Chapter Six - Vampires and High Grade

There I was completely wasting, out of work and down

all inside it's so frustrating as I drift from town to town

feel as though nobody cares if I live or die

so I might as well begin to put some action in my life

Breaking the law - Judas Priest

Metallicar revved the engine, gaining Ironhide's attention as she pulled off onto a deserted road hidden by trees. There the duo dropped off Sam and Dean and transformed, Ironhide handing her a cube of energon. "Merci opi." She grinned before taking a hesitant sip. "Not high-grade. We're good!" She then took a drink as Sam and Dean grabbed their water.

"So how far are we from Cali?"

"Bout another day's drive. Assuming we don't have to stop to often." Sam shook his head and Dean glanced to Metallicar.

"Where do our weapons go?" She looked down at him before opening a small compartment in her arm.

"Subspace."

"Whatever that is." Sam muttered.

"It's basically an alternate dimension where we store our weapons, supplies and occasionally energon. Like opi did on the plane." She spoke, leaning back against a thick tree. Sam and Dean watched as she shut the compartment once more. "So Dean. Wanna drive while I get a bit of recharge?"

"You can do that?" He asked, shock in his voice.

"Years of practice Dean. I had nothing else to do the entire time ya were growing up." She pointed out.

"Why do you want us with you?" Sam asked. "We can do hunts on our own. You could go and spend your time with family." She smiled fondly at the boys.

"Two reasons. The first, it's actually a welcome relief from the constant worry of dying that comes with being in a war. And the second? I swore to your dad last time I saw him that I would never let any harm come to ya. I already failed once, it's not going to happen again." She cast Dean a pained glance and he walked up to her, placing a hand on her knee.

"Baby, I swear, nothing like that is going to happen again."

"Dean is right. We didn't save him just for him to get himself killed."

"Primus! Ya afthole! Quit sneaking up on me like that!" She grabbed the angel by the back of his jacket and brought him up to where she could glare at him. "And he's no longer your responsibility Castiel." She snapped.

"This is the organic who got under your plating?" Ironhide looked to him. "He doesn't look like much."

"He isn't. He's just annoying as frag." She growled, glaring at him.

"I'll agree with Baby on that one." Dean grinned while Sam stared in awe. "So wait. How did you know what Baby was?"

"You mean you didn't?"

"No." Castiel looked to the car.

"I really thought you two were together. What with how he always called you Baby." Her cheeks burned blue in a blush and she shook her head.

"No! He's my charge!" Dean was also blushing a bit before glaring at Castiel.

"Baby can keep her secrets if she wants." He stated.

"Dean!" Sam reached out and swatted his brother. "Your car is manhandling an angel!"

"So?"

"So, she needs to put him down. Now." She scoffed and unceremoniously dropped Castiel, the fall only having been a couple feet.

"There. He's down. I'm leaving. Come on Dean." She transformed and her door opened. Dean climbed in and closed the door. ::We'll be going now.:: Without another sound they took off, leaving the trio behind.

-

Dean reclined across the seat, stretching as far as he could. Metallicar chuckled and turned up the A/C. "Baby?"

::Hmm?:: Her engine purred with her inquiry.

"It wasn't your fault. No one could have stopped the hellhounds."

::Dean. I've taken on Decepticons twice my size and won. I'm just aggravated that I lost to something small and insignificant and lost ya.::

"That you couldn't see."

::I didn't mean the hounds.::

"Alice was after Lilith. Was it because you sent her?" She remained silent and Dean sat up. "Look. I won't judge you if you did. Both of you want her dead. I get that. I just hope she's safe." He heard her sigh.

::Don't worry. She is.:: He lay back again, rubbing the seat. Metallicar began to purr and Dean chuckled.

"So you do enjoy having your seats massaged?"

::Very much so.::

"Just don't get any dirty thoughts."

::Shut up and take the wheel. I need some recharge.::

"Sure thing Baby."

::Wake me when we get to Cali.:: He nodded and felt the difference in the car as she fell asleep. It was unsettling, how alone it felt. Now, though, he recalled every time the car changed like this in how she drove. He realized just how many times she had trusted them enough to fall asleep with them at the wheel.

His heart jumped at that thought and he smiled. She trusted him. And he trusted her.

-

"Los Angeles!" Metallicar cheered, standing in her bipedal form on the ledge. Luckily she was out of sight from anyone in the city below.

"Yeah. Remember last time we were here Sammy?"

"Haunted movie set, right?"

"I remember that one!" Metallicar grinned, finishing off her energon. "Now come on. Prowler's here." She transformed and Dean jumped in. They took off and Sam shook his head.

"Isn't the younger sibling supposed to be more like a child?"

"Apparently not." Ironhide transformed and opened the door for Sam. "As for her she is the same. She is twice as hyper as her younger brother." He blinked in shock.

"She has a younger brother?"

::Yes, why?::

"Our world is doomed." This elicted laughter from Ironhide.

::I will admit. My creations are slightly....::

"Insane?"

::That fits.:: Sam chuckled. ::I admit. Yours is not the worst company.::

"Tell that to Optimus. He seems to hate me."

::You are both used to being in control of everything around you. It is only natural that you will 'hit helms'.:: Sam shrugged.

"Guess your right."

::Naturally. Now. Let's go find my creation and your brother before they get into trouble.::

"That sounds like a good idea. We don't want the city to burn down."

-

The vampires ended up being holed up in an old warehouse in an abandoned section of the city. What few humans were hanging around were quickly chased off. As soon as the coast was clear Metallicar transformed, her servo changing into a blade. She looked to Ironhide with a grin and he pulled out his cannon.

"Oh yeah." Dean grinned. "We're so gonna win this bitch." With that being said the four darted inside, weapons aimed at the vampires.

"What the-?" One spoke.

"Get them!" Another yelled. The vampires attacked and Ironhide fired one round, easily decimating six of the feral beasts. As their ashes scattered, movement caught their optics. Hidden in the corner was a human youngling, clinging onto her deceased mother. Anger boiled in Metallicar as she sliced several of the vampires in half. She darted over and scooped the child up, holding her close to her chest.

Dean saw this and took note of a vampire coming up behind her. "Baby! Watch your back!" He threw a knife that stuck in his forehead. Metallicar turned and brought her blade down, growling as she turned to Ironhide.

"Look for any human survivors! We'll take care of these guys." Ironhide nodded and began to look around. He found a cage in the corner, several bodies propped up. The sight made him sick to his tanks. What kind of fleshies would do this to their own kind?

A weak groan met his audials and he looked down at yet another youngling. In fact, nearly all of the bodies and forms were... He felt disgusted as he broke the lock, grabbing the boy and looking inside. "Th-they're all gone. Wh-where's my sister?!" He looked around and spotted her, clinging tight to Metallicar's chest.

"Easy youngling. We'll get you both out of here and to safety." The boy calmed and hugged tighter to his servo.

"I know you. You were in Mission City."

"That I was." The kid seemed to relax.

"You're Ironhide!" The girl called out. It was then that he noticed all of the vampires had fallen. And those that hadn't were running away as fast as they could. "You saved us!"

"Oh, you're the two younglings who were stuck in the car." He recalled them and they nodded. "Have you any family to go to?"

"Only our uncle. But we don't know where he is." Metallicar walked over and Ironhide took the girl.

"What's his name youngling?" She asked gently.

"Lennox. William Lennox." Ironhide and his creation both smiled before the former nodded.

I think we know how to find him.

-

Dean looked to the two children, both of whom were snuggled against either side of him. Sam found his discomfort hilarious. Metallicar did as well but she didn't say anything. Truth be told she loved seeing him that way. He looked adorable and that made her spark pulse. She frowned at the unfamiliar feeling and made a note to see Ratchet later.

"Baby?"

::Yeah?::

"Why are you so... mushy, when it comes to kids?" She chuckled.

::Because Dean, as a Cybertronian we are sworn to protect sparklings and younglings, given that they are smaller and more fragile. Not to mention rare.:: He heard her sigh. ::Besides. These two remind me of my little brother and I.::

"You have a little brother?"

::Yeah. Total pain in my aft.:: She taunted.

::Be nice Metallicar.::

::He's an idiot!::

::Yes, he is.:: Dean and Metallicar burst out laughing, the children remaining asleep despite the loud sound.

"I can tell you guys are a real close family." Sam spoke, barely heard over the link.

::Extremely so Sammy boy.:: They heard her grin as she pulled to a stop. Dean picked up the two and climbed from the vehicle. She transformed and that's when Dean saw it.

"Isn't that Pierce's bike?" Sam asked.

"Prowler!" Metallicar chirped. Pierce appeared, seemingly out of nowhere before sighing.

"Ironspark." He sighed.

"Metallicar." She corrected.

"Or Baby for me. Hey Pierce." Dean spoke up. Pierce nodded.

"Come to take me to base?" He asked.

"Jazz is there." He froze up before Pierce vanished, the motorcycle quickly transforming.

"He's here?!" Metallicar nodded and Prowl smiled.

"Pierce is an Autobot?" Both ignored Sam as they transformed. Dean climbed back into the car, setting the kids on the seat.

::Ironhide. Where is the nearest plane that can take us to base?::

::Tranquility. We'll get to see Sam and Bumblebee.::

::I can bug Bee?!:: Ironhide sighed at his sparkling.

::Yes.::

::Pit yeah! I've got the perfect prank!::

::Primus help that poor kid...:: Prowl muttered.

-

Metallicar took a deep drink of the energon and frowned. "Opi. I can't tell if it's high-grade or not. It's spiced." Ironhide and Prowl each took a cube and frowned.

"Wait. Spiced energon?" Dean asked his guardian.

"Wheeljack found out that organic spices can make the energon taste worlds better. This one is cinnamon. Though I prefer chocolate."

"What beautiful lady wouldn't?" Her cheeks tinged blue and she took another drink. Dean chuckled and sat on her leg, laying back against her stomach. They were currently sitting in an old supply car. Surprisingly the three Autobots could fit, given that they were sitting. The train was supposed to go right through Tranquility. There they would jump off and head to the base where their plane would be waiting for them.

Suddenly Metallicar began to sway, setting her empty cube down. Dean knew for a fact that she, under medical orders for depriving herself for so long, had to drink two. So he shoved it towards her. She picked it up and purred into the sip she took. "Hmmm. Chocolate."

"You alright there Metal?" Sam asked, looking up at her. Ironhide was chuckling and Prowl's optics were focusing in and out, repeatedly. "What's wrong with them?" He looked up at Ironhide.

"High-grade. That sneaky little glitch."

"So why aren't you acting like them?"

"Prowl's an extreme lightweight and my creation's been without Energon for so long it'll take a little to get her tolerance back. For now she's just as susceptible as Prowl."

"Wait, tolerance?"

"Yep. She used to out drink Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Crosshairs, pit even me once." He chuckled.

"Sooo. High-grade is alcohol?"

"That much is obvious Sammy." Dean was trying hard not to laugh as Metallicar finished her second cube, still purring.

"O-opi?"

"Yes sparklet?"

"Why-*hic*-why is chocolate so gooood?" She hummed. Her intakes hitching.

"Shut up and go to sleep." She pouted but lay back. Dean walked over and lay beside her, listening to her mutter as she lay there. Different things made him laugh. Until he heard words that chilled him to his core.

"Why am Ah so pulled to ya Dean? Da ya have a rope?" She mumbled.

"No rope here." She pouted.

"Then why? An' how? Mah spark is beatin so fast. Why? Ya hand, o' course." She sighed, her head thumping against the floor. "Dean?" He brought his hand up to the Chevy symbol, making her breath hitch.

"Yeah Baby?"

"Don' ever leave me again." He stared at her for a moment before nodding.

"I won't. I swear." With a light smile she forced herself into recharge. Dean lay back against her chest with a light sigh. "I don't even think I ever could."

(A.N.: Long chapter... Anyways. So we got to see a bit of drunk bots and a smidgen of fluff. (Yay fluffy!) Anyways. I'll have more of a drunk Metallicar in a later chapter. Like much later. So ciao for now my lovelies. And I hope you are enjoying this. {C.M.}

P.S. If there are any errors, I apologize. I have a very active boa who loves my keyboard. I fear for when he gets bigger. Especially with the fact that he loves giving hugs...)
