They see you as small and helpless

They see you as just a child

Surprise when they find out that a warrior will soon run wild

Prepare for your greatest moments

Prepare for your finest hour

The dream that you've always dreamed is suddenly about to flower

At the Destiny's Bounty, the Ninja were sleeping peacefully, but the alarm clock started blaring, waking them up.

''Ugh,'' Cole said as he hit his head on the top bunk.

''Uh, Aah!'' Jay rolled over and fell off his bed.

Kai threw something at the clock, making it hit a gramophone and making it louder. The Ninja groaned, but lucky Zane, being a Nindroid, was unaffected by the annoying noise. Lloyd used his Energy to shut it off.

''Is it Wednesday already?'' Lloyd asked the others.

''Sunrise exercise. I hate sunrise exercise.'' Jay replied, holding his head and getting up.

Wu came in, ringing a mini gong. ''Ah. Good morning, morning, morning! Up, up. It's a new day, students. Before we begin sunrise exercise, I noticed the Dragon made another mess outside. It looks like a two-person job, hehe.'' The sensei told his students, before leaving the room and closing the door behind him.

''Uh, what was that, Sensei?'' Cole asked, putting his hand up to his ear.

''Did I hear an SOS call come in?'' Kai asked.

''I sense I need to be somewhere else,'' Zane told the others.

''Lloyd, haha. I'm sure you got this, heh.'' Jay said to him, before running off with Cole.

''Aww, you might've been able to dump chores on me when I was smaller, but I'm grown up now. That's not fair!'' Lloyd told the others, making them stop.

Kai sighed ''You're right, Lloyd. We need to settle this like men. With a round of Rock, Paper, Clamp! Okay, on three! One, two, three!''

Lloyd chose rock but everyone else chose paper.

''Haha, paper beats rock!''

Lloyd groaned. ''How does paper beat rock?'' He asked. Lloyd prepared to clean up the Dragon. ''I always have to do the dirty work.''

''Hey, having a pet Dragon requires a lot of responsibility,'' Cole replied.

''As well as having a snake, friend, not pet.'' (Y/n) spoke, looking at Remo.

''Didn't your mom ever let you have a pet?'' Jay asked the Green Ninja.

''I don't remember my mother. She abandoned me when I was really young.'' Lloyd answered, looking down.

''She just left? Who took care of you?'' Kai asked.

''I spent my whole life at Darkley's Boarding School,'' Lloyd replied.

''Hey, I have a mission for you guys,'' Nya said, sliding down the Bounty's anchor. ''It's the Museum of Ninjago! They've asked for you guys! Something really strange has happened.''

''What?'' Kai asked, confused.

''You're gonna have to see it to believe it,'' Nya replied.

''Ripley's Believe It or Not? Count me in!'' (Y/n) said, excited.

The others ran to the Bounty, while Lloyd stayed back to hand the chore to the samurai girl.

''Here, Nya. Hold this.'' Lloyd said, giving her the bag.

''Wait a minute. What am I supposed to do with these?'' Nya asked, before looking at the dragon. ''Oh.''

---

The Ninja reached the museum, walking inside.

''Oh, thank heavens you're here!'' The Curator told them.

''We heard there was an emergency?'' Wu asked.

''Yes, come, come. Quickly, this way. The Stone Warrior exhibit opens to the public tonight, and this couldn't have come at a worse time.'' The Curator replied, guiding them down a corridor.

''Uh, what couldn't have come at a worse time?'' Kai asked.

''Ninjago City appreciates your help in destroying The Great Devourer some time back, but it appears its toxic venom has seeped into the city sewer system and has had the most unusual after-effect.'' The Curator replied, walking past a puddle of venom.

''Aargh!'' The said in disgust, while (Y/n) wrinkled her nose.

''Ugh. It stinks!'' Kai said.

''The toxicity in the venom somehow brought our merchandise to life! They're so unruly. I just don't know who else to call!'' He told the ninja, opening the door to a room filled with animate figurines.

Zane got hit by one of the figurines. ''Ah!'' He crushed it in his grip.

''We've got this covered. I think we can handle a few toys.'' Jay reassured the Curator.

''And please, could you contain the fighting to the gift shop? The doors to the new exhibit will be opening soon. Thank you.'' The Curator said, closing the doors and leaving them to deal with the lively figurines.

Jay used his nunchucks to hit a few, while (Y/n) threw one into a group of figurines, destroying them.

Some went towards Lloyd, with two pushing a small stone warrior statue onto him, knocking him to the ground.

''Whoa! Stupid little guy.'' The Green Ninja said, getting them off him.

Two more spilt beads, making the boys slip on them. The Stone Warrior figurines laughed at them.

''Alright. Playtime's over. Ninja, go!'' Kai said, doing spinjitzu.

''Ninja, go!'' Jay Cole and Zane said, doing the same thing.

''Uh, oops,'' Zane said as they looked at the now messy room. (Y/n) facepalmed, with Remo doing the same.

''Hahaha! Whoo! Hahaha!'' A figurine laughed, escaping the room, and Wu chased after it.

The ninja soon followed, seeing an elderly woman with grey hair in a plait.

Jay cleared his throat as the Ninja approached the two. ''So, uh, you gonna introduce us?'' He asked.

Wu cleared his throat. ''Uh, yes. This is Misako, Lloyd's mother.'' He answered, and everyone gasped.

''My...my mother?'' Lloyd asked, looking at the old woman.

''Ah. Lloyd? My little boy. You're so much bigger than I remember.'' Misako approached Lloyd.

''Yeah, well, it's been a long time,'' Lloyd replied, irritated.

''I didn't want us to meet like this. I have a reason why I've been away.'' She told him.

''Well, I don't wanna hear it,'' Lloyd said, walking away.

''Lloyd, wait. Please!'' Misako called out after him. (Y/n) looked at her before looking at Wu.

---

The Ninja were trying to find Lloyd.

''Lloyd? Lloyd!'' Misako called out for her son, looking for him. They found him at the Bottomless Pit exhibit. ''I'd watch your step. That sinkhole doesn't have a bottom, son. It's where I found the ancient Stone Warrior.'' His mother told him, walking toward her son.

''Uh, "son?" You've been gone my whole life! There's nothing you can say.'' Lloyd replied, looking away.

''Well, I'm going to talk anyway.'' Misako said. ''You wanna know what I've been doing all this time? Long before Sensei Wu ever knew who would be the Green Ninja, I knew it would be you.''

''And I knew you would eventually have to fight your father. I dropped you off at the Boarding School so I could go learn everything I could about the prophecy, in hope of one day preventing the final battle.''

''Of good and evil. All this time, son, I've been trying to save you and your father. Long before time had a name, Ninjago was created by the First Spinjitzu Master—'' Before being interrupted by her son.

''Yeah, yeah. We've heard this story a hundred times.'' Lloyd interrupted.

''But you've only heard half of it,'' Misako replied. ''In Ninjago, there has always been balance between good and evil. So you know about how the First Spinjitzu Master created Ninjago, but what if I were to tell you in order for there to be light, there must be shadow, and within shadow, there is darkness.''

''The blackest of darkness that existed from the very beginning. An evil spirit called "The Overlord."'' She told him.

''Did you know about this, Sensei?'' Zane asked.

''I had hoped if I'd kept the secret, that name would never be spoken again,'' Wu answered.

''The balance was at stake, and their battle could have gone on for eternity.'' Misako continued. ''Each side powerful, neither could conquer the other until the Overlord created his indestructible warriors: the Stone Army.''

''The Spinjitzu Master did what he could, but he knew he would soon be defeated. So instead of losing the war, he divided Ninjago in two. And lucky for us, since then there has been no trace of the Overlord or his Stone Army, until my recent discovery.'' She finished, looking at the others.

''So that's why the battle has yet to be decided. It was never finished.'' Kai said, looking at Wu.

''But where is this Dark Island?'' Cole asked. ''I've never heard of it.''

''Disappeared, I presume,'' Misako replied. ''But the legend states that so long as the balance between good and evil remains even, the Overlord shall remain trapped from this world. I have always feared your father's ambition will ultimately lead to a shift in the balance. That is why he must be stopped.''

'''We have each felt the power of the First Spinjitzu Master, passed onto us in the form of the elemental weapons. But now that power has been inherited by the Green Ninja, which is why only Lloyd can defeat the ultimate evil, or else all of Ninjago will fall prey to its darkness.'' Wu told the others.

'What about the Orange Ninja?' Morro asked inside her mind, confusing (Y/n).

'What Orange Ninja?' (Y/n) asked.

'It's, nothing.' Morro replied, making her suspicious.

''Leaving you was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. But faced with saving you and the world, I had no other choice.'' The old woman said to her son.

---

''It's alive!'' (Y/n) heard a man call out as the crowd screamed.

''Impossible! It just looks life-like.'' The Curator spoke before she heard his panicked cries.

''Have you discovered a way to prevent me from facing my father?'' Lloyd asked Misako. (Y/n) noticed the other room had become a bit quieter.

''I'm sorry, not yet. But I have reason to believe there's still hope.'' Misako replied.

''Watch out!'' (Y/n) cried out, facing the Giant Stone Warrior. Everyone turned around in shock to see it.

''Whoa! Excuse me!? Would somebody please tell me what the heck is that!?'' Jay asked, screaming and pointing at it.

''The Stone Warrior.'' The old woman answered.

''The Devourer's venom has awakened him!'' Zane said, looking at it.

''Oh, great! Kai, take care of him.'' Cole spoke, looking at the Fire Ninja.

''Um, me? Okay, blockhead. Take this!'' Kai replied, putting his hood on and grabbing his sword. He ran forward and did a flip, and as his sword hit it broke and the blade shattered from the impact. ''Well, in my mind's eye, I saw that playing out entirely differently. Whoa!'' He cried out as the Stone Warrior picked him up by the leg.

''The Overlord created his Stone Army from an indestructible material only found on the Dark Island,'' Misako told him.

''Ah, great. You could've mentioned that earlier.'' Kai replied, before being thrown into a vase, breaking it.

''Lloyd, use your powers,'' Wu told Lloyd, who summoned a ball of glowing green energy and fire it at the Stone Warrior, who was knocked back. The Ninja cheered, but it walked through the green flames, growling.

''Wait a minute. How are we supposed to destroy this thing?'' Cole asked, looking at the old master.

''You can't,'' Misako answered.

''Well, looks like we got a statue to fight.'' (Y/n) said, looking at it. The four ran forward, with the boys putting on their hoods while she summoned sparks of electricity. The Stone Warrior was unaffected by Zane's shurikens and kicking Cole. Jay ran forward, swinging his nunchucks.

The Stone Warrior used its sword to knock his weapon out of his grip.

''Aaahh! Hehe, easy big guy, maybe this is a sign you need to lose a few pounds, hehe.'' The Stone Warrior pushed him back, with him almost falling into the Bottomless Pit. Wu extended his bamboo staff for him to grab. ''Close call!''

Zane leapt at it, and it took the hit, unaffected. (Y/n) looked at Zane before looking at the Giant Stone Warrior. She let loose a bolt of electricity, it hit it but it was still unaffected.

The boys looked at her with shock, as they hadn't known of her lightning powers until now. The team were then thrown out of the room. Misako groaned.

''Ah! This is gonna be much harder than a bunch of bobble-heads, fellas.'' Cole told the others.

''Yeah, well, then it's a good thing we're in a museum,'' Jay replied, walking up to the doorway.

''Why is that?'' Misako asked.

'''Cause we're all about to become history! Run!'' Jay answered as the Stone Warrior appeared. He then turned around and ran, the others following him.

''If I go down in history, remember me for centuries!'' (Y/n) shouted, running.

''The guy's got a pair of sneakers on him. Pick up the pace, go, go, go!'' Lloyd said, urging them to run faster.

''Oh, man. He's pretty fast for a big guy!'' Kai spoke.

The Ninja closed the doors but the Stone Warrior was slowly breaking it.

''Ah. This thing is unstoppable!'' Cole said, struggling to keep the door closed.

''Indestructible, to be precise,'' Zane replied, doing the same. The ninja then stepped back.

''That door ain't gonna hold him forever,'' Kai told the others.

''Then let's settle this like men. With Rock, Paper, Clamp. Loser has to face him, so the rest can escape.'' Jay said. Everyone, including Lloyd, joined. ''Nu-uh, not you, Chosen One.''

''Like men?'' (Y/n) snorted.

Kai sighed. ''On three. One, two—''

''Wait a minute, that's it!'' Lloyd exclaimed, getting an idea.

''What's "it?"'' Wu asked the Green Ninja.

''If you guys can keep him busy, I think I know how to stop him,'' Lloyd replied.

''I say we give the kid a shot,'' Cole said.

''You're just saying that 'cause you're too afraid to face him,'' Jay replied, looking at the Earth Ninja.

''Do you wanna face it?'' The Earth Ninja asked.

''I say we give the kid a shot.'' The Lightning Ninja answered.

Looking around, the Green Ninja saw a vent, opening it and crawling inside. Misako and Wu watched.

''Be careful, Lloyd. And good luck.'' The old woman told her son.

''Thanks, mom.'' The Green Ninja replied, before turning and disappearing into the vent.

''I can't believe that's Lord Garmadon's son,'' Misako told Wu.

'' Don't forget, he's yours too,'' Wu replied.

''Hm. He's had a good teacher.'' The old woman said.

''You mean "teachers."'' Wu said, referring to the ninja.

---

The Stone Warrior searched for them, looking around the museum. The Earth Ninja leapt onto a dinosaur skeleton, and cut some ropes, making the skeleton model fall on it.

''Whoa! Direct hit! Haha!'' Jay exclaimed. ''Alright!''

They slid down the spine of a stegosaurus skeleton, landing on the floor.

''Hey-hey! Did we get him?'' Cole asked as they approached the pile of bones.

The Giant Stone Warrior emerged from the debris.

''He's still here!'' Kai said.

(Y/n) sighed. ''We never get lucky now do we?''

''You think Lloyd's ready with his plan?'' Zane asked.

''I hope so,'' Cole answered, and they ran, with the Giant Stone Warrior bursting out of the pile with a dinosaur skull on its head.

Misako tripped. ''Ah! I may not be a Ninja, but I can look after myself.'' She said, sliding down a banner, and everyone else did the same, except for (Y/n), who stepped off the railing and landed safely. The Stone Warrior appeared, and she dove for cover and watched as it chased after Misako.

''Over here!'' Lloyd said as she ran past, waving his arms.

''Lloyd!'' She exclaimed, running over to him.

''Shh. Hey, loser! Paper beats rock!'' Lloyd told the Giant Stone Warrior, enraging it. As it ran towards them, he grabbed his mother and jumped out of the way. The Warrior fell through the floor, revealing the Bottomless Pit.

''Of course, the Bottomless Pit. I'm so proud of you. I feel like the balance has brought us together.'' Misako said, hugging him.

''Stay with us. Help us fight the good fight.'' Wu told Misako.

''If that's okay with my son.'' The old woman replied.

''Hey. The more, the merrier.'' Lloyd said with a smile.

---

Hearing rumbling, (Y/n) ran outside. The others called out for her, but she was focused, knowing it may have been important.

She looked towards the water, and in the distance, a dark mass of land could be seen, shrouded in shadow.

'The Dark Island.' Morro spoke, remembering what Misako told them.

''Garmadon has already found it.'' (Y/n) mumbled.

Remo narrowed his eyes. ''I hate evil overlords.''

Hearing the doors to the museum open, she turned around to see Jay. His eyes held a million questions, looking at her.

''Hey, Jay.'' (Y/n) greeted him. ''Why'd you follow me outside?''

''I uh,'' Jay replied, looking for an answer. ''I have a question.''

''Go on.''

''Are you my sister?'' He asked. (Y/n) laughed.

''Of course not, Jay. I'm not like any of you, heck I'm not even human.'' (Y/n) answered. The Lightning Ninja gave her a look of confusion.

''What do you mean?'' Jay asked.

''Well, I just don't know.'' She told him. ''I just feel different. Kinda like Zane, who's a nindroid, but I'm not. You get what I mean?''

''If you're not human, then why do you have lightning powers?'' The Motor Mouth asked.

''It is simply the mysteries of the universe, my friend.'' (Y/n) replied. ''We may never know.'' She added jokingly.

Jay chuckled a bit at her words, smiling. The two stood, talking until the others came out, and walked away from the museum.

Tomorrow was going to be quite a chaotic day.
