they tell me i have
done wrong.
they act as if i murdered
based on the people i find
attracted to.

because love has rules
and laws
do's and don'ts
love the wrong person and prepare
to be condemned.

they tell me to get my facts right
that i was a failure
and a dissapointment,
that i will go to
h e l l

i can only nod my head
as i encounter more
closed minded individuals
who believe my existance will
taint their lives.

as if they themselves are
p e r f e c t

- religion is not an excuse
