Carry you to broken ground
Though I'll find you in the sand
Wipe you clean with dirty hands
---
There was a loud crash. (Y/n) woke, and looked wildly around her room.
Nya remembered (Y/n) was asleep, so she went to check in on her. Nya carefully opened the door, careful not to wake her if she was asleep.
(Y/n) was awake, staring at the ceiling.
''You okay?'' She asked.
''Maybe.'' (Y/n) replied.
''Do you want to come up to the deck? You won't be alone up there, I promise.'' Nya asked. (Y/n) nodded.
Nya gently lifted her, and carried her to the deck, sitting her down in a chair. She then watched as the ninja, Wu and Nya confronted Lloyd.
''Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon, you come here right now!'' Wu shouted.
''I got him,'' Jay said, picking up Lloyd and slinging him over his shoulder.
(Y/n) bit her lip. She only let people pick her up if she let them to.
''Whoa! Hey, let me go!'' Lloyd exclaimed.
''What should we do with him? Wash his mouth out with soap for a year?'' Cole asked.
''Ground him indefinitely?'' Kai asked.
''Have him sit in a corner for a century?'' Zane questioned.
''I know exactly what we must do,'' Wu said, making Lloyd gulp.
---
''So we're going to read him a bedtime story?'' (Y/n) asked.
''Yes,'' Wu answered, grabbing a book from his bookshelf.
Lloyd sat there, scared.
''It's going to be alright, Wu's just reading you a story.'' (Y/n) reassured him, her voice soft.
The boys walked past, before poking their heads in. They listened as Wu read the story to Lloyd, astonished looks on their faces.
Day turned to night, and finally, Wu finished reading the story.
''And that is why Jack the Rabbit never trusts a snake. The end.'' Wu finished, closing the book.
''Oh, if my dad had read me that book, I would never have made that mistake. I'm sorry, uncle.'' Lloyd replied, looking at Wu.
''Oh, you do not need to apologize. I am sure that if your father was still here, it would be the first book he'd read. Goodnight, nephew. Sweet dreams.'' Wu reassured the boy.
''Ah, goodnight, uncle,'' Lloyd said, closing his eyes.
(Y/n) looked at the boys, who were crowded around the door.
As Wu walked out of the room, the Ninja disappeared, going onto the deck. When Wu came, the ninja surrounded him, full of questions.
''I don't get it, Sensei.'' Kai voiced his thoughts.
''Why isn't the little brat getting punished?'' Jay asked.
''Yeah, we had to train all day and he gets read a bedtime story? It's not fair.'' Cole added.
''Hmm, you're right, I nearly forgot. Why are you not still training? Did you find the answer to the riddle?'' Wu asked them.
Kai sighed. ''No, Sensei. We still don't know what the best way to defeat your enemy is.'' He answered.
The ninja slowly walked away, lowering their heads.
''It is to make them your friend,'' Wu answered.
He then walked away.
(Y/n) came onto the deck, crawling. ''If you dare hurt Lloyd, there'll be more than one bone to fix... And trust me, there's plenty to break.''
The ninja gulped.
''But you should go to bed, it's going to be a great day tomorrow.'' She said with a knowing smirk.
Jay, Cole and Zane left, leaving Kai.
He looked down at her, seeing her start to fall asleep. Kai sighed, attempting to lift her gently. Her arm dangled, and he quietly walked to her room, passing Lloyd, who was peacefully asleep.
Going into her room, he put her down on her bed, pulling the blanket over her. She yawned, fully closing her tired eyes. Kai stood there for a moment, looking at her. Crouching down and leaning forward, he hesitated, before brushing the hair covering her face away.
Backing out of the room, he looked at her one last time. 'So peaceful.' He thought, slowly closing the door and walking away.
---
(Y/n) woke, before seeing Lloyd.
''Boo.'' He said with a grin.
She blinked. ''Why are you in my bedroom?'' (Y/n) asked.
''Master Wu wanted me to prank the others, and I may need your help...'' He replied with a mischievous smirk.
(Y/n) grinned. ''Sure.''
---
''Okay, everything?''
''Check.''
''Good.'' (Y/n) replied, laying down on her bed. ''Now we wait for the sweet sound of revenge.''
''Hold on, I need to do something,'' Lloyd said, rushing out of the room.
She grinned as she heard the boys yell out accusingly the wrong person's name.
Lloyd came back. ''Showtime.''
(Y/n) nodded, and Nya appeared, helping her get to the boy's bedroom.
''You couldn't just be happy with the top score. You had to rub it in my face!'' Kai said to Cole, annoyed.
''Do you know how long it took me to make that? Three days. Three days!'' Cole exclaimed, talking to Jay.
''It's an unsaid law, okay? You don't touch a man's robot!'' Jay spoke to Zane, annoyed.
''How am I supposed to strike fear in this?'' Zane asked, showing Kai his now pink ninja gi. ''It's pink!''
Wu stepped aside, revealing Lloyd, holding everything used to cause the chaos.
The boys gasped. ''You did this?!'' They exclaimed.
''Boys, I get first dibs on...'' Cole said, walking up to Lloyd. (Y/n) appeared, on the ground holding a stick.
''Nope, not today Mister earth.'' (Y/n) said, pointing the stick at him. She then pointed the stick at the others. ''Just a reminder: Don't. You. Dare. Hurt. Lloyd. Understand?'' She asked. The boys nodded, gulping. ''Good.''
''I put him up to this for today's lesson. I wanted to show you the destructive power of rumours and that jumping to conclusions can only lead to trouble.'' The old man told the boys. ''Did you ever think to find out if the accusations were true?' Wu asked them.
''Uh, no offence, Sensei, but let me jump to this conclusion: today's lesson is lame,'' Cole said.
''Yeah, why can't you just teach us to paralyse your enemy with one finger or find out if a man is lying by the twitch of his nose?'' Jay asked.
''Because not all lessons are about fighting. And I misplaced my lesson book.'' He announced.
Kai looked at Lloyd, seeing Wu's lesson book sticking out of his pocket. He swiped it, giving it to Wu. ''You mean this lesson book?'' He asked.
''It was the perfect plan until you have to show up and mess everything up-'' Lloyd said but was cut off by Cole closing the door on him.
''If you're done fooling around, I could use you guys on the bridge. We do still have a problem to attend to. Over and out!'' Nya announced over the speakers.
''It's one thing to let the son of your nemesis live with you. But having my sister here? And (Y/n), who can't do anything to help, no offence-'' He said, looking at her.
(Y/n) crossed her arms. ''Oh, thanks...'' She replied, voice dripping with sarcasm. ''Have good dreams tonight, Kai, you'll find a snake in your bed...'' She muttered the last part.
''I mean, come on! I thought this was a Ninja headquarters.'' He finished.
''You do know I can hear you. . . Over and out!'' Nya said, making (Y/n) laugh. The ninja then went to the bridge, with (Y/n) going back to bed to regain lost time of sleep.
