Got phantom feelings I can never stop

Stranger things to worry 'bout I know

But I'm so scared that I'll end up

I'll end up, I'll end up alone

---

The Fire Ninja grunted as he tried to reach the flag, but to no avail.

''Seriously!'' Kai shouted, trying again but missing in the process.

Ronin was laying down next to the flag. ''Aww, just short. Like your temper, Kai.'' He taunted.

''Let me try. I'm for sure better Airjitzuer than you, Kai.'' Motormouth told the Hair Gelled Ninja.

''Oh, yeah? And when did that happen?'' The Fire Ninja asked.

''Like, now!'' Jay exclaimed, using his Airjitzu to fly into the air, missing the flag and screaming as he fell down.

''Oh, yeah. That was so much better than me.'' Kai replied sarcastically, crossing his arms and smirking at him.

''It...it was.'' Motormouth stuttered.

''That wasn't Airjitzu, that was Failitzu.'' The Thieving Bounty Hunter replied.

''Or Stupiditzu.'' The Hair Gelled Ninja added.

''To master the powers of Airjitzu, we must uplift, not put each other down, Ronin,'' Wu told the Sneaky Thief and Hair Gell Head.

Ronin took a bite out of his red apple. ''You close shop for a week, you gotta let me have some fun. Aren't Nindroids supposed to be precise?''

The Fire Ninja sighed. ''These new suits are heavy. Why can't we just use our old ones?'' He asked the old master.

''These are embedded with Deepstone. They will protect you from being possessed.'' Wu replied.

''Yeah, well, maybe the name "Airjitzu" isn't uplifting enough. Maybe we need something more inspiring, like...Cyclondo!'' Jay exclaimed, using Cyclondo to fly above the flag.

''Miss. Again.'' Ronin taunted, and Jay snatched his apple out of his grasp. ''Hey!''

The Lightning Ninja laughed. ''Cyclondo.'' He then took a bite out of the apple. ''Mm.''

Cole sat alone, on his bed and staring at the floor. (Y/n) appeared in the doorway, and tried to knock on the door to gain his attention, only for her fist to phase through the wood.

She sighed, and walked in, with Remo slithering as he followed. The little snake already missed being on her shoulders, as he didn't feel as insignificant as he could be seen clearly if he wanted to be.

''Hey.'' (Y/n) spoke, catching the fellow ghost ninja's attention. ''What do you do when the chips are down?'' She asked with a smile.

''I don't know,'' Cole mumbled, turning his face away from her. (Y/n) sat down next to him.

''Go eat some chips.'' The Master of Illusion answered, but her smile faded away as soon as she saw Cole was still his miserable self.

''Look, I appreciate you trying to help, but this is who I am now.'' The Earth Ninja replied.

''I know how you're feeling, we're going through the same thing. I could say ''It's going to get better.'' But that'll seem like a lie, so, how about we get through this together?'' (Y/n) asked him, putting a hand on his back, which surprisingly didn't phase through him.

The Earth Ninja turned to her in surprise, his eyes wide. ''How'd you...?''

''I'm a ghost.'' (Y/n) told him with a wink. ''You're one too if you didn't notice.''

Cole pulled her into a hug, resting his head on her shoulder. ''Thank you, (Y/n). For being here.'' He whispered the last part, but (Y/n) heard, and smiled.

Kai walked past the two who were hugging, and instead of feeling jealousy he felt the need to walk away, to give them time to each other, as they had both turned into ghosts.

The ninja gathered in the briefing room.

''Now that both Morro and you have Airjitzu, it's time to turn our attention to the second clue, the Sword in the Cloud,'' Misako told them, standing behind a projector.

''Me senses tell me it could be many a swords. Thar be the Fire Sword, the Sword of Destiny, the Golden Cutlass...'' Zane said in a pirate accent.

''I thought you said you fixed his voice?'' The Fire Ninja asked Jay.

''I did. And then I made it better.'' Motormouth answered, looking over at the rated ARGGH nindroid.

''...the Sword of Invisibility, the Sword of Invincibility...'' Zane continued.

Kai snickered. ''You're right, he is better.'' The Fire Ninja replied, and the two attempted to stifle their laughter as Zane continued.

''...the Blade of Ruin.'' Zane finished.

''Aye, Zane,'' Misako replied. ''And to add to your colorful account, there are many more swords, but it wasn't until Morro and his allies commandeered Nya's Samurai Mech that it all became clear. It's the Sword of Sanctuary, protected in the Cloud Kingdom.'''

''Heh, Cloud Kingdom? I know every square inch of Ninjago. There ain't no place called the "Cloud Kingdom."'' The Sneaky Thief told her.

''You're right, it isn't in Ninjago. It's in a parallel Realm that can only be reached through the Blind Man's Eye.'' Wu replied.

''The Blind Man's Eye?'' Nya asked. ''You mean the powerful storm cyclone above the clouds? But its altitude is far too high for the Bounty to reach.''

''Unless we ascend the tallest mountain in Ninjago. The Wailing Alps.'' Misako told her.

''Yes, the Wailing Alps. When the Blind Man's Eye passes its peak, you five Ninja will jump into the eye of the storm using Airjitzu to cross over into Cloud Kingdom to take possession of the Sword of Sanctuary.'' The Old Tea Obsessed dude informed.

''Whoa, whoa, Sensei, you're throwing around some big words here, but I think you got one wrong. It's Cyclondo, not Airjitzu.'' Jay replied, and the others groaned, with Zane and Kai grabbing his arms before leaving him alone to think about what he just said.

''So this Sword of Sanctuary that we're after, what makes it so special?'' Cole questioned.

''It's special because reflected within its blade, you can foresee your next opponent's next move,'' Wu answered.

''And whoever gets it will have a huge advantage,'' Misako added. ''Lights please.'' Nya then turned the lights on. ''This is about more than finding the next clue to the Spinjitzu Master's Tomb. This is about saving my son. You cannot fail.''

''Then let's gear up. We have one big mountain to climb.'' Kai told the others.

The Destiny's Bounty flew towards the mountain, while the ninja stood out on the deck, looking at the snow-capped mountain.

The Lightning Ninja shivered. ''It's getting really cold.''

''Freezing if you ask me,'' Kai replied.

''The cold never bothered me anyway.'' (Y/n) spoke, and Jay stifled a laugh.

''Hey, we need you down below.'' The Water Ninja said.

''Without your mechs, you'll never be able to survive the extreme conditions on your own. I've also installed headsets into your hoods for easy communication. Try it out.'' Nya told them, as they were now in their mechs.

Jay cleared his throat. ''Tell me, Zane, how tall is this mountain?''

''The precise elevation of the Wailing Alps be well over three leagues and twenty-eight fathoms,'' Zane replied in his pirate accent.

The Lightning snickered. ''Zane's so much cooler.'' He told Kai.

''Remember, once you get to the peak, you'll only have one shot to shoot the Blind Man's Eye. Don't miss.'' Ronin reminded them.

The Earth Ninja sighed. ''I don't know, guys, you had time to practice. Maybe I should sit this one out.'' Cole replied.

''Don't even think about it. You may be a Ghost, but you're still part of the team.'' Kai told him, and (Y/n) nodded in agreement.

''And if it weren't for you getting the first clue, we wouldn't even be here,'' Jay added.

''So what are you gonna do, Cole? Are you in, or out?'' Nya asked.

''Open the hangar doors.'' Cake Devourer answered.

''Opening hangar doors!'' Ronin shouted, pulling the lever down, and alarms blared as the hangar doors opened.

''Whoo-hoo! Haha. Is anyone else getting a tingling feeling?'' The Lightning Ninja asked the others.

''Yeah. Frostbite.'' Kai replied.

''Drop 'em!'' Ronin shouted, and Nya pressed the green button.

''Ninja, snow!'' The boys cheered as they fell. Unfortunately, (Y/n)'s and Cole's mechs fell into the snow.

''Cole, (Y/n), are you okay?'' Kai asked the two as the others helped them up.

The Earth Ninja groaned. ''Gotta work on that landing. Hey, you sure you want me along? I can hardly control my new body, let alone this piece of metal.'' He told the others.

''Hey, we all have our bad days. We'll pick you up so next time you can return the favour.'' Jay replied with a smile.

''Jay be right. The only way we're gettin' up ye mountain is if we be a hardy crew.'' Zane added.

''This isn't about who's a Ninja, a Nindroid, Kitsune or even a Ghost. Above all else, we're brothers. And as iron sharpens iron, brother sharpens brother.'' Kai told him.

''All right, brothers. Let's do this.'' Cole replied, now filled with determination.

(Y/n) looked up at the top of the mountain while climbing. She began singing quietly under her breath, the others heard and smiled as they listened to the girl with Jay humming along.

''Heh. Not so bad when you get the hang of it.'' The Earth Ninja told the others.

''So this Sword of Sanctuary. You really think you can see all of your opponents' attacks?'' Jay asked the others. ''If we had that kind of power, not even Morro could stop us.''

''But if Morro got his hands on it, nothing would stop him, which is why we cannot fail. We just have to keep climbing. Ugh, Zane. How much further is it to the top?'' The Fire Ninja asked, impatient.

''Thar be a long way. At least a hundred thousand steps up.'' The rated ARGGH nindroid answered.

''A hundred thousand? Good thing I'm not counting.

''267, 268, 269, 70, 71, 72, 72—oh, look, a little goat!'' Motormouth counted, stopping to see a walliper.

''That's not a goat. Don't you remember? We ride one of those.'' Kai told him.

''It's got horns. It's a goat.'' Jay replied.

''Even giraffes have horns. And that's not a goat. It's a yak.'' Kai argued.

''A yak? No way. Maybe it's a cow.'' The Lightning Ninja told him.

''Don't have a cow...'' (Y/n) spoke.

''I'm about to have a cow.'' The Fire Ninja replied.

Spotting some imprints in the snow, Zane stopped. ''Arr, look! Tracks!'' He told the others.

''Maybe another yak?'' Kai asked.

''Or a cow!'' Jay added.

''These tracks are fresh, Zane. Be careful.'' Pixal informed him.

''Pixal has analyzed ye tracks. We not be the first ones to climb this pass today.'' Zane told the others.

''You think it was Morro?'' The Fire Ninja questioned.

''Who else is crazy enough to be at this altitude?'' The Lightning Ninja asked. ''If he's ahead of us, we're bound to cross paths.''

(Y/n) perked he ears, hearing something coming. Soon, the others heard it, a wailing sound, and the snowflakes soon turned into a blizzard.

''What's that sound?'' The Earth Ninja asked.

''Wind gust! Anchor down!'' Zane answered, and everyone grabbed onto the ground, but the gusts of wind were too strong.

''Hold on, everyone!'' Kai shouted.

Soon, the ninja tumbled into each other, with Cole at the bottom. ''I can't hold on!'' The Earth Ninja shouted, and soon Zane used his mech to deploy a grappling hook, catching him before he could fall off the mountain. ''That was close. I owe you one.''

''Come on, there's still a lot of mountain to go.'' Kai told them.

Morro watched the ninja. ''So they are following us.''

''We're too far ahead. They'll never catch us.'' Soul Archer replied.

''What is it, Morro?'' Bansha asked him.

''Lloyd's spirit continues to fight my possession. He's getting stronger.'' The Master of Wind told her.

''Bah! You have already lost the Allied Armor, we cannot fail to secure the Sword of Sanctuary.'' The Banshee ghost replied.

''We could go faster if you abandon Lloyd's body. These winds don't affect us Ghosts.'' Soul Archer told him.

''Our master would want us to—'' Bansha started.

''The Preeminent is not here, I am.'' Morro interrupted. ''And need I remind you only a Spinjitzu Master can find the tomb? If I leave Lloyd's body now, the Sword would be useless. Our master sent me to find the tomb, so until she's freed, you serve me. Understand?''

''Yes, Morro.'' The rest of the ghost crew answered.

''At least let me slow them down. You summoned us for a reason.'' Bansha told him.

''Very well. Send them a message. Something they'll hear loud and clear.'' The Spooky Wind Master replied.

Bansha then went closer to the edge, floating. She then opened her mouth, and a loud screeching sound was heard, disturbing the piled up snow.

''Now what's that sound?'' The Lightning Ninja asked.

''Another gust?'' Cole questioned.

A fury of snow and ice appeared, storming down the slope in which the ninja's mechs were on.

''Worse. Avalanche!'' The Fire Ninja shouted, and they turned and ran. ''Here it comes! Hold on!'' Kai yelled.

The avalanche caught up to them, catching them in its furious icy grasp.

''I can't control my mech!'' Cole shouted.

''Neither can I!'' (Y/n) yelled.

''Me either,'' Jay added.

''The avalanche is too strong,'' Kai shouted.

''No!'' Jay screamed, his mech hitting a boulder and breaking it. Jay landed on a broken-off piece of the mech and used it as a sled.

''Jay, take my hand!'' The ghostly Earth Ninja told him.

The Lightning Ninja attempted to grab his hand but passed through it. ''Concentrate, Cole!''

Kai jumped his mech, grabbing a tree branch. ''I got it. Hey, guys, I—whoa!'' He said as the branch broke, and he landed on Jay's makeshift sled.

''Blimey, I'm trapped,'' Zane said.

(Y/n) was surfing on her mech, a big smile on her face. ''Woohoo!'' That was when she saw the cliff edge. ''Oh, not again!''

''What do I do? What do I do? What do you do, Cole? You don't give up.'' The Master of Earth told himself, before seeing a giant rolling snowball. He dove into the snow, and the snowball glowed green at the centre. He stopped at the cliff edge, turning into a sort of snow golem. He then grabbed the others before they could fall off.

''Whoa, Cole, is that you?'' Jay asked, looking at him.

''Just picking you up to return the favour.'' Cole the Snow Golem answered. He then placed them on solid ground, making them yell.

''You possessed the snow,'' Kai said as the snow golem crumbled into a pile of snow.

''Yeah, I guess I did.'' The Earth Ninja replied, looking at his hands.

''Haha! First, we get Cyclondo, then we get a ghost on our side! Wait, not just one, but two!'' The Lightning Ninja exclaimed.

'' 'Tis good to see you smile,'' Zane told Cole. (Y/n) nodded in agreement.

''All right, so we're down four Mechs, but we're up in spirit. Still. How are we gonna catch up?'' The Fire Ninja asked the others. ''We lost a lot of ground.''

''How about we see what else I can do?'' The Earth Ninja asked, possessing Zane's mech and started to climb the mountain.

''Whoo-hoo!'' Jay whooped.

''It's like your possession has given his mech boo-sters.'' The Fire Ninja told the Earth Ninja.

''Boo-sters? That some sorta Ghost joke?'' Cole asked.

''I can see right through that one.'' (Y/n) replied, chuckling.

''Haha, glad to see your sense of humour hasn't changed. Whoa, Cole, you've transformed it into a spider mech.'' The Fire Ninja told him as they climbed a rock wall.

''You know, this Ghost thing isn't that bad after all.'' The ghostly Earth Ninja replied.

''Ah. The Hanging Temple. We're not far.'' Kai said as they approached a place on the face of the cliff.

Soul Archer fired an arrow at the group. ''Incoming!'' Jay warned.

Kai got hit, lying down.

''Kai!'' Zane and Jay shouted.

''No! No, no, no.'' The Lightning Ninja said, panicking.

The Fire Ninja got up, unharmed. ''The armour really works. I didn't turn into a Ghost.''

Goultar used the Mech-enstein's grappling hook to grab the Titan Mech and Morro ran away.

''Morro's getting away!'' The Earth Ninja shouted.

''And you're not!'' Bansha replied, screeching and making the icicles fall, almost impaling the ninja, except for (Y/n), who had one go through her foot.

Fortunately, the girl was a ghost, and she looked down at it. ''Oh look at that, I've been impaled.''

''Who's ready for some exorcise?'' Kai asked, holding his Aeroblade. '''Cause we're about to do some exorcism.''

''Now that is a Ghost joke,'' Cole replied.

''Ghoultar chop!'' Goultar said, and the rated ARGGHH nindroid attacked him with his mech.

''The Blind Man's Eye! We can't let Morro jump through it without us!'' The Ghostly Earth Ninja told the others.

Kai dueled with Bansha. ''Don't think we're not trying!''

Jay ran but skidded to a stop as an arrow landed in front of him. ''Somebody almost got shot here. Where's the archer?''

''On the rooftop!'' Cole answered.

The Lightning Ninja threw his Aeroblade at the ghost, but Soul Archer dodged.

Bansha pushed Kai back, and the wooden planks beneath him began to break.

''Kai, think fast!'' Cole exclaimed, throwing his Aeroblade above the Fire Ninja for him to hold onto.

Kai sighed and jumped to a platform before Bansha could attack him. ''We have to figure out how to get rid of these windbags before it's too late!''

The wind started to wail again, bringing with it a gust.

''Oh, speaking of wind. Anchor down!'' Jay told the others, and they dug their Aeroblades into the wood, and Zane used his mech, but the ninja almost fall off again. ''Now I feel like a windbag!''

Morro struggled to keep his footing as he tried to control the wind, almost at the top. ''Stop it! It's me that controls the wind!'' He shouted, grunting. ''Stop!'' He commanded, and the wind did his bidding, stopping. ''That's better.''

''I wanna get off this stupid mountain. I hate heights.'' Cole told the others.

''Come on, Zane. Get this tin can back on its feet.'' Jay urged the nindroid.

''Aye, aye, gonna do it,'' Zane replied, getting back up onto the wooden platform. Goultar grabbed the nindroid's mech and shook the ninja off, except for Zane.

''Now where did the archer go?'' Jay questioned.

''Behind you,'' Kai answered.

''Uh-oh!'' Cole said as he jumped into a snow pile.

Jay dodged Soul Archer's arrow, throwing his Aeroblade at the archer-skilled ghost. ''Haha, I got him! I got him!'' He exclaimed, before seeing his Aeroblade fail to return. ''Aww. And I lost it.''

''Come on, we have to get outta here!'' Kai told the others as they ran, while Zane and Ghoultar fought.

''They're getting away!'' Bansha told Soul Archer.

''We'll see about that.'' The Bow-skilled ghost replied, firing an arrow at the bridge, hitting it and making it a spooky ghost bridge. The ninja screamed as they ran, seeing the bridge become foggy green and transparent.

''Come on. There's no time to lose.'' Kai told the others.

The Master of Wind climbed, hanging onto an icicle as he did so. Morro then looked down to see the ninja, before noticing one particular person. ''(Y/n)'s a ghost?!''

The Lightning Ninja spotted Morro. ''Ah! There he is! We're still in this race.'' He said, and they jumped onto separate icicles. The Master of Wind kicked an icicle, and they used their Aeroblades as shields.

''We can do this. We're almost there!'' Kai urged the others.

''Aah!'' Jay screamed, but (Y/n) caught him in time.

''Concentrate. We got this.'' Cole told him.

Jay found his Aeroblade embedded in ice. ''Hey! I knew it'd come back to me!''

''We're gonna miss the Blind Man's Eye!'' The Fire Ninja shouted.

''Oh, no. All this way for nothing.'' The Lightning Ninja replied.

The wind started wailing again.

''We'll never make it in time!'' Zane told the others.

''We will if we do one thing,'' Kai said.

''Cyclondo!'' Jay exclaimed.

''But I've never practised it. What if I don't make it? What if I just blow off the mountain?'' cole asked the others, scared.

''Don't worry. We'll catch you. Just trust us.'' Kai told him and jumped off his icicle, successfully doing Airjitzu/Cyclondo. ''I did it! I did Airjitzu! Now you try!'' He said, and Zane and Jay used Airjitzu/Cyclondo.

''Now it's your turn! I made it! I Cyclondoed!'' Jay exclaimed.

''Yar! What about Cole?'' The Rated ARGGH nindroid asked.

''You can do it, Cole. We'll catch you. Remember, brother, sharpens brother.'' Kai reminded him.

(Y/n) looked over at the Earth Ninja, a determined look in her eyes.

''The only thing sharp here is this icicle that I'm holding on to.'' The Ghostly Master of Earth replied, whimpering when he almost slipped off the icicle.

''Come on, Cole! You're the strong one! Even Jay can do it!'' Kai urged him.

''Oh, thank you very much, Fire boy.'' Jay replied sarcastically.

''Cole, just jump.'' The Fire Ninja told him.

''What if I can't grab hold of your hand? I'll fall and die!'' Cole shouted.

''No, you won't. You're a Ghost, and Ghosts can't die.'' Kai replied.

''Don't look down.'' (Y/n) said. ''Look at me.'' The Earth Ninja turned his eyes to her. ''If you fall, I'll catch you.''

''But you need to hold onto the icicle! I can't do that to you!'' Cole told her.

The Master of Illusion raised an eyebrow. ''If Airjitzu doesn't work, I can use my powers, we're close to Morro.''

Cole nodded, reassured. ''Ghosts can't die. Ghosts can't die. I'll do it!'' He replied, letting go of the icicle and doing Airjitzu. (Y/n) followed, poking her tongue out at Morro as she flew past.

The two ghost ninja landed on the others, making them grunt.

''Oh! We did it!'' Jay exclaimed.

''Look! The Blind Man's Eye!'' The Fire Ninja said, pointing at it.

''We've got one shot,'' Zane said.

''And we're not throwing away our one shot.'' (Y/n) replied.

''Brother sharpens brother,'' Cole told the others.

''Cycondo!'' Jay exclaimed, and they flew into the storm, which started to drift away while Morro watched.

''No. No!'' Morro screamed.
