As more people run to the woman's aid, the man draws a gun and starts shooting people. Elizabeth draws her gun and starts running towards the man. 'Chicago P.D! Release the woman!' The man points his gun at Elizabeth.

The man is shot in the shoulder. He releases the woman and falls to the floor. The woman runs to Elizabeth.

'Get behind me.' Elizabeth tells the woman who does as she's told. Elizabeth looks to her right and sees Jay slowly walking towards the man, ordering him to stay down. Elizabeth lowers her gun and puts in back in her holster before turning to face the woman. 'M'am, are you okay?' 

'I am now.' The woman nods. 'He killed people.' The woman says, looking around at the lifeless bodies on the floor. 'This is all my fault.' 

'No,' Elizabeth shakes her head, 'none of this is your fault,' she adds, 'I want you to stay here until an ambulance and my colleagues get here. They'll want to speak to you and you need to get checked over.' Ambulances and police cars swarm the park. Patrol officers start moving people out of the park to cordon it off. 

'Liza?' Elizabeth hears Mouse's voice. 

'Give me a minute.' Elizabeth tells the woman. The woman nods and Elizabeth walks to Mouse who is a few meters behind the woman with Aaron and Harper. 'I told you to stay by the swings with the kids.' 

'They heard the gunshots and got scared.' Mouse tells her. 'They wanted their mommy. Are you okay?'

'I'm fine.' Elizabeth nods. 

'How bad is it?' Mouse queries. 

'It's bad.' Elizabeth nods. 'Quite a few dead, god knows how many injured. Take the kids out the back entrance of the park and take them to the Pizzeria around the corner. The one with the kiddie play area.' 

'I know the one.' Mouse nods laughing. 

'I'll meet you there once I've finished up here.' Elizabeth says. She looks at Aaron. 'Uncle Mousey is going to take you to get some pizza. I'll meet you there in a little bit okay?'

'No!' Aaron says scared. 'Come with us.' Elizabeth sinks down in front of him. 

'Mommy's fine.' Elizabeth reassures him. 'Mommy wasn't hurt.' She continues. 'Mommy just has to make sure everyone is okay and the bad man goes to prison.' 

'Do you promise you'll come and have pizza with us?' Aaron asks.

'I promise.' Elizabeth nods and laughs. Aaron hugs her and Elizabeth wraps her arms around him.

'I love you, mommy.' Aaron whispers.

'I love you too, bud.' Elizabeth whispers back. Aaron lets go of her and Elizabeth stands up.

'Let's go and get pizza then monkey.' Mouse tells Aaron. Aaron holds onto the handle of Harper's stroller. 

'See you later baby.' Elizabeth kisses the top of Harper's head.

'Stay safe.' Mouse raises his eyebrow at Elizabeth. 

'Always am.' Elizabeth smiles before watching Mouse walk away with Aaron and pushing Harper. Elizabeth turns around and sees the woman talking to some patrol officers. Jay walks up to her.

'Thanks for that earlier.' Elizabeth thanks for him.

'That's what partners are for.' Jay smiles.

'What are you doing here anyway?' Elizabeth questions.

'I was on my way back to the precinct from lunch and saw what was going on. Thought you could use the help.' He responds. 

'How bad is it?' Elizabeth queries.

'5 dead, 10 injured. 2 critical.' Jay informs her. 'The man's name is Simon Paige. He's a serial rapist.' 

'And now a murderer.' Elizabeth adds. She then sees Voight walking up to them. 'What's Voight doing here?' 

'He would have heard me call for back-up over the radio.' Jay replies. 

'Are you two okay?' Voight asks as he reaches them.

'Yeah.' They both nod. Voight turns to Elizabeth. One of the patrol officers said you were here when it happened?' 

'Yeah.' Elizabeth nods. 'I was here with my brother and the kids.' Voight looks confused. 'Mouse is on leave for a week. He arrived last night.' 

'Are they okay?' Voight asks.

'They're fine.' Elizabeth nods. 'Mouse has taken them to get pizza.'

'Go.' Voight tells her. 'Go and be with your brother and kids.' 

'Are you sure? Isn't there some paperwork I need to fill out?' Elizabeth questions.

'Did you discharge your weapon?' Voight asks her.

'No.' Elizabeth shakes her head.

'Then you can fill out your paperwork tomorrow.' Voight says.

'Thank you, sarge.' Elizabeth nods before walking off. As she's walking out of the park, her phone rings. She takes it out her pocket, looks at it and sees that it's Callum. She answers it and puts it to her ear and carries on walking.

'Hey, how's your first day going?' Elizabeth asks him.

'I think you know how my first day is going.' Callum laughs. 'All the casualties from the park you and Mouse were at were just brought in.'

'Yeah, some guy tried to kidnap a woman. He shot the people who tried to help her.' Elizabeth replies.

'You were there? Are you guys okay?'

'We're fine.' Elizabeth assures him. 'I told Mouse to take them to get some Pizza.' 

'Okay, well, as long as you're okay.' Callum says. 'I gotta get back to work. Love you.'

'Love you too.' Elizabeth replies. She hangs up and puts her phone back in her pocket.

It's the next day. Elizabeth is at her desk at the district doing her paperwork from the incident at the park. Meanwhile, downstairs, Mouse is walking into the district with Aaron and pushing Harper in the stroller. 

'Well look who it is.' Trudy smiles. 'How ya doing, Mouse?'

'I'm doing good.' Mouse smiles and nods.

'Are you here to see your sister?' Trudy asks as she walks from behind the desk. 

'Yeah,' Mouse nods, 'and Voight.'

'I take it these are your niece and nephew?' Trudy asks him.

'I'm Aaron!' Aaron grins. 'This is my baby sister Harper.' 

'It's nice to meet you, Aaron.' Trudy smiles. She looks at Mouse. 'I'll take you guys up. You can leave the stroller in the back break room.' Mouse takes Harper out of the stroller and pushes the stroller to the back break room and returns to Trudy. 'Let's go.' Trudy leads them up the stairs and into intelligence. 

'Maxwell.' Trudy calls over to Elizabeth. Elizabeth looks up at Trudy. 'You have visitors.' 

'Mommy!' Aaron runs past Trudy and up to Elizabeth. Elizabeth stands up and he hugs her. 

'Hey, bud.' Elizabeth smiles. 'What are you doing here?' 

'I was borreed,' Aaron moans, 'and I wanted to see you.' Mouse walks up to Elizabeth and hands Harper over to her. 

'Hey, baby.' Elizabeth bobs up and down. Voight walks out of his office to see what all the commotion is. He sees Mouse, smiles and walks up to him. 

'Mouse, it's good to see you.' Voight extends his hand.

'It's good to see you too, Sarge.' Mouse shakes his hand. 

'How are you?' Voight asks.

'I'm good.' Mouse nods. 'Glad to be back in Chicago even if it's just for a week.' Aaron appears at his side.

'This must be Aaron.' Voight smiles, looking at the young boy. 

'How do you know my name?' Aaron asks confused.

'This is Sergeant Voight, mommy's boss.' Elizabeth tells Aaron. 

'Has your Uncle Mouse been spoiling you?' Voight questions. Aaron looks back at Elizabeth and then back at Voight. He motions for Voight to bend down. Voight squats down to his level.

'He got me a Nintendo Switch and some games.' Aaron whispers into Voight's ear not knowing he's whispering loud enough for everyone to hear. Voight laughs and stands up. Elizabeth raises her eyebrow at Mouse.

'Ooo, busted!' Jay laughs. Mouse shoots a glare in his direction and looks down at Aaron. 

'We need to work on your whispering game.' Mouse says.

'I'm not mad.' Elizabeth shakes her head.

'You're not?' Mouse asks confused. 

'No.' Elizabeth shakes her head. 'We were going to get him one anyway so you saved me and Callum quite a bit of money.' 

'You could have told me that.' Mouse sighs.

'You didn't ask.' Elizabeth laughs.

'I guess you're not going to introduce us to your children then.' Adam hints. Elizabeth just shakes her head. 

'Aaron, come here.' Elizabeth tells Aaron. Aaron walks up to her. 'This is Adam.' She points to Adam. 'Kevin.' She points to Kevin. 'And Hailey.' She points to Hailey. 

'What about me?' Jay jokes.

'I already know you silly!' Aaron giggles.

'Let's let mommy get back to work.' Mouse tells Aaron. He looks at Elizabeth. 'I'll see you later.' 

'Bye mommy!' Aaron waves at Elizabeth. 'Bye Adam. Bye Kevin. Bye Uncle Jay. Bye Sergeant Voight.' Aaron waves at every everyone individually. Mouse takes Harper from Elizabeth and walks down the stairs with Aaron. 

'You have a couple of cute kids there.' Voight says to Elizabeth.

'Yeah.' Elizabeth smiles and nods. 'They can be a handful, though.'  She adds with a slight laugh. 'They're growing up too quick.' 

'Kids do grow up really quick.' Voight laughs. 'Just wait until they're teenagers.' 

'I am not ready for that.' Elizabeth laughs. 'If they're anything like I was, then they're going to be even more of a handful.' She walks over to her desk leaving everyone to wander what she meant.
