Happy enough to lead a good life

That all changed when They took me

They liked my singing

They liked my happiness

They wanted my happiness so they took it away

They put me in a cage

They locked me away from what I loved

They locked me from my happiness

but it didn't help them They still couldn't sing

They still weren't happy

I did them no good

They forced me to sing

They forced me to be happy

But I was unable to do it

Dove's don't always sing

they sing only when they are happy
