''We've been digging for so long, I think I forgot what we're looking for!'' Cole told Kai as they dug through the junk pile.

''A jiggly compact compress converter. Or was it a compress compact jiggly converter? Whatever it is, if it can get us back to New Ninjago City any sooner, it's worth finding.'' Kai pulled the thing he was holding out of the pile, making it collapse and piles of junk crushed them both, making them scream.

''We shut off the power thinking we could just waltz in but no. We didn't stop to think we were a bajillion miles away. Hey! A compact converted jiggly compressor!'' Jay exclaimed, holding it up so Ed could see it.

''Ah! Great find, kiddo. Now all we need to adapt that Hover-Copter's power supply to solar power is an upside-down rotter derottermabob and a whiz-bang automated amplifier!'' Ed told his (adopted) son.

Hearing this as they finished climbing the junk pile that Ed and Jay were on, Kai and Cole sighed.

''I'm starting to think they're just making this stuff up,'' Kai told Cole.

Inside the caravan, they were fixing up Pixal. (Y/n) had decided to use her lightning powers to help power Pixal and was trying to explain how it worked.

''So how does it work?'' Nya asked the girl.

''Well,'' (Y/n) started, scratching her nape. ''It's sort of like an eternal flame, except that it's electricity, it should power her until we defeat the Overlord.''

''I thought that only happens in books?'' Edna asked, making (Y/n) chuckle.

''Maybe it happens in dreams, you never know.'' (Y/n) replied, before turning to Pixal. ''Alright, let's do this.''

She let the electricity dance on her fingertips before slowly bringing them forward towards the female android. Sparks of electricity surrounded Pixal, before disappearing. Her eyes lit up, green.

''What happened?'' Pixal asked, looking around confused.

''There was a blackout, you were dependant on the Ninjago-wide electricity source, so when it powered down, so did you, as well as the Overlord's nindroids.'' (Y/n) explained.

''Then why do you need me?'' The female android asked, still confused.

''You are the only one who knows Borg's system. You are vital to the mission.'' Zane explained. (Y/n) looked at him and smiled, and he smiled back.

''Ooh, Love. Call me a sucker, but if they have half of what you and Jay have—'' Edna said, noticing the two holding hands but was interrupted by Pixal.

''Nya and Jay? Judging from Perfect Match compatibility, perhaps Nya and Cole would be a closer comparison.'' Pixal told Jay's mother. Nya's mouth was wide in shock.

''Nya and Cole are a better match?'' Edna asked.

''Don't you mean Jay? Perhaps her processor was damaged.'' Zane told the others.

''My processor is fully operational. The Perfect Match for Nya isn't Jay, but Cole.'' Pixal announced.

''Cole's her perfect match?'' Jay asked, appearing with Ed.

''Jay. . . .'' Nya said, walking towards him and reaching for his hand. He faced the floor, while (Y/n) looked at Remo, who was nibbling on a small ham sandwich.

Kai and Cole entered the room, unaware of what was happening.

''Ha, it's so quiet in here. What did I miss? Another signature Jay Walker gut buster?'' Cole asked the others.

''Oh, you backstabbing, no good . . . YAAAHH!!'' Jay shouted, turning around and leaping at Cole. Remo disappeared, as he disliked seeing the others fighting each other.

''What's wrong with you?'' Cole asked, as the two fought.

Kai sighed. ''I hope Lloyd is faring better than us.''

''Oh, you know why you're the Black Ninja? 'Cause it's the colour of your heart!'' The Lightning Ninja told the Earth Ninja, pushing him back.

''Oh yeah? Well, what's the point in being a Blue Ninja? Unless you're trying to hide out for some goofy clown college!'' Cole retorted, pointing at Jay.

(Y/n) heard whirring from outside. ''Uh guys?'' She tried to speak, but the two boys were too busy to hear her. The others just watched as they tussled.

''Ooh! You take that back! There are some reputable performers that attend clown college!'' Jay replied, grabbing Cole's cheek and pulling it.

''I don't see why you want to settle this arm wrestling. You know I have super strength!'' The Earth Ninja told him, on top of Jay and staring him down.

''Oh yeah? Well, I'm super hooped! And I haven't brushed my teeth in a week!'' Jay said, with (Y/n) and Zane holding his shoulders. He then breathed on Cole, making him recoil in disgust.

Cole did the same, and the two tried to make the other one back out. (Y/n) sighed.

''This macho stuff is making you both look like fools. Maybe you belong together!'' Nya told the fighting pair, and the group felt something grab the caravan.

''What was that?'' Kai asked the others.

''The machines haven't worked since the outage. What's powering it?'' Ed asked, opening the door to see the crane being operated.

''Nindroids! Better question is, what's powering them?'' Kai asked, seeing a nindroid in the driver's seat.

The nindroid operating the crane made the caravan swing around, the speed of it forcing them against the floor.

''They're after the Techno Blades,'' Pixal answered.

Red lasers aimed at them hit the caravan, making holes appear in the metal, and one laser nearly hit Edna.

''Yeah, well they nearly hit my mother!'' Jay replied, pointing at her.

''Ooh don't worry about us, sweetie. We prepare for every type of situation.'' Edna reassured her son, wearing a sort of jetpack on her back.

''Did you make one for me?'' Jay asked.

''Uh, sorry, honey. You hardly ever come to visit.'' His mother apologised.

''Yeah, good luck, kiddo. And watch over the junk while we're gone, will you?'' Ed said before the two disappeared in a cloud of bubbles.

''I blame you for this!'' Jay told Cole.

''What did I do? You were the one who wanted to stay in a scrapheap full of Nindroids!'' The Earth Ninja replied, glaring at Jay.

''Enough, you two! We may not have our Elemental Powers, but we still have our Spinjitzu!'' The Fire Ninja told the others. ''Are you gonna be okay?'' He asked Pixal.

''Yeah, of course, I'm fine.'' (Y/n) muttered under her breath.

''I may not be built to fight, but my protective reflexes should suffice,'' Pixal answered.

''Great! Cause you're gonna need 'em!'' Nya replied.

''Ninja, Go!'' They shouted, jumping out of the hole and landing on the crane.

Pixal hadn't been able to leap onto the crane, like the other ninja, so Zane and (Y/n) jumped down to help her as Cryptor began shooting lasers at the trio.

''We have to help them!'' The Lightning Ninja told the Earth Ninja.

''Finally, something we agree on!'' Cole replied, and the two jumped down from the crane before Techno Wu caused them to fall into a junk compactor.

''Woah!'' The two shouted before landing on the floor.

''We're trapped!'' Cole said, looking up, as there was no way out.

''And with my own worst enemy!'' Jay retorted, and the walls started to close in on them. ''I'm too cute to be squashed!''

''Hey, someone stop this thing!'' Cole shouted, trying to gain someone's attention.

Nya was beating up Min-Droid. ''Bad Nindroid, bad Nindroid!''

''They're trapped!'' Kai said, running over to the junk compactor. He looked down at the two, who were screaming.

Kai looked on his left, seeing Tech Wu standing over him. ''Sensei, what have they done to you?'' He asked.

''Yaahh!'' Tech Wu shouted, using his staff to hit Kai in the face. He then kicked the Fire Ninja away from the junk compactor.

Kai screamed before landing on a rock supporting the junk pile. He looked over at his sister while Tech Wu ran at him. ''Nya, you have to stop the junk compactor.'' The Fire Ninja said before his sensei used his modified staff to hit him to the side.

''I'm on it!'' Nya replied, running forward. ''Oh, no!'' She said, looking down at the two who were were too close to each other for comfort.

''Someone stop this thing!'' Cole shouted, and the Samurai Girl noticed a control panel. She ran over to it, and pressed some buttons, trying to get it to stop.

''I can't override it!'' Nya told the two.

''Well you'd better because if you don't, Cole and I are gonna get real close. You said we belong together, but not permanently!'' Jay replied.

''I'm not strong enough!'' Cole said.

Nya used her fist to break the glass. ''Seriously? A blue or black wire. I have to cut one of these wires to shut it down but cut the wrong one and it may crush you guys instantly!'' Nya told them, grabbing a sharp shard of glass.

''Ooh, choose blue, Nya! You know blue! You're comfortable with blue!'' Jay shouted, trying to convince her.

''Choose black! Black is not blue!'' Cole told her.

''Oh, I'm gonna turn you black and blue!'' Jay said, trying to reach Cole with his hand.

''No time for that!'' The Earth Ninja replied.

''I thought you were supposed to be strong.'' The Lightning Ninja said, looking at the Earth Ninja.

''And I thought we were a team,'' Cole said.

''Black or blue? Uh, why is it so hard to choose?'' Nya asked herself.

''Just cut one already!!!'' Jay screamed.

Zane used his Techno Blade to defend Pixal and (Y/n), before Cryptor shot a laser that knocked him off his feet.

Min-Droid drove the crane, pushing the lever to pick Zane up using the magnet.

''Zane!'' Pixal shouted, and (Y/n) looked for a way to help.

''Hahaha!'' Cryptor laughed, throwing a few electro-cobrai onto the nindroids.

The nindroids joined in his laughing, and they looked at the two that faced them.

''Guys? A little help?'' Kai asked as he fought his sensei, blocking Wu's staff with his Techno Blade, then Wu used his staff to hit him into a pile of junk.

''Yaahh!!!'' Tech Wu shouted, and Kai rolled out of the way, sparks of electricity going into the jet that was behind Kai and making it fly upwards. While Kai was distracted, Tech Wu hit him again.

''Junk him,'' Cryptor ordered Min-Droid, dangling the original nindroid over a junk crusher.

''No!'' (Y/n) shouted, jumping to the Ice Ninja and tackling him out of the way, and the two landed safely on the other side.

Looking down at her, he blushed and quickly got off her.

''Hahaha! He needs a little girl to protect him?'' Cryptor asked. The nindroids then circled around the two.

Zane and (Y/n) stood back to back each other, facing them. Their enemy came forward, and soon the two were kicking them away, somehow their moves in sync.

''I take back everything I said!'' Jay admitted, shouting.

''No, you were right. I could have been a better friend. I had no clue!'' Cole told him.

''Black or blue?'' Nya asked herself, before having enough and using the shard of glass to cut both wires, saving them both.

After Tech Wu was picked up by the giant magnet, a Hooded Stranger had appeared, saving the modified Sensei. The two then got away in a hover copter.

They then found a white scale, which was supposedly left behind by the Hooded Stranger who had saved Tech Wu.

''What is it?'' Cole asked.

''It's obviously a clue, dirt clod,'' Jay replied.

''I know it's a clue, zap trap. But it's so small, I just want to know what—'' Cole replied, turning to Jay to face him.

''Stop it, you two. P.I.X.A.L., can you analyze it?'' Nya asked her, pushing the two away from each other and walking towards the female android.

''The sample is far too small, but given time, I should have an answer.'' The female android answered.

Remo appeared, the others looking at him and then at the scale. ''Do I look like I have white scales?'' He asked them. Cole was about to reply but Jay shot him a dirty look.

''Then we should waste no more time and get back to the city. I'll use my Falcon Vision to warn Lloyd of our findings.'' Zane told her.

'Is that the best idea?' Morro asked in (Y/n)'s mind. 'There's a certain risk with that.'

''I thought taking the power out would give us the upper hand, but now that they have it and we don't. I guess the power has only shifted.'' Nya replied.

''Don't worry, sis, we'll get Sensei back,'' Kai reassured her.

Jay was sitting alone on a small pile of junk, fiddling with a piece of scrap metal. A tear slid down his cheek, before another and then it became a waterfall, splashing in a small puddle of tears.

(Y/n) noticed him crying and walked over, sitting down next to the Lightning Ninja. He turned his head, seeing the girl, who was drawing something in the sand.

Once she was finished, he saw that she had drawn him in the sand, with the brightest smile on his face contrary to his current mood.

Jay didn't know what to say, and as his tears stopped falling, she looked at him. ''Are you okay?'' She asked. He hesitated, glancing at the drawing of him. Swallowing the lump in his throat, he then slowly nodded.

(Y/n) looked at him for a moment before he threw himself at her, hugging her tightly. She hugged back, and the two stood there, silent and just letting everything else melt away.

Meanwhile, Morro was feeling like a third wheel, jealous of the Lightning Ninja.

But one day, he would be in Jay's place, and there would be nothing the ninja could do. He just didn't know yet.
