"Fine, whatever you say.." The individual's voice spoke, sarcasm and defeat lacing the tone.

"I'm not letting you walk away from this!" Another voice exclaimed, slamming her locker closed and chasing her runaway friend. The younger friend rolled her eyes and continued walking as the classes were soon to start.

"Alright! I get it, you believe what you want."

"Fine! I guess we'll just have to ask Kent then." The second girl said, confidence showing as she walked proudly down the high school hallways. As she strutted down the long hall, her younger more mature friend sighed and walked in the opposite direction, meeting their other friend. The male they were talking about just a few seconds ago.

Her dirted black converse squeaked against the floor as she approached her nerdy, unknown long time friend. "Hey Kent" Her normally cheery voice said.

"Hi Cal." He spoke, rubbing his temples slightly grabbing a book from his small locker.

"Kim is being annoying again." Cal huffed, twirling her long and wavy darker purple hair.

"How so?"

"Ergh she's still hooked on the fact that you and Mr Popular heartthrob over there are in love." She motioned her arm over to the tall blonde male across the hall, who was talking to the school douche Todd. He sighed and puffed his cheeks in response, looking somewhat guilty but brushed it off quickly.
"Kent..." She said uneasily, staring at her friend questioningly.

"What?" He flashed his attention towards her and looked confused.

"What was that?"

"What was what?" He responded guiltily.

"You just..." She started "You know what nevermind..." Cal finished, continuing to look at Kent strangely. "I'm gonna go find Kim.."

"Wait Cal! What?" Kent spoke, watching his friend jog down the long hallway.
"Shit." He muttered, kicking his locker lightly.
Suddenly a powerful force shoved the small boy into a locker nearby. His breath went sharp for a quick second as he looked up to see one of the popular boys inches from his face.
"W-What do you want M-Max." Kent stuttered, glancing around Max seeing the heartthrob himself Drew Mendoza looking towards the two.
Drew's expression went to serious real quick as he rushed over to the boy against the locker.
"Max!" Drew yelled, "Leave him alone."

"Awe c'mon softy, I'm not gonna hurt him." Max replied, chuckling and pressing his arm harder against Kent's chest.
"Do you actually care about this nerd." Max spoke, spitting towards the boy pressed on the lockers.

"Yes I do.. unlike you I actually care for people, asshole. Now leave him alone." Drew responded anger clearly showing.
Max released his arm from Kent and huffed in response before walking away from the two. Kent's gaze followed the brunette haired male that was hurriedly leaving the hallway.

The halls were now dead silent, as the bell had rung only a few minutes ago. It was just Kent and Drew, left alone in the space.

The smaller male gulped and slid his body down the lockers, looking at his feet.
"Kent.." Drew spoke, walking towards the slumped male. He sat himself down next to the boy and wrapped his arm around him loosely.
"I think we should go somewhere else." The older said in a hushed more calming tone. Kent only nodded in response and stood himself up following the boy ahead of him.

"You can come closer you know, there is no one here." Drew smirked, looking back towards his shy 'friend.' Kent looked down flusteredly and jogged closer to his 'saviour'. The popular boy grabbed Kent's hand and intertwined the two, smiling at the warm and familiar touch of his boyfriends soft hands.

Kent baffled the thought of the most popular boy in the entire school being 'in love' with an unknown weak male like himself. He always seems to ponder the thought when it is just the two of them.
"D-Do you really like me...?" Kent whispered loud enough for Drew to hear.

"Do we really have to go over this again? I love you for you, can't you just trust me on that." Drew answered, his attentioned glued to his lovers face. He swung their hands backward and forward smiling brightly as he adored the fact of the two being alone.

They reached the outside of the school and kicked the door open with a slight force. It was moderately cold in their spot of Canada, it was never truly 'warm' there. Drew lead the two over to the area of rocks that they would come to almost every day.

Drew unwinded their hands and sat himself on a large rock facing away from the school. Kent pouted lightly as the warmth was lost as the connection was disbanded.
"Don't pout pumpkin, come sit with me." Drew smiled, patting a seat next to him.
Kent sat himself down and glanced towards the body beside him.

"I want to tell them.." Drew spoke, breaking the comfortable silence that was upon the couple.
Kent's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"What..?" He asked

"I want to tell everyone... you know, that we're a thing." Drew's voice trailed slightly.
Kent's eyes widened in shock as the words left Drew's mouth, he was in some words speechless.
"I know you aren't going to want to do that... but I really need to get this out." Drew spoke again truthfully.

"I-I don't know what to say." Kent replied, looking into the eyes of his partner.

"It's fine."

"Drew we've talked about this though... what if people don't accept us?" He started,
"What if rumors spread? What about teachers...? They might be homophobic, could they kick us out of school? What if people get mad? Would they bully me? Oh gosh.... even worse..."
"What if they start to hate you!" Kent said, gasping and shaking his head at the horrible thoughts.

"Everyone's gonna hate us." Drew sat on the rock, listening to his love rant about the endless negative possibilities. Once he finally finished Drew grabbed the boys waist and pulled him into a side hug.

"Let me just answer all those for you, people can go fuck themselves if they hate us for being us. If rumors spread who gives a shit?"

"B-"

"No buts! Hush." Drew quieted Kent and continued talking, "Teachers won't hate us nor can they kick us out for something like this. People do get mad, it happens we'll just ignore it. If anyone lays a finger on you, they won't be surviving another day. Same goes for anyone who picks on me. Stop worrying Kent. I love you so fucking much, more than anyone else and whatever people say won't stop me from loving you."
Kent was once again speechless. He heard and listened to every word that escaped Drew's lips.

"I-I" He couldn't find the right words to express how relieved and confident he was feeling. The younger always seemed to find confidence when he was with this particular boy, it was a rare and new thing to him.

"Does that help at all?" Drew asked, facing his body towards Kent.

"Yes" Kent answered puffing his cheeks out and looking down, blushing a light colour of pink.

"Good. Now there is one more thing I want to do before we leave for classes" Drew moved closer towards Kent and looked straight into his big brown eyes.

"Wha-." Before Kent could finish he felt a pair of hands cup his face and a light kiss was pressed against their lips, their lips were just barely touching.
Kent's shoulders slumped down, lacking the joy of a proper kiss from his boyfriend. Drew chuckled against their lips and smirked as he knew Kent wanted to kiss him properly.
After seconds of teasing, Kent wrapped his arms around Drew's neck and forced their lips into a proper more loving kiss.

Drew was shocked at the sudden dominance, but embraced the kiss he was sharing with his lover.

"Everyone Listen up!!" Drew yelled, jumping up on a lunch table in the cafeteria.
All students looked up from their lunches and respected the older male stood on the table.
"I have some news." He started, glancing over towards Kent who was sitting at his regular table with his friends, Cal, Kim and Gavin.
"I've been in a secret relationship for a while now. It may surprise you, or actually, I know it will surprise you." Drew corrected, he looked around to see everyone bubbling with curiosity and wonder.

"I've been in a secret relationship with a person who's very unknown, and I want to change that. Now! Here's the important part! Anyone who lays a finger on him
All exressions changed as the masculine description slipped.  "Yes! It is a him! Big deal. I would like you all to know that I am in a loving relationship with Kent Treed." Drew finshed, jumping off the table and jogging over to were Kent was sitting.

He offered Kent his hand and pulled him into a warm embrace. The two pulled away and Drew pulled them back over the his table, standing both males up for everyone to see.
Their hands where interlocked and they were standing side by side, proud to be what they are.

Everyone stayed silent, scared to voice whatever opinions they had. Drew looked down at his group of friends, to see them speechless.
"YAS KENT AND DREW!" A female voice yelled, grabbing her friends hand and running over to them.
It was Cal and Kim.
"I told you! I told you! I told you!" Kim annoyingly spoke, poking the girl beside her repeatidly. Cal smiled brightly and congradulated the two on their 'Coming Out'.

"C'mon people! Stand up if you support this!" Kim yelled loud and clear. Surprisingly majority of the students stood up proudly.

"You see, I told you it wouldn't end bad" Drew whispered into Kents ear, kissing it lightly as he smiled and glanced around to see students cheering and smiling for the two.

What a Happy Ending <3
