It's only called that, it actually does have an end. It's just pretty much a maze that puts you back to where you were a lot of times. And from where you were to where you are. On top of that there's a couple places that look almost exactly the same.

There's many reasons you could be here, there's a card competition at a cottage, you made need resources, want to explore, etc...

Anyways onto the places in the forest

You somehow always enter the forest from a place that looks like this ^

Spots like this are said to be magical places, so don't forget to make your wish ^

A calm and serene little area, plentiful in magical medical plants ^

These are the deep, thick, dark places of the forest. Their tricky and the easiest to get lost in ^

Even though it looks like the other they are not the same, here is a major illusion for its actually upside down and the sky reflects the water above it, but you can actually lay on the sky and you're guaranteed sweet dreams ^

If you see this tree it's a good sign that you'll make it to the cottage ^

The cottage, inside its big enough to be several luxury hotels combined with a mansion ^

This means you're near the end of the forest ^

This is the exit ^

There's also various card tables throughout made of stumps, rocks, etc.
