Rex groaned as he woke up from his sleep, feeling a weight on top of him. Looking at the figure, it was Kiana, dressed in a black hoodie, her white hair was free and she was drooling. 

Chuckling, Rex smiled as he carried her princess style before setting her on his bed and tucking her in. She was light or was just light due to his enhanced strength as a result of descending from an old bloodline filled with monsters. 

After making sure she was secure, he walked to their shared apartment's kitchen and thought of what to do. "Maybe, I can shop first." Looking at his new earring, he smiled before he put on a jacket. 

Looking at the mirror, he nodded. He should also get a haircut, his hair was long now, reaching his neck. 

'Wait... is this the reason why I'm popular with girls... because I look like one?!' He thought with a growl. 'Why me?!'

Sighing, he just took out his phone while taking a bag and a wallet. Maybe he can go to the market early. 

Walking through the streets, Rex hummed a song. It was still early in the morning and he can get some good deals. Maybe he can.

"Step right in! Just for today only! Try your luck!" Looking to the side, Rex saw a stall on the ground with an old man sitting all by himself. "You there!" He called to Rex as their eyes met. 

"Yes?" 

"Would you like to try your luck?" The old man asked with a smirk as he removed the cover of his wares to show....

Rocks...

"Really? Why would." Rex felt it. He was not sure what is it but he can feel something coming from these rocks. 

"Come on, Young man, would you like to try it?" He asked with a smirk as he showed the rocks he had. He has around 40 in total and Rex can feel that out of them, he can feel five of them calling out to him. 

"How much?" Rex asked. He knew he could no let this chance go. Reaching in his wallet, He looked at the old man who smirked. A small tint of amber flashed through his eyes as he looked at them. 

"1000 yen each." The old man said as he looked at Rex. 

'5000. I will have to ration my allowance after this.' He thought as he looked at the rocks. 

"I'm taking this." He said as he took the five calling out to him before paying. 

"Before that. Sign here. This is a contract that says you can't refund your purchase," The old man said with a smile after he showed the Crozzo a pair of papers. Signing the papers, he took his own and put the stones on a bag given to him by the old man. 

"Thank you for the quick money, kid!" The old man said as he quickly took his wares and ran away while he just shrugged. It seems like he was gonna be...

"Raiden-senpai?" He called out to the girl in front of him, the one Kiana often talked about. The former queen of the Senba Academy, Kiana Kaslana. 

Dressed in casual clothes was no one other than the purple-haired heiress of MEI corporation and with a plastic bag of groceries. She froze after hearing her surname but stopped as he saw him. Mei looked at Rex, currently dressed in a white shirt and black pants, a brown jacket around his body. He has his hair in a low ponytail with a fringe covering most of his right eye. He looked like a girl with his current hairstyle and she can see the pinwheel tattoo on his right cheek 

And he had a new earring, a simple amber diamond-shaped earring that blended with his eyes well. 

"You are?" She asked, a bit uncomfortable being approached by a stranger. 

"Sorry, I'm Crozzo, Rex Crozzo. I am Kiana's childhood friend and she told me a lot about you." Rex told her sincerely as he kept away from her by a meter or so. 

"I see, how is she?" She asked as she bought her groceries. She had befriended the girl and while he had seen him around Kiana at times, she did not know him well enough. 

"Sleeping." He told her bluntly as he bought some ingredients. "She will wake up around 7: 30 later." He told Mei as he picked some more ingredients.

"I see.." She said befote looking down.

Rex smiled as he held the bag of his stones and ingredients. "Do you want to come eat with us? I'm just starting to prepare breakfast."

Hearing this, Mei looked at him. 'I get to eat with Kiana-Chan, but. I'm sure he won't do anything.' She thought.

"If you will have me." She said as she looked at him.

"I see." He replied as he bought more. "Come on. Kiana would love this. I'll wait for you here." he told her as he went to shop more.

Smiling, she decided to go. 'Maybe he is just like Kiana-chan.' She thought as she went back home.

20 minutes later, she got her bag and walked with Rex towards his and Kiana's apartment.

"what's with the stones, Crozzo-Kun?" She asked after noticing the stons on his bag.

"No idea. Just thought maybe I'd buy them." He said as he opened the door. "Now. If you see Kiana act like a... Kiana. Please forgive her." He said as he lead her to the kitchen. "Just put your bags down. Make yourself at home."

Mei neatly set her bag down and went to the kitchen. She was taller than him by 3 cms and put on an apron Rex gave her.

Through the hour, the two of them created a breakfast meal.

"S-sorry." She said as Rex twitched while looking at the egg he had her make. It was burnt and toasted on one side.

"It's fine." he said as he looked at her. "You're not used to cooking yet, Are you?"

Hearing this Mei just looked down with an embarassed red face. "Y-yes." she agreed weakly.

"Don't be. It's natural and it's not the worse." He remembered the time he let Kiana cook. He can never look at the food the same way again. She melted his cast iron pot!

"Rex... What time is it?" Kiana asked cutely and tired as she came in rubbing her eyes. She was only dressed in a hoodie that was too big for her and belonged to a guy. It acted like a dress and reached her thighs and covered her arms completely.

"7: 30." He said as he gave her a cup of milk. "Also, we have a guest."

"A guest?" She asked before blushing as she noticed that it was Mei. "Mei-senpai?!"

"Hello, Kiana-chan." She greeted kindly.

"Wait here!" Kiana shouted as she took the cup of hot milk from Rex and went upstairs.

Rex just chuckled under his breath as he set up the breakfast. But not before eating the eggs Mei made to not let her down.

Oh god! It was gross! He can taste the charcoal made from the egg!

"Are you fine, Crozzo-kun?" She asked in worry as she saw him eat her cooked meal.

"Y-yeah. They're delicious." he said while wincing a bit.

"Thank you!" She said with a bright smile while an amber tint appeared on Rex's eyes for a moment before it calmed down.
