Drake and his corruption is a special type of corruption. His is very special, unique because of what it was fueled by. Fear is what bring out most cases of it, but his was made by being power hungry. And no one knows how he got it.

Demons claim that the Angels created it to weed out the demons, since they can't get infected by it.

But the truth is... the Spirits created it so this stupid war would end.

Now Drake's shadows come with healing properties, hence why Corruption Colin and Nightmare can't be killed from too many wounds. And not even the greatest shadow masters can manipulate it. Which was actually the secret to defeating Alex.
