the wheel, speeding off into the sewers.
---
(Y/n) groaned as she awoke, confused as she looked around the unfamiliar space. Remembering the long march in the sewers, which had worn her out, As she went to move, she felt something restraining her wrists.
Vitamin C looked behind her to see that she was chained to the wall, making her sigh.
''I'm a damsel, and I'm in distress, I can handle this.'' (Y/n) told herself, hoping it was true. 'You know what? I need to sleep, I'm exhausted.' She thought, closing her eyes to go back to sleep.
'So?' A voice spoke, sounding familiar.
'Morro?' The Fanta Ninja questioned, opening her eyes to look at the floor. The voice in her head cackled.
'Maybe, maybe not...' The voice answered. (Y/n) groaned in frustration.
'Are we really going to do this all over again?'
'First of all, I'm not Morro.' The voice clarified. 'I'm the person who is always in your head. Never speaking, never acting. '
'Then go away.' (Y/n) replied, resting her back on the wall. 'Leave me in peace, will ya?'
'That's no way to talk to the elderly.'
'Oh great, it could've been anyone. It just had to be you...'
Vitamin C then heard footsteps and looked up to see Machia, who was walking over with a bottle filled with a coruscating liquid in her hand.
''Where'd you get that from.?'' (Y/n) asked, but Red Medusa refused to reply. The Orange Ninja then looked into the Supreme Commander's eyes. Machia stared at her coldly, her eyes a different colour than before.
Before Vitamin C could think more about it, suddenly Machia opened the bottle and pinned the girl to the wall, making (Y/n)'s mouth open in surprise. Taking the opportunity, Red Medusa poured the bottle's contents into her mouth.
(Y/n) coughed and spluttered as the liquid made its way down her throat. She then felt drowsiness wash over her, and as she stared at Red Medusa with a defiant glare, her vision began to fade, before she passed out she had one last thought:
What the heck just happened?

Back at the Noodle House, Kai was chatting to Skylor.
''It's just so shocking to find out that your father, someone you idolized your entire life, turns out to be...There's no other word for it. Evil.'' Burnt Toast told her. ''It makes you question everything you know. Everything you are. Which is why I came to you. Because you went through the same thing, and I—''
A door opened, and Nya appeared. ''Nya! Over here!'' Kai spoke, waving his hand in the air to gain her attention.
Tall Glass O' Water ran over a smile on her face. ''I did it. I figured out the identity of Samurai X. It's Skylor!''
The red-haired girl chuckled. ''I am? Oh. I had no idea. Does that mean I get that cool armour?'' She questioned.
''Uh? It has to be you. Everything fits. The skills, the different fighting styles. The voices.'' Nya replied filled with confusion.
''Sorry to disappoint.'' Skylor apologised.
''I don't suppose she just got here seconds before I did.'' The Water Ninja told her brother. Kai shook his head in reply. ''Then I still don't know who Samurai X is. I don't believe it.''
''We can solve that riddle later. Nya, I have news for you. And it's not good. You better sit down.'' Porcupine said to his sister.
''I'm gonna get some noodles.'' Noodle Daughter spoke, getting up and leaving the siblings to talk.
''I went back to the blacksmith shop. What Krux told me is true. Our parents were indeed traitors.''
''No. They couldn't have been.''
''They were. And still are. Nya. Our parents...they're alive.'' Kai informed his sister.
''But...that's impossible,'' Nya replied in disbelief. Burnt Toast then picked up a helmet. ''A rusty old helmet. So?''
''So this one is new. Our dad is still making them. Which can only mean...'' Kai started, looking at Tall Glass O' Water.
''Our father is still alive.'' Nya finished.
''And working for the Hands of Time. But here's the worst part. What does that mean for us? Are we destined to turn evil?'' Burnt Toast questioned.
Skylor came back, holding two bowls of noodles. She set them down on the table, sitting down herself. ''Of course not. Our parents leave behind their legacies, not our destinies. We choose who we become. Noodles? Nice and hot. They always cheer me up.''
''No thanks. I lost my appetite.'' Kai replied.
''Kai, you can't let this news get you down. We find our own paths.'' The red-haired gal told him.
''Skylor's right. Look at her.'' Tall Glass O' Water said, pointing her chopstick in her hand at the girl. ''She could have inherited her father Chen's evil empire and rule the world. But instead dedicated her life just spending her day bent over a hot stove to provide low-cost, quality noodles to the people of Ninjago City.''
Skylor brushed the chopstick pointed at her away. ''Huh. Gee, when you put it like that...'' She then sighed. ''Let me get some of those.''
---
(Y/n) hummed 'The Sound of Silence' as she ventured through the dreamscape, wondering what to do.
In the distance, she could hear the evil laugher of her uncle and her father, which echoed throughout the place.
''I know you're there! Stop hiding!'' (Y/n) yelled. There was no response, not even a whisper. As she walked, there was the sound of crumpling paper underfoot.
Vitamin C stopped to lift her foot to uncover the old prophecy scroll and bent down to pick it up. As she grabbed it, it disintegrated in a cloud of dust, before being carried away by a sudden gust of wind.
(Y/n) ran to keep up with it, not watching her surroundings as her gaze was fixed on the cloud of dust that was the old prophecy scroll.
Suddenly, the surroundings changed, to Riské's Tea Shop.
''Ah, you've finally arrived.'' Riske Biske spoke, materializing in front of (Y/n).
''Why am I here? Am I awake?'' The Orange Ninja asked, looking around at her surroundings warily.
''No, but by now the tea would have stopped working. You would have woken up from your Ninjago dream. Fortunately for you, I had my assistant prolong it for a bit more.''
''And why's that?''
''To offer you a decision,'' Riské answered with a cracked tooth grin. ''I encourage freedom of choice with my customers.''
''Just don't waste my time. What are my choices?''
The old woman giggled, leaning on the counter. ''One isn't all that favourable, while the other one you will like.''
''I'm still waiting for my answer Riské.''
Riske Biske cleared her old woman throat. ''The first, you wake up and bring your brother back to enjoy Ninjago with you, or....''
''Or?''
''You turn evil.''
(Y/n) frowned. ''Really? I thought the choices were going to be better than this. Also, didn't you warn me that next time I wake up something terrible would happen?''
''Every action has its consequence, and it all depends on what path you take.''
''...''
''There is one last choice,'' Riske told her, making the kitsune look at her. ''Oh wait, I forgot what it was, maybe it wasn't a choice. Oh no, you'll have to pick between the two I've given...''
''You frickle frack I hope you break your back.''
Riske ignored (Y/n)'s comment and continued: ''If you turn evil for a little while, I'll give you some cookies to welcome you into the dark side, and perhaps a few memes as well, you do seem to love those, don't you?''
(Y/n) crossed her arms and turned her back on the old woman, pinning her fox ears so she couldn't hear anything Riské said.
The surroundings changed once again, to a forest filled with charred trees. (Y/n) lifted her ears, gazing around at the new environment, before her gaze landed on a figure amongst the trees.
The person seemed to be a dude and he was wearing hiking boots with a dirtied grey short-sleeved shirt, along with navy blue trackie pants, and (h/c) hair spiked up into a mohawk with orange tips.
They seemed to be looking for something, or someone.
''Make your choice,'' Riské whispered.
''The second.'' (Y/n) answered. The dude tripped over, probably on a tree root, almost disappearing. When he got up, his eyes widened, mouth agape in disbelief.
''I don't believe it.'' He mumbled. ''(Y/n), is that really you?''
''No, I'm an armadillo obviously.'' Vitamin C answered sarcastically.
''It's weird how I still remember your sense of humour.'' Amias mused. He then ran up to his sister and wrapped his arms around her in a tight hug.
(Y/n) stared awkwardly off into the distance as it felt like her ribs were being squashed. ''Okay, you can stop now.''
''Oh, sorry,'' Her brother apologised. ''Now to get you back home safely.''
Orange Peel looked at him with a frown. ''I don't want to go back home, this is my home.''
''A burnt forest?'' Amias questioned, raising an eyebrow. ''This place was ravaged by fires recently, not sure how you could live in a place like this.''
''No.'' His sister replied with a shake of her head. ''Ninjago.''
''Come again?'' Her brother asked as if he was hard of hearing.
''Ninjago, the place where a group of colour-coded ninja fight together to defeat a villain?''
''Oh! Wait, are you crazy? Do I have to call the police.? Or am I dreaming, and you're gonna be gone when I wake up, all because I had some of those tea leaves?''
Now it was (Y/n)'s turn to stare at her brother. ''You had some of the Dream Tea?!''
''That's what it's called? Maybe I am in a dream...'' Amias said, looking around at his surroundings as if expecting them to change suddenly. (Y/n) facepalmed.
''Use the tea to get into Ninjago, drink some of it, not all of it, before you go to sleep, then you'll wake up in Ninjago.'' Vitamin C instructed, while her brother listened.
''Hehe... the problem is, I left the rest of the tea back at home.''
''Go back and get it, if you went on a journey to find me you can go back home and take a rest. I'll be waiting.''
Her brother nodded in reply. Then, everything seemed to freeze in place. Amias was frozen in his position, and the air was still.
The individual colours of their surroundings began to drip like paint, splashing on the ground and mixing in puddles.
Amias, still in his position began to turn monochrome grey, and as his colours fell to the dirt, he began to disappear, his figure becoming see-through and pale, like that of a ghost. Then, he completely vanished, leaving (Y/n) to watch as the burnt forest around her melted.
The girl woke up, confusion in her eyes as she looked around. Nearby was Cyrus Borg, who turned to look at her with worry in his gaze.
(Y/n) looked towards the entrance, then at her wrists. She was no longer chained to the wall. When she stood up she once again heard the old woman's voice.
'You made your choice. You have to stay.'
Vitamin C groaned but didn't sit back down. She then walked over to Borg, who had finished working on some sort of contraption.
''So, how's life?'' (Y/n) asked the inventor with a smile.
Cyrus shyly smiled back, slightly blushing. ''It's been good, I-I guess, now that someone else is here. O-other than the twins and Machia.'' He then mumbled something under his breath.
Hearing footsteps behind her, (Y/n) turned around to see her uncle and her father.
''Yeah, I'm awake.'' Vitamin C told them before they could speak.
---
''That's a lot of eggs,'' Cole said as the group gazed at the masses of glowing Vermillion Eggs in the swamp.
''And a lot of armours. Er. Ers?'' Jay asked awkwardly.
''Wu and (Y/n)'s gotta be down there somewhere,'' Greenie told the others.
''And Cyrus Borg,'' Zane added, also agreeing to Lloyd's statement.
Morro was silent as he scanned the swamp, with Remo at his feet feeling a bit hungry.
''One thing's for sure. We're gonna need the whole team.'' Green Machine said, calling the Water Ninja on his phone.
Nya's phone vibrated. Tall Glass O' Water then picked up the phone. ''It's Lloyd. Lloyd? Sorry, we couldn't, um—Uh...get the scanners working, but—You found it? Where? We'll be there right away.''
''What is it?'' Burnt Toast questioned.
Nya hopped out of her seat. ''They found Acronix and Krux's base.''
''Let's roll,'' Kai replied, doing the same.
''Guys, if you need any he—'' Skylor spoke, looking excited.
''To-go bags? Heh. No thanks. Finding out about my parents killed my appetite.'' The Water Ninja cut in, and the siblings left.
''Oh. I guess quality noodles is all I'm good for.'' Noodle Daughter said, looking down at her bowl, and tried some of the noodles. ''Mm.''
''Nya, something just occurred to me,'' Kai said to his sister after they had hopped on their motorcycles.
''What?'' The Water Ninja questioned.
''If the guys found Krux and Acronix...''
''Then they found our father!''
''(Y/n) is important as well.''
''I know, Kai. I care about her too.''
Any theories?
Alright ye endings, there's going to be multiple.
