A week has passed since Harry decided on taking Sam's advice. He's going to figure his shit out. Figuring his shit out means figuring out where he stands with Louis. Realistically, Harry knows that he can't keep lying to himself. He needs to sort whatever last feelings he may have for Louis before he goes home because when he goes home, he intends on giving his whole heart to Sam.

"I don't care what you say, I'm not eating one of those fucking avocados," Louis curses as he pushes the piece of toast towards Harry.

They sit at a cafe, where they spend most of their time. For the most part, things have fallen back into place. Harry's avoided all things about the past and has tried to focus on getting to know Louis now.

"It's not that bad, you're overreacting. It practically has no taste," Harry argues as he takes a bite of his avocado toast. Louis crosses his arms across his chest and shakes his head.

"I told you, I'm not eating that shit. I swear nobody really likes it. They're all faking just to be trendy. I've said it once, and I'll say it again: avocados are the trendiest fucking food," Louis replies sassily. He cocks his head in one direction as if challenging Harry to say anything more.

"Alright, Lou, don't need to convince me," Harry laughs. He realizes too late what's slipped past his lips. He didn't mean it to slip, but it's too late and Louis' heard it too.

"Why don't you come over for a bit? I'm sure Eleanor'll love to see you again," Louis suggests. He can see the nervousness written plainly across Louis' face. Harry looks down at the toast in front of him.

"Um, sure, yeah. It'll have to be quick. I'm supposed to be uh... I think Niall's got something planned," Harry lies. There's no plan for later today. He just hopes that if he says he has something planned than the visit will be brief.

Harry watches as Louis tries to bite back a smile as he replies, "Well uh, just follow me then."

Harry didn't think a house could be bigger than Niall's, but somehow Louis' managed to find one. The driveway circles around a fountain and the walls are tall with huge windows overlooking the driveway. Harry steps out of his car in awe as he follows Louis up the steps to their door. A 'Tomlinson' mat sits out front along with a couple old pairs of shoes.

"Sorry if it's a bit of a mess. The cleaner comes tomorrow," Louis explains as he opens the door. Immediately, he hears two loud shrieks and then an even louder yell telling them to quiet down.

Harry follows Louis through a maze of hallways and end tables as they make their way to a kitchen and living room. Two kids sit in the living room, one in tears and the other one happily watching something on the television.

"Parker, why is your sister crying," Louis asks sternly. Harry straightens up, feeling as though he's watching something he shouldn't. The boy turns to Louis and Harry's taken aback by the similarities. Sure, Addison looked like Louis. However, this boy is Louis' twin.

"I don't know, probably because she's a cry-baby," The boy, Parker, responds. Louis rolls his eyes as he places his keys and wallet on an island in the kitchen.

"I'm not a-a cry-baby! Parker stole the remote from me just as I was about to finish my show! I d-didn't even get to hear what the big secret was," The girl screams through tears. Louis sucks in a deep breath and gives Harry an apologetic look.

"Jo just go to the other television room. Everything's recorded now so I'm sure you can just rewatch what you missed," Louis explains. The girl stands aggressively and stomps off out of the room while her brother watches smugly.

"Kids, I'm sorry about that," Louis apologizes. "I think the garden will be quieter." Harry gives Louis a shrug as Louis leads him out of the kitchen and through a back door.

The backyard isn't as maintained as Niall's is, but it's still beautiful. A large, blue pool sits in the middle with a slide swirling into it from one side. Louis bypasses the pool and leads Harry to a pair of chairs under a large tree.

They sit in silence for a moment, enjoying the sounds of nature around them. The hot California sun beats down on them as birds sing from the trees. "It's been nice talking to you again. I've missed you," Louis sighs, his blue eyes fixed on the leaves above them.

"Yeah, it's been nice," Harry agrees. He feels the conversation starting to turn somewhere he doesn't necessarily want it to turn towards.

"Why don't you stay for dinner? Taylor's cooking lasagna and she cooks for an army. I'll be eating it for days," Louis suggests. Harry can feel Louis' eyes watching him as he quickly adds, "Right, no, you said Niall was doing something. I forgot."

Harry turns to him, already regretting the words as they come out of his mouth, "I'll stay."

Dinner is great and being back with Eleanor and Taylor and Louis again is even better. Harry forgot how well the four of them mixed together. The night also gave Harry the opportunity talk to Louis' kids.

The twins bicker like crazy. Harry found it amusing to watch but he could tell that Eleanor was over it. Addison, their oldest, is much quieter. She was polite and didn't say much throughout the meal. Harry isn't necessarily surprised, she didn't say much when they first met either.

Once dinner ends and the kids all disappear to their rooms, Louis suggests walking Harry to his car. The moon hangs high in the sky as they step out of the house and start the walk towards Harry's rental car.

Harry doesn't say anything despite having a million things on his mind. He's not entirely sure he would be able to voice what he's feeling if he even tried.

"Well, it was a nice evening," Louis sigh as they come to stop by Harry's car. Harry leans his shoulder against the driver's door, not ready to get in yet.

"It was," Harry sighs.

Again, the conversation falls but Harry can't seem to pull himself from his spot. He wants desperately to get in his car, but his feet stay glued to the ground. Harry can hear Louis' shaky breath as his blue eyes stare at him. He can't help staring back.

He doesn't know what comes over him. Suddenly, he's stepping forward, but Louis is one step ahead. Louis traps Harry against the side of the car and kisses him. Harry melts as Louis' hands pull Harry's face closer. It's sloppy and desperate, a mess of tongues and lips. His heart hammers in his chest as Louis' fingers dig into his sides and his face and his hair, keeping Harry there. He doesn't care. All reason is thrown out the window as Harry kisses him back.

Louis' mouth detaches from Harry's skin long enough to move to his neck, attaching itself to the spot under his ear. Harry stretches his neck to give Louis more access as he leaves a trail of open-mouthed kisses down his neck and jaw. "God I fucking missed you," Louis whispers onto Harry's skin.

Harry's heart hammers again and he can't stop his hands from shaking as he pulls Louis' face back up to his. Years of repressed emotions flood over him as he connects their lips again.

He decides, for one night, he won't feel guilty.
