CHAPTER SEVEN - THE UNBELIEVABLE

"This is the second time in the very second week, for you two to brake into a fight," Mr. Waters, our school's principal spoke. "I am really sorry to say that this kind of behavior is not accepted in this school and I would have to suspend you both from the school for the whole next week. Now, you two may leave my office."

"And also," he says before we leave his office, "You two won't be running  for the school's presidency, now," he completes the sentence with an evil, I-know-exactly-what-I-am-doing smirk.

But this can't be happening. I worked so hard for it. It is not at all easy to convince people to vote for you. And now, all my hard work has gone down the obnoxious drain. Also, I am so dead for the suspending thing. This was all Megan's fault. If she wouldn't have come to me after the history period, none of this would have ever happened.

Mr. Waters called my mother after our little meeting, to pick me up from school. And now, here I am in the parking lot of the school, waiting for her to pick me up and for her rage to shower me.

I stood behind the wall of my piercing thoughts, relating the colours of the sky with my feelings. It was of a really different colour today, blue with a tinge of some dark colour all around it, just like my day.

"Hailey, when are you planning to get inside the car"? My mom asked. She was sitting inside her champagne-coloured car which stood a few meters away from me.

I didn't even realised when she had come. I went to the car and opened its gate to sit inside or maybe to endure my mother's wrath. But she didn't say anything. Her eyes were focused forward on the yellow-red leaf lying on the road. Her face was expressionless.

" Please tell me you are kidding?" Alex spoke from the other end of the phone. I spilled all the details about today to Alex and sure he is not happy about me getting suspended. But look at the bright side- I wouldn't have to attend boring history and maths lectures.

"No I am not," I said with furtiveness in my voice.

"Oh, Haley...How is your mom handling it?" Well, seriously I don't know. She hasn't complained or scolded me a bit.

"I guess, she is quite disappointed..."

"Shall I talk to you later Haley? I am having my dentist's appointment right now."

" Okay."

"I am really sorry, Haley."

"No, it's totally fine."

I think I will be needing more of  netflix and popcorn to survive this upcoming week.

A/N

Guess who just aced all their finals?

Well, it's definitely not me...But I did pretty well. I think. But on the bright side, all my exams are freaking over.
