Chapter Three
Okay, don't kill me. I have like six other books to write so there's plenty for y'all to read.
Sapphire pov
"Hey! Let me go!" I struggle as I'm pushed inside the tower.
"Shh! It's okay, Sapphire!" A gem tries to comfort.
"What's going on?" My eye darts around the tower.
"I told you so." Somebody whispers.
"I suppose, you deserve an explanation."
"Who are you?" I demand. Somebody turns a light on, and I can see the Rose Quartz from earlier. The Ruby who escorted me here is here also, as well as a defective looking Pearl and a few other gems.
"We are the Crystal Gems. I'm Rose Quartz, but you might know me better as Pink Diamond." I look at her, confused.
"There is no Pink Diamond." She nods at an Orange gem.
"Just like you thought. Anyhow, this is my Pearl," The Pearl bows. "And you already know Ruby." The Ruby sulks in the corner. "You might not want to talk to her for awhile."
"What's going on here?" The Rose Quartz holds up finger.
"And this is Ivory, Emerald, Amber, and Aquamarine." She motions to the gems in order, White, Green, Orange, and blue.
"Why did you kidnap me?" The Rose Quartz smiles.
Because you've had your memory erased. Before this, we were on a satellite. You, along with Pearl, Ruby, and I, were causing quite a bit of trouble." I shake my head.
"You must have the wrong Sapphire. Besides, even if I did, it couldn't have been too much trou-"
"You planted bombs." The Ivory says flatly. "You, personally." I fall to the floor.
"That's impossible. I've never left Homeworld!"
"Yes, well, we can't exactly reverse the erasing, so we'll just have to ease you into things. Ruby? Why don't you show her to her room." The Ruby mutters something, then walks me over to a staircase.
Once we're on the the third or fourth floor, the Ruby stops.
"What is it?" She turns around to look at me, tears in her eyes.
"Don't you remember? Even a little?" I shake my head.
"Nothing. I'd get out of here if I could, but I can't." I cross my arms. "Not that you're doing anything except trying to brainwash me."
"Ugh, what's it going to take, Sapphire? We could go back to the ruins of the satellite, we could fuse Dammit, but you'll just deny it, won't you?"
"Listen, I don't know who taught you to speak to your superiors like that, but that attitude is unaccept-"
"Nobody taught me speak like that!" The Ruby yells. "You know what, fine! Just go to your stupid room! You'd be lucky to be half the gem I used to know!" The Ruby stormsback down the stairs, where I can hear a muffled argument breaking out.
I sigh, stepping into the room.
"Everyone here is insane."
