Chapter Fourteen - Seeking Out A Seeker

Now we'll try to stay blind, to the hope and fear outside,

Hey child, stay wilder than the wind

And blow me in to cry.

Who do you need?

Who do you love?

When you come undone.

Who do you need?

Who do you love?

When you come undone.

Words, playing me deja vu, Like a radio tune I swear I've heard before,

Chill, is it something real, Or the magic I'm feeding off your fingers

(Can't ever keep from falling apart.. at the seams)

(Can I believe you're taking my heart.. to pieces)

Come Undone - Duran Duran

(Sorry, this one jumps around a bit. But I'm trying to cover several different points of view so... Yep. Enjoy! {C.M.})

Metallicar sat beside Bee, leaning on his side as she looked up once more to the stars. Sam watched her for a moment, not noticing Castiel standing behind him. He focused solely on the Impala as her optics closed. Light music played from her speakers as she relaxed.

"She misses her home." Sam jumped, turning to level a glare at Castiel.

"That what she was staring at?" Castiel nodded.

"She doesn't want to go back." Sam full on turned to Castiel.

"What?"

"Listen to the music. That's human music. Not Cybertronian."

"How do you know?" Castiel deadpanned.

"I can understand it." Sam nodded and looked to Metallicar. "She loves your brother. She's not going to want to leave him."

"And let me guess. Dean doesn't know." Castiel shook his head.

"She asked him to bond with her before she left Diego Garcia. He knows." Sam's eyes were wide.

"Dean. Getting married?" He scoffed. "She knows him better than anyone alive. She should know he won't do that."

"Maybe." With that Castiel turned and left, Samuel passing him and giving him an odd glance.

"Who the heck is that guy?"

"Ignore him. Find anything out?"

"No. You?" He shook his head and Samuel groaned. "This sucks."

"Tell me about it. This and hunting mixes so well I can't tell what's from Earth or what's from Cybertron."

"One's metal, the other flesh." Samuel pointed out.

"No. They have things like we do."

"What do you mean?" Sam looked to him and then to Metallicar.

"Come on. We should talk to them about these symbols." Sam blinked.

"Did you just flip the subject?" He stopped in front of Bee and Sam sighed.

"Metallicar?" She looked to him, the music cutting off.

"Sam." He sighed and climbed onto her leg, sitting and watching the stars. Metallicar looked up as well and ignored the conversation between the others.

It was the first time the two had ever truly gotten along. And truthfully, both wished for more days like this. As a family.

They never knew what lay over the horizon.

-

"Bee, if you hate me I understand. I messed up. I'm sorry." Samuel sighed, leaning on his car.

"You are the person I care for most in my life, and if there is anything you need I won't be far away." He looked up to the stars, finding the same one Metallicar had been staring at.

"We need a plan." Her voice cut through the silence as she looked to them.

"How very un-Dean of you." She smiled at Sam and looked up.

"First we need someone who can read those symbols."

"Sam!" Both turned, looking at Leo as he walked over.

"Oh, look who came sashaying back." Skids retorted, leaning on his brother.

"Hair growing like a Chia Pet, look at him." Mudflap chuckled.

"I had a bit of a mild panic attack earlier, right?" Leo sighed.

"That's 'cause you're a pussy." Metallicar sighed and threw a rock, hitting Mudflap in the head. "Hey!"

"I think I'm allowed that, considering what I've been through." He then turned back to both Sams and pointed at them.. "Hey, you say you have in your head? I know someone who can help.

"Who?" Sam asked, still leaning on Metallicar.

"RoboWarrior."

-

Hysteria stood off to the side as they loaded Optimus' frame onto the plane. "What are they going to do?" She asked.

"Keep it away from humans." She chuckled.

"Love just how much faith you have in us." She joked. "But hell. I wouldn't trust humans either."

"Yet you are one." She looked up at the Autobot leader's ghost and nodded.

"Yeah. I am." She sighed. A thought then occurred to her. "How do you even have a ghost?" He chuckled.

"A piece of my spark remains here. And I am connected to it." Hysteria looked confused before looking down at the charm around her neck, a small light glowing within.

"Wait. You're telling me that the charm you gave me...."

"Is a piece of my spark." A blush overtook her and she glanced away.

"Th-thank you Optimus." He knelt down. "I can already tell this is something you wouldn't give to just anyone."

"No. I would not." She felt his servo against her side and smiled. "Hysteria. It may only have been a day but. After that party...."

"Me too Optimus." A pain stabbed at her and she winced, causing the mech to worry.

"Hysteria?"

"It's okay. Just... thinking of things that will never be." Optimus looked down and sighed, lowering his helm close to her.

"I am sorry Hysteria."

"Don't be. It wasn't your fault." Her gaze fell onto the plane, Dean talking with Crowley, Lennox and Epps. "I should go."

"I will be with you." She smiled and took a deep breath, walking over to the gathered group.

-

Metallicar's holoform let out a pained growl as Leo all but slammed the door, grumbling about having to ride with Skids. Mikeala had insisted on riding with Metallicar, her box in the trunk with the boys' weapons.

"So Metallicar."

"Yeah?" She asked, pain crossing her features.

"We've never really gotten to talk. And I figured, with two boys constantly on your shoulders, you could use some girl time." A smile crossed her face and she nodded.

"Yeah. I haven't had any girl time since Alice Singer." She smiled, remembering the chipper girl with ease.

"Alice Singer?"

"Uh-huh." She chuckled. "I probably wouldn't recognize her anymore."

"Been a while since you last saw her?" She nodded.

"In our line of work ya never know whether your friends are alive or not. Ya can just hope for the best." She leaned back in the seat.

"What line of work is that?" The femme merely looked out the window. "Can't say huh?"

"It's not that. More like ya wouldn't believe me." Mikeala scoffed.

"Try me." She challenged. Metallicar smirked.

"Alright then. Sam, Dean and I are all hunters of the unnatural. Demons, ghost, vampires, werewolves, ya name it we've fought it. Crowley is a demon, the self-proclaimed King of Hell while Castiel is an angel. And not just any angel, the angel who pulled Dean from hell after he sold his soul to a crossroads demon to bring Sam back to life. Think I'm crazy yet?" Mikeala chuckled.

"Nope. Sounds like fun." She blinked and hummed in thought. She then picked up her phone and dialed a number.

"Sam. I'm taking a detour. Vengeful spirit and all. I have RoboWarrior's location locked in. Yeah I'll meet ya there." She hung up and then dialed another number. "Hey Bobby. Yeah. I need a hunt."

-

Mikeala looked at the old, rundown warehouse, confusion on her features. "Chill. It's just a ghost. Bobby was just working the case so we already know who it is. And the fact that they were cremated." Metallicar spoke, grabbing a bag. She then picked up a shotgun. "Ever used one of these before?"

"Once." Metallicar tossed it and Mikeala caught it.

"Loaded with rock salt. That and iron can really ruin a vengeful spirit's day." She swung the bag over her shoulder and joined Mikeala, an iron sword in her hand. "We need to find what's tying the spirit here and get rid of it so the owners can use the place."

"O-kay?" Metallicar chuckled.

"Follow me." She raised the sword, laying it on her shoulder. With that out of the way she walked into the warehouse.

-

Sam leaned back in Bumblebee's passenger seat, Samuel in the driver's. "So what did Metallicar want?"

"Huh? Oh, nothing much. She's taking Mikeala to find some vengeful spirit." Samuel looked at him like he was insane.

"A what?"

"Vengeful spirit. Ghost who's pissed off at the world."

"And she's taking my girlfriend to go find it?"

"Most likely Mikeala challenged her and now she's showing her what we do."

"Hunt ghosts?" Sam nodded. "You're all nuts."

"That's what everyone says."

-

Metallicar rounded a corner, her eyes scanning the darkened rooms of the abandoned building. "So what exactly are we looking for?"

"Lock of hair, teeth, skin, fingernails. Anything that could be tying them down here." She stood with her back against a doorway, looking around the corner. "Shit!" Before she could move a chair slammed into her, knocking her back. The spirit appeared, his teeth bared in a dangerous grin.

"Nice try girly." He snarled.

"Hey ugly!" Mikeala yelled. The spirit looked at her and found himself face to face with a shotgun. "Kiss this!" She fired the gun and the ghost vanished.

"Nice one." Metallicar shoved the chair off of her and looked up, seeing a face in the rafters. The girl began to giggle and waved. Metallicar, though confused, returned it.

"You've come to send the bad man away! He keeps me here and won't let me leave." She pouted, appearing beside the two women in the next moment. "He told me that I have to protect him." The girls both blinked in confusion.

"What do ya mean protect him?" Metallicar asked sweetly.

"He said they couldn't know. He wasn't the one who burned." She whispered.

"Sierra!" The red-haired girl gasped and turned. She then looked back to Metallicar and Mikeala.

"Find him." She whispered before vanishing. Mikeala looked at her and she sighed.

"Okay. If ya were hiding your own body, where would ya put it?" She asked.

"Basement?" Metallicar went to argue but fell silent.

"Oh." Mikeala smirked as Metallicar led the way. She was right. This was kinda fun. Minus the chance of dying part...

-

Sam sat on Bee's hood, looking around for Metallicar. They had reached Robowarrior's hideout and were waiting for the arrival of the girls.

They were about to give up when the familiar roar of the Impala's engine cut through through the area. Heads turned to stare as the sleek black vehicle rolled into sight, looking cleaner than when she had left. As she pulled to a stop the doors opened, revealing Mikeala and Metallicar, the latter wearing a new outfit of a crop top and hip hugging skinny jeans. Over that was a leather jacket, similar to her alt-mode's.

"Hello Sammy." She smiled, walking over. Heeled boots adorned her feet, making her even taller than before. She looked over a pair of dark sunglasses at the group. "Like the outfit? Mikeala suggested it while we were going through the car wash."

"So that's what took you so long?" She looked offended.

"Girl's gotta look her best when saving the world." Sam rolled his eyes and stood, Samuel and Leo with him.

"Alright. Let's go." Leo ran inside with Samuel and Mikeala behind him.

"You think this is gonna work?" Metallicar nodded.

"Yeah. Come on." They walked forwards and entered the butcher shop, seeing a guy glaring at Sam.

"You know him?" Leo looked shocked.

"We're old friends." Samuel muttered.

"Old friends? You are the case that shut down Sector Seven. Now that it disbanded, no security clearance, no retirement, no nothing! All because of you!" His gaze then fell on Mikeala. "And your little criminal girlfriend. Look at her now, so mature."

"Who is this guy?" Sam asked.

"Better question, who the hell are you two and why aren't you leaving? Huh? Meat store's closed."

"This is Sam Winchester." Metallicar spoke. "He's in the same boat as Sammy there. The Fallen wants them both."

"Oh, and you? First name basis with super freaky on T.V. suggests that you aren't exactly a good girl." She crossed her arms.

"The name's Metallicar."

"What the hell kinda name's that?" She looked over her glasses and he froze at the glowing crystal blue eyes. "An Autobot. Great. Just great." He turned and moved to leave. Samuel quickly interrupted him as a burst of pain ripped through Metallicar. No one noticed as she leaned heavily on the wall, a hand over her spark as heat tore through her.

"Woah, woah, woah!" Leo shouted as she slid, slamming into the ground. Sam rushed over and knelt, pulling her up.

"Shit! She's like a furnace. Metallicar!" He shouted. She frowned and looked up at him. He sounded like he was trapped underwater. Or she was. It was then that she realized. She couldn't vent, causing heat to trap in her frame. Her holoform gasped and she sent a quick burst of pain to Crosshairs. Though the sibling bond they shared was dulled he seemed to receive it, as not a minute later her vents were forced open, allowing her to cycle cool air once again.

"I didn't think they needed to breath." Leo muttered as she pulled in air.

"It's hot outside. Would you like to be a black car with the A/C turned off?" Mikeala snapped. Metallicar looked up at her as she forced herself up, still dizzy. She shook her head and groaned.

"Vents malfunctioned. Locked closed. Couldn't cycle air." She winced. Simmons look to her before gesturing for them to follow him. They entered a cooler and looked around. "Gross."

"Dead pigs." Leo pointed out, dodging one.

"Yuck!" Sam watched his girlfriend as she avoided one of the pigs.

"What you are about to see is top secret. Do not tell my mother!" With that Simmons opened a hatch in the floor and began to climb down.

"Swine flu, not good."

"Now you know: next time you eat a goat or a pig, there's a story behind it, sad little story." The former agent muttered as he descended the steps. Samuel and Leo climbed down first, Mikeala and Sam both lowering Metallicar with great care, as her wounds had begun to show again. "So I gotta ask. What happened to her?"

"She was attacked with Optimus. Megatron was about to kill her when Optimus stepped in." She turned away. "He sacrificed himself to save her." Simmons froze.

"Big guy's dead?" Mikeala nodded, hugging Metallicar. "Shit." He swore, running a hand through his hair.

"We have to stop the Fallen." Metallicar voiced. "My uncle's sacrifice cannot be in vain." She stood, limping slightly as she walked. "Simmons!"

"Right!" He rushed over to a large stack of boxes. "Before I got fired, I looked through Sector Seven's crown jewel. Several files of alien research point to one inescapable fact: the Transformers, they've been here a long, long time. How do I know?

"Archaeologists found these unexplained markings on ancient ruins all over the world: China, Egypt, Greece..." He chuckled a box at Leo before grabbing out a film and running it, showing archaeologists standing in front of a row of symbols. "Shot in 1932. These the symbols you're seeing in your head? Same ones over here, right? So tell me, how did they end up all drawing the same thing? Aliens. And I think some of them stayed. Check this out: Project Black Knife.

"Robots in disguise, hiding here! We detected radioactive signatures all across the country. I pleaded on my knees with S-7 to investigate, but they said the readings were infinitesimal, that I was obsessed! Me! Can you imagine that?" He finished as he lay out picture after picture of old vehicles, one including her alt-mode.

"This one can't read them. I'll tell you that now." Samuel spoke, pointing to the Impala.

"How do you know? I personally spent months chasing that one and it's humans around. It seemed just as intelligent as all others on file." Everyone stilled as Metallicar took the picture from the table.

"They know because they know her." She then glared at Simmons. "Ya were the one following John!" She shouted.

"You're the Impala?!" His eyes widened and he walked over to her. "What the hell was your precious John doing posing as an FBI agent?"

"Hunting." She growled.

"Oh yeah? Hunting what?"

"None of your buisness!" She snapped.

"Girls!" Mikeala yelled. "Simmons, she's telling the truth now let her go."

"Right, whatever." He turned away. He then shrugged. "Well I don't know about you guys but I'm not exactly on speaking terms with a Decepticon."

"No." Samuel shook his head. Mikeala sat up and looked around.

"Actually, I am." Everyone turned to her and she held up one finger. "Metallicar, pop the trunk." She nodded and watched Mikeala climb the steps.

"Dean's gonna want you to use that if we're in a hurry you know."

"I know." She smirked before wincing, her hand to her side. "Hey ya got a chair in here?" Simmons pulled one around for her to sit.

"If you look this bad now, I'd hate to see the real you."

"Ya won't see much. Field patches. Sunny does pretty good. Can't take the pain away though." She then turned on Sam. "And I swear if ya tell him I called him that I will scrap ya." The man raised his hands in defense as Mikeala returned, setting her box on the table. She opened it and out flew a little blue robot.

"I will have so many Decepticons on your butt!" He started to yell. Mikeala grabbed a blowtorch from her pocket and flicked it on.

"Hey, behave!"

"What is it, a Decepticon?" Samuel stared with wide eyes.

"Yeah." She responded. Metallicar was trying hard not to laugh.

"And you're training him?" Mikeala shrugged, eyes still on Samuel.

"I'm trying to."

"I spent my whole adult life combing the planet for aliens, and you're carrying around one in your purse like a little Chihuahua." Simmons stared, prompting the bot to turn towards him, throwing the chain over his shoulder.

"Huh? Do you want a throwdown, you pubic 'fro-head?" He snapped.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry about your eye. But if you're a good boy, then I'm not gonna put out your other eye. I'm not gonna hurt you. Just tell me what these symbols are, please." Mikeala spoke lightly to him. He sighed and looked over the papers.

"Oh... oh, I know that, that's the language of the Primes!" He grinned. Metallicar sighed.

"Thank ya so much for establishing what we already know."

"Well excuse me miss black." She glared at him.

"The name's Metallicar. Don't forget it."

"Ah slag. You're the one who captured Barricade!" She grinned.

"Right. So tell us what ya know."

"Easy Autobot Warrior." He backed up a bit. "I don't read it, but these guys... Where the frick did you find photos of these guys?"

"Is this them?" Sam asked.

"Yeah! Seekers, pal! Oldest of the old! They've been here for thousands of years, looking for something. I don't know what, nobody tells me nothing. But they'll translate those symbols for you. And I know where to find them!"

"Show me." He turned, lighting up spots on a nearby map. "Closest one's in Washington."

"Let's go!" They ascended the steps, Sam and Leo helping Metallicar's holoform up from the floor and leading her outside.

Metallicar's holoform vanished as they reached the car, Mikeala climbing in and throwing the blue bot in the back. He stood and looked around.

"Nice interior." He voiced.

::Don't mess it up.:: Metallicar growled.

"I ain't touching nothing." He sat down, crossing his arms.

::And stay there scraplet.:: Mikeala looked confused.

"I'm not a scraplet! Salvage drone, yes. But I'm nothing like those cannibals." He grumbled. "Don't forget it."

::I'll try not to, Scraplet.::

(Wow... That one ended up a lot longer than expected. lol Well I hope you didn't mind and enjoyed it anyways. ^.^ {C.M.})
