Chapter Twenty-One - Normal Day On Base

Hey bro, take it slow

You ain't livin' in a video

You're flying low with a high velocity

No doubt, you're stressin' out

That ain't what rock n' roll's about

Get off that one way trip down lonely street

Now I know you've been kicked around

You ain't alone in this ugly town

Hey Stoopid - Alice Cooper

Metallicar transformed and jumped, Dean landing safely on the floor as she slammed into Sunstreaker's back. She threw him down on the ground and sat on his back. "Bob! Get Sides!" The Insecticon chirped and tackled the other twin. He ended up on his back and sat.

"Now. Which of you glitches decided it'd be a good idea to strip my paint?" They both began talking over each other, pointing at the other as Metallicar grinned. Prowl walked in and almost managed to turn and leave when Dean saw him.

"Hey Pierce! Mind taking care of these two while I go repaint Baby?" He sighed and looked to the insection.

"Bob! Escort them to the brig." Metallicar stood, picking up Dean as she left.

"So you still have extra cans of paint?"

"In my subspace." He nodded and they went to her room.

Once inside she transformed and Dean landed on her hood. Her holoform appeared at the trunk and opened it, digging out the black paint. "Hey Baby?" She looked up.

"Yes Dean?"

"How do you feel about white highlights? You know. Written in Cybertronian." She thought for a moment before shaking her head.

"No. What I want is to be the same car your dad bought off that lot. The same one you grew up in. And the same one you fell in love with." She walked up to him as he slid from the hood and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I don't ever want it to change."

He dipped down and kissed her, hugging her tight as she held him between her holoform and her alt-mode. "I have to ask." He began as she leaned back. "What exactly does bonding require?"

"It's a permanent connection of two sparks. Granted your chest doesn't open to reveal yours but I can still connect with it. I think." He smirked and turned the tables, pinning her down on her hood.

"You think?"

"Yeah." She eyed him warily.

"Just think?" Now she chuckled, looking up at him. "Should we find out?"

"Spark merge." She muttered. He leaned back, confusion plain on his face. "Sparks can connect without fully bonding. We can always try that." His answer was to lean down and kiss her once more.

-

Samuel currently feared for his life. Sam and Crowley had recruited him into their pranking duo and was currently standing in front of the sleeping forms of Juliet and Mikeala. The two had crashed while watching a movie and were leaning on one another.

Sam had a spoon in hand, slowly and quietly placing it in Juliet's mouth while Crowley was tying their tennis shoes together. Samuel had the unpleasant job of holding and activating the air horn. Which would be done the second the duo were back and able to pull him into hiding.

All too soon they were done and standing behind Samuel, both holding him by the collar of his shirt. He activated the air horn, the trio lingering long enough to see their shocked faces before fleeing with Sam practically dragging Samuel.

"That was way to close!" Sam yelled, seeing an enraged and barefoot Juliet miss the corner. She turned, heading back as the three slammed into Prowl.

"What is going on here?"

"Hey! Those three idiots need punishment." Mikeala growled. "Can we throw them in the brig?" Prowl sighed.

"Very well." He stepped aside and led them all to the brig, the girls watching with grins as the boys were locked up.

"This marks the beginning of our revenge."

-

Metallicar lay beside Dean in her bipedal mode. Her form was a little taller than him, given as she had shown him what Ironhide meant all that time ago about mass shifting. It allowed her to be in her full bipedal mode, no holoforms used, and be his size.

Currently she had her helm on his shoulder and her servo against his chest, recharging peacefully. The man couldn't help but wonder what it was like to be as they were. The metal and wires that made them alien, while the pain and bio-mechanical features that made the almost human.

Not to mention, he'd also really love to be a car once in a while.

"Dean?" He turned his attention to the tired femme the second his name slipped from her.

"Baby." He felt her nuzzle into his shoulder and smile, a gentle lift to each corner of her mouth.

"Looks like our sparks can connect." This brought a chuckle from him as he rubbed the glowing spot underneath his skin.

"I have never felt anything like that before." He turned, kissing her forehead.

"We all connect using out sparks. There's a lot of different reasons. But it helps us stick together. As family, friends, lovers, we're all together. The tie shattered for the most part when Megatron began the war."

"Must have hurt." She nodded.

"Hurt worse when Cybertron became sick. Megatron's war was killing him. Slowly but surely." Dean hugged her closer as she let out a shaky sigh. "We can never go back."

"At least you'll always have us, here on Earth." She smiled up at him and he smirked.

"So Dean. We have yet to discuss a day to bond." He nodded and thought for a minute. "Don't worry. You have a long time ahead of you to answer."

At this he could only smile.

-

"My lord, jou called?" A mech, painted beige, purple and black knelt in front of Lord Megatron, who had Lilith on his shoulder.

"Indeed. I wish for you to take care of something for me. An Autobot.... pest." He growled.

"Jou need only say a name."

"This Autobot has threatened something very important to me. Kill her. And if that is not possible than take her human mate."

"If I may, vat is her name?"

"Metallicar. Formerly known as Ironspark." The Decepticon paused and looked up at Megatron. Lilith moved slightly, Scalpel reprimanding her in German as he attempted to repair her.

"I already have ze plan formed." He stood and Megatron smirked.

"Then go Blitzwing. And bring me her helm."

-

Metallicar walked through the hall, Dean still back in the berthroom and trying to sleep. He had suggested a day for their bonding and Metallicar had readily agreed. After that he had crashed, to Metallicar's immense amusement.

So she chose to let him sleep while she went to her checkup with Ratchet. Something that she was dreading, given as how she probably shouldn't have spark merged with Dean.

She had been told shortly after her last checkup that her spark was still extremely weak and she shouldn't strain it.

With a sigh she walked into the med bay, Ratchet already there and waiting for her.

"Ah, finally you show up Metallicar."

"Yeah sorry. Kinda fell asleep." He looked her over and nodded.

"With Dean?" She shrugged.

"He was there."

"You forget Prowl and I are friends. And that Prowl's berthroom is beside yours."

"Slag!" She fell back as a wrench slammed into her forehead.

"I told you not to strain your spark!"

"He's my mate!" She defended.

"Not entirely yet. You could wait until you were bonded." She rubbed her helm and sunk.

"If my spark's as bad as you say then I could be dead before that even happens."

"No. I will not allow you to offline on me." She merely nodded and he began the check-up. "Besides. Bonding strengthens a spark." She nodded and leaned back. "This is amazing."

"What?" Before he could answer a klaxon alarm began to blare.

"Decepticons are attacking!" Metallicar stood and ripped the wires free, running out of the med bay. She unsubspaced her shotgun and practically flew out the door. When she reached the outside she paused, seeing the Decepticon standing in front of them.

"Metallicar." He spoke, his German accent thick. "It has been a long time. Jou have not forgotten me, have jou?"

"Blitzwing." Her grip tightened on her weapon and readied to fire.
