This chapter takes place in Durandal VN which is a few weeks after Reve dreamt of Bianka and him kissing.

The year 2016 of our lord.

A long time has passed and humanity itself has progressed and conquered the moon. The only threat to humanity as a whole is the existence known as the Honkai.

A young man stood up from his warm-up, ready to begin a day's worth of training. He was around 16 years old but looked like 22 years old. 

"That's right... February 28.. no 29... 2012. That day huh," He said quietly as he looked down at the circuit-like line tattoos on his hands leading to a tattoo of a dragon on his hand. 

In the library of Schicksal, a yellow folder labeled Top Secret: Very confidential.

Events of Durandal VN, the year 2012

"Hey... Bianka!" A 12-year-old Reve Crozzo called out to his childhood friend and fellow orphanage dweller. 

"Reve... not now." She said as she fixed her cape.

"Capes? You know no capes is the policy we have." He told her as he remembered the advice of that awesome midget lady. They might look cool but seriously, they are dangerous. Hell, he even replaced his capes with a formal coat, and even the necessary capes were required to be easily detached from his uniform.

"What do you want?" She angrily said, her tone raised higher than usual. She was supposed to be on a mission. 

"Sheesh, cut me some slack," He said completely oblivious to her growing irritation. "I just got back from being beaten up by our new Valkyrie. Sure I might not be a Valkyrie of the Immortal blades because I'm a knight, but I work with all of you closely so you get my point." 

"Reve..." 

"Look, let's hang out! I mean like a date date." He said as he looked at her, the 12-year-old boy fixed his coat and slicked his hair back in an attempt to look cool. Spoiler alert, he failed miserably. "Come on," he said, snaking his arm around her shoulders with a smile. "It's been a while, Babianka." He said using the pet name he gave for her back in the Orphanage. 

He was dressed like Vergil from DMC and he made sure to have it as his personal uniform as it was cool and he can easily remove the Cravat that made his life hell at times.

Heh! He is very motivated. Now he just needs a Katana, a good quality one. 

Bianka turned red, not out of embarrassment but of annoyance. She was hotheaded so she moved first, grabbing his arm, she twisted her small frame and a large crash echoed through the hallway. 

Coughing out in pain, Reve was able to land on his leg but was then kicked to the side by Bianka. 

"Stop getting it my way." She said as she looked at him. She was stressed. All her missions and now a very confidential one that she would most likely spill the beans to him if she stayed anymore. She knew Reve can take hits. They sparred together and she was strong, but Reve, he can outlast her all the time and take her blows like nothing or recover quickly. "Honestly! I don't see you like a guy, Reve! You're just my friend from the orphanage!" 

Reve flinched inwardly but he was the same outside.

"Honestly! If you spent more time focusing on your jobs than goofing off and doing what you want..." She said harshly before her eyes widened and stopped.,

"I see." 

"wa-"

"Knight-Captain! We have a mission from the Overseer. He needs your presence now, sir." Said one of his soldiers. 

"I see. Gather the men, We're heading out now." He said as he stood up, brushing his blue coat.

"Reve, wait." She called out only to pause and her blue eyes to widen when Reve walked ahead. 'That's right. I have to give it my all for my mission.' She said as she watched him go and did not call out as she saw his shrinking back from each step. 

"You shouldn't have done that lady Durandal."  The soldier said as he followed his Knight-captain.

While Reve walked alone to his ship, tears fell from his eyes.

'Maybe... Bianka was right. I should focus more.' He thought as he entered the small ship and went to his quarters and put on his uniform. 

"Captain! Look out!" One of his men shouted as Reve touched the device Otto had sent him and before he knew it. He was gone and into a bubble universe of the sea of quanta. 

Knight-captain found himself in a bubble universe ruled over by 12 different Honkai Champion, Cernunnos.

It was tough.

out of the 12, the 1st to the 9th were similar to Honkai Templar-class

But from the tenth to the 12th they were all Emperor-class.

He fought through the lands endlessly and defeated all the twelve lords of Honkai, each one stronger than the last due to their skills. 6 months, one for two lords. He fought all day and night. Growing stronger with each one.

But sadly, it was not meant to be. 

As he prepared to go back to the real world, Cernunnos and its three fairy knights cornored. 

Honkai lord, Escherion had the power to reverse attacks back to their wielder and his Honkai Beast, Hydra

Honkai lord Xiang the corrupted concepts of good and evil. Both evil versions were trapped in the bubble universe and threatened to destroy it until Reve sealed their powers due to them being unkillable because of their roles.

Honkai lord Vath, the slaver of dragons and dwarves and his Honkai beast Roc. 

Honkai lord Kitsune was impervious to all attacks when in his fox form and even had the knowledge to cut the rift of time apart to summon his Honkai beast, O-Dokuro the giant skeleton Honkai Beast. 

Honkai lord Wolfwing, a corrupted Honkai vampire-werewolf hybrid. And the one he was friendly with, only wishing to defend himself and his Honkai beast the DracoWerepyre (a combination of a dragon, werewolf, and vampire.) 

The sixth Honkai lord, Discordia was able to use sounds as weapons, and her Chaos beast, the Honkai Pony. 

The Honkai lord Ledgermayne was a master in manipulating Honkai energy, even causing him and Cernunnos to have a truce just to take him down.

Honkai lord Tibicienas the Djinn. A desert spirit corrupted by the Honkai able to use its powers and control its domains along with his Honkai Beast, the Sphynx.

Honkai lord Khasanda, his friend, was slain not by him, but by Cernunnos and its knights after she refused to help them. They controlled her Honkai beast, Gorgon who can turn people to stone via Honkai energy.

Honkai lord Iadoa, a Chronomancer of legend and controlled a pocket dimension where artificial versions of the bubble-universe were located. He was able to slow down his Honkai corruption but it took him and he annihilated many of his golems and he summoned his Honkai beast, a giant squid whose names he can't pronounce. 

Honkai lord Lionfang, a man blinded by his ideals and fell prey to the temptation of the Honkai. He turned his own partner lion into the Honkai beast, Manticore. They were able to control a massive storm that corrupted the people of that universe and gave them Honkai corruption. Reve was able to reverse this by using Honkai energy and absorbing it all into him.

The last lord of Honkai he fought was Honkai lord Alteon. The man who supported him from the very beginning. He was able to absorb all damage done to him and return it to his enemies, and he had his own Honkai beast. The Honkai Beast Chaos Dragon is a dragon with three different heads, one dragon, one lion, and one eagle. 

In the end, Reve was able to put his mentor to rest by killing him. 

Sadly, while Reve partied he was ambushed and turned to the final and 13th Honkai lord. Within a week, he massacred 75% of the bubble universe's world's population, adding the fallen and dead to his army of Honkai corrupted soldiers. 

He hated it. He was able to break out after a month of being controlled and by then only a small percent of living people were still alive and he entered a contract. A contract with the eternal dragon of time, the keeper of time of that bubble universe.

He dueled all the thirteen lords in exchange for his victory all damage he had done as the thirteenth lord will be reverted and undone. 

And so he did. he dueled them all one after the other, the battle taking a few days and he finished the battle wounded, tired, and ready to pass out. That's when Cernunnos appeared. 

After his duel with the lords, the Champion of the Honkai moved and destroyed everything in its path. 

It was not easy as it took him all he had to just slow it down. After all, it was probably even stronger than the rumored Judgement-class Honkai Beasts.

He was able to find Excalibur and used it to destroy the champion of Honkai after a month of endless fighting. The swords recognized him as its new wielder and he changed the tides. He defeated the Champion and its knights. according to the contract, all damages were reverted and he was now free. But not from the guilt and hatred he received from when he was controlled. 

8 months. He stayed eight months in this world and he broke. He can no longer smile happily after witnessing himself slaughtering his friends and comrades with a smile on his face. He took in the bubble universe inside him granting him his new battlesuit. 

HE left the bubble universe without saying a word.

He later found out he had been missing for almost a year and he returned to the headquarters on foot, on a tattered black coat with serpentine patterns, his cravat gone and his eyes no longer holding the innocence it once had. His dark hair now had strands of white and his face looked like it belonged to an old person.

He entered the meeting room with a blank stare and sat down on his seat, ignoring the looks of shock sent to him, and listening. 

From that day on, he never laughed. 

He even stopped watching anime and even goofing off. Only focusing on completing as much mission as he can. His exploits in the bubble earned him a title and a promotion. 

He was now a General-rank warrior for Schicksal.

General Excalibur, The forever distant sword of ruin, the tainted sword of humanity.

Bianka hated it. She wanted her best friend back. The same best friend who would always annoy her to goof off or hang out and she knew it was her fault. 

"Reve... do you want to..."

"Sorry," Reve said as he walked ahead of her, their eyes never meeting as he walked ahead. "I have a mission." He told her as he left, never changing or replacing his tattered coat. 

Tears fell from her eyes as she looked at his shrinking back. She wanted her best friend... her Reve back.
