Blood suckers. The worst creatures to walk the planet Earth. They literaly smell like death, like rotting flesh, like a corpse in a meat locker. With Nani's heighted sense of smell, it was hell to be around vampires, and that's how Nani knew that girl in her chemistry class was one of them. She covered it up with strong exspensive perfume, but you can't hide anything from a werewolf's nose. So Nani had to sit through all of third period trying not to vomit. But there was one thing that made the class bearable, Josh. When Nani first saw Josh, she thought one of her brothers had spiked her orange juice and that she was hallucinating. She really liked Josh and she was a go-getter so she started talking to Josh and flirting with him. She saw the blood sucker staring at her in envy while she was talking to Josh, Nani knew the vampire liked him. She was over-joyed, she would get to go out with this dream boy and get to break a blood sucker's spirit in the process. She had lucked out.
As she started toward the trailer park she called home, she couldn't help, but think about Josh. She knew she could have him. She was smart, pretty, and confident. Unlike that blood sucker who was giving off major shy vibes. She reached her trailer and walked in. Her brothers George and Nick were wrestling and knocking things over.
"Hey Nani!", called Nick.
"Sup Nani", called George before punching Nick in the shoulder.
"Hey guys, where's mom?" asked Nani.
"In the back room", they answered in unison. Nani walked into the back room to find her mother sitting on the floor with her knees drawn to her chest crying. Nani immediately rushed to her side.
"Mom" she said in a worried tone.
"Oh, hey Nani", her mom sniffled as she wiped her tears.
"What's wrong?" Nani inquired.
"Oh nothing dear, I should start dinner." Nani knew that meant 'I don't wanna talk about it', so she didn't push any further.
"So how was your first day your new school?" asked her mom, obviously trying to change the subject.
"It was cool, and there was this......boy."
"Nani has a crush! Nani has a crush!" chanted Nick.
"Shut up before I crush you", Nani glared at Nick. Nick just laughed and left the room.
"So, what's this guy's name", asked her mom.
"Josh", Nani answered.
"Wait, Josh as in Josh Lebaton, the captain of the football team", laughed George, "How chlichè, Nani"
"I don't know what what chlichè means, but I do know that he's way out of your league!" Nick and George both went in to a laughing fit.
"10, 9, 8,...." counted Nani.
"Oh your counting scares me sooooo much", said George in a sarcastic tone.
"....7, 6, 5, 4" Nani continued.
"Wooooow, Nani! You can count backwards, I'm sooooo shocked" Nick said in the same tone as George.
"....3, 2," Nani went on.
"Oh, Nani im sure Josh will love your amazing counting skills", laughed George.
"....1" Nani finished. Then she shifted, and when Nani shifted, she was a hulking, scary she-wolf.
"Run", said their mother in a hushed tone. Just then Nani broke into full speed wolf running chasing her brothers out of the house and into the woods. She finally cornered them and gave each of them a good painful scratch on the arm. Her brothers shifted and they all raced home, Nani won because she still had adrenaline rush from trying to kill her brothers. They entered their trailer to find their mother laughing her pants off.
"You guys should've seen yourselves", said their mother still laughing, "The boys were all like, hah hah, and Nani was all like, 10, 9, 8, and the boys were all like, hah hah hah, and Nani was all like, raaaaaaaaah, and the boys were all like, aaaaaahhhh!" Some times their mother was such a child.
"Ha, ha mom, soooo funny", said Nani retreating to her room.
"Not so fast, it's dinner time", their mother said with a smirk on her face. Then all four of the shifted and headed into the woods preying on poor unsuspecting animals. When everyone was full they headed home. Nani showered and went to bed. She couldn't wait for what she had in store for the next day.
