Ratchet walked into the main room to see that Dean was with Metallicar, who hadn't spoken since the medic had fixed her up again. Hell, she barely let him, leaving a few wounds barely leaking energon. Which Dean was quickly patching up. She didn't argue, which Ratchet understood.
She had just watched her brother's mate be taken away by the same woman who took Dean away from her little over a year ago. He watched as the man carefully climbed along her side, the femme managing to remain immobile as he dug carefully and closed leaking energon lines. Finally he finished, sitting in the open window of the door on her chest.
"Baby?" He spoke, his hand over her spark. She looked down at him and winced.
"I did it again Dean." She whispered. "I failed to beat Lilith and now she has Drift." Dean frowned.
"Hey. Baby." She ignored him. "Ironspark." This brought her attention to him. "It's not your fault. You and your brother were cornered. There was nothing you could do." She looked to him.
"I could have done something Dean. I should have moved quicker!" She turned, slamming her fist into the wall and drawing attention from Lennox, Optimus and Galloway. The man on the screen also heard her and she pulled her fist from the broken wall. "My apologies."
"What's going on?" The man asked.
"Sorry General. One of our own, Metallicar, just watched one of her friends get captured by the Decepticons." Lennox responded.
"Bring her over here." She did as ordered and stood by Optimus.
"Yes, General Morshower?" She spoke lightly, watching the screen.
"I know what you're going through. It's hard." Metallicar sighed.
"This is different. This is the same bitch who took Dean away from me and the same group that took my cousin. I've failed against both of them." Her servo tightened into a fist.
"Took Dean away? What is she, some crazy ex of his?" Morshower asked.
"Not exactly." She sighed. "It's a long story." He nodded.
"Well then. You can tell me some other time. For now, I think Lennox has something more to say."
"Yes sir. This is Director Galloway, our National Security Advisor. The President just appointed him liaison..." Lennox rolled his eyes and Metallicar struggled not to laugh.
"Well I guess I didn't get that memo." Morshower sighed. Galloway was currently glaring at Dean, his nose patched though clearly still bleeding.
"Thank you sir." He ignored the insult and looked to Optimus. "Now, under the Classified Alien-Autobot Cooperation Act, you agreed to share your intel with us but not your advancements in weaponry."
"We've witnessed your human capacity for war. You would absolutely bring more harm than good." Optimus growled. Metallicar missed what was said next before Epps stepped up and spoke.
"We've shed blood, sweat, and precious metal together..." He began.
"Soldier, you're trained to shoot, not to talk!" Epps rolled his eyes, hand on his gun.
"Don't tempt me." He muttered. Optimus looked down at him, amusement barely hidden in his optics as he pointed at the man before laying his palm flat.
"Easy." He spoke low enough that Galloway didn't seem to hear.
"Now, what do we know so far? We know that the enemy leader - classified NBE-1, aka Megatron - is rusting in peace at the bottom of the Laurentian Abyss, surrounded by sophisticated detection nets and full-time submarine surveillance. We also know that the only remaining piece of your alien All Spark is locked in an electromagnetic vault, here on one of the most secure naval bases in the world..."
"Where it will stay." Metallicar spoke. Galloway glared at her before looking to Optimus.
"The Fallen shall rise again"? Sounds to me like something's coming. So let me ask: If we ultimately conclude that our national security is best served by denying you further asylum on our planet, will you leave peacefully?" Optimus thought for a second.
"Freedom is your right. If you make that request, we will honour it." Metallicar locked up slightly, her servo moving towards Dean. "But before your President decides, please ask him this: What if we leave, and you're wrong?"
Lennox grinned and nodded. "That's a good question..."
Metallicar sighed, seeing that Morshower was still on the line. "Metallicar?"
"I'm sorry uncle. I need to go." She turned to leave but her grabbed her shoulder.
"Uncle?!" Galloway and Morshower both looked surprised. The latter smirked while the former looked annoyed.
"So half-bit there is someone slightly important. Not enough to protect her friend though." She turned, snarling low, her engine revving in a simultaneous growl.
"Galloway. If ya value your life then run. Otherwise, I'll let Crowley have ya. And we all know how much he loves new souls." She growled. Crowley walked up behind Galloway and grabbed his shoulder, making him turn.
"She's right, you know." He looked between them all.
"You're all insane!" Metallicar smirked and Galloway turned and left. Once he was gone Dean broke out laughing.
"Oh hell Baby, that was priceless." She looked down at him and he grinned.
"I was being serious." She voiced. Dean paused and watched her.
"Okay, angry Baby is scary." He joked. She smiled and walked towards her room, earning a confused glance from Dean.
"I guess I can be. But I protect what's mine."
"What do you mean?" At this she chuckled.
"I was protecting ya Dean." She stepped into her room and transformed, Dean landing flawlessly in the driver's seat. Her holoform appeared next to him with a light smirk. "Again, I protect. What's. Mine." The last word was a light growl next to Dean's ear, making his eyes widen. He had no response as Metallicar's holoform pressed a light kiss to his lips.
"Yours huh?" She nodded. "Then I guess you're mine."
"Always Dean." She whispered. "Always."
-
Dean lay on Metallicar's chest. She had returned to bipedal mode and lay down, her jacket sprawled out behind her. It had been by her insistence that Dean was laying on her like this. She wanted to make sure nothing happened to him.
"Baby?"
"Hmmm?"
"When we take care of this Fallen character, do you want to find a job? Just you and me?"
"Like when Sammy was in college?"
"Yeah." Dean smiled.
"Well this is disgusting. Squirrel!" Both of them shot upright, Dean landing in Metallicar's servo.
"What?" They chorused, glaring at Crowley.
"Squirrel means Dean. Call off your damn guard dog!" He looked up in confusion.
"What?"
"Castiel! Get him under control now!" Metallicar stood and strode quickly from the room. They walked into the main room to find Castiel glaring at Galloway.
"Cas?" He turned to them and sighed.
"Dean. I need to borrow your car. She and I have to go retrieve your brother."
"What?! Where's Sammy?" Castiel sighed.
"In prison."
-
Metallicar stood next to her alt, rubbing her forehead. "So that was Sam." She held a phone in her free hand. "He's babbling on and I can't understand him. Honestly it sounds like he's possessed again."
"Want me to go with?" She shook her head.
"No. Stay here. Prime is going to see Witwicky. I'm catching a flight with him and bringing Sam back when he gets here. Have a trap ready in my room. We'll bring him back and exorcise him. Again." She sighed.
"Take care Baby." She smiled and leaned forwards, pulling Dean to her.
"Dean? Can I ask ya something?"
"Anything." He whispered.
"Some day, when this war is over, will ya...." She trailed off.
"What is it Baby?"
"Will ya bond with me? If it's possible." Dean stared at her in shock. "Ya don't have to answer me now. I just had to ask." She breathed.
"Baby...."
"Metallicar!" She turned.
"Coming." She looked to Dean. "Please. Just think on it." With that her holoform vanished and her alt rolled into the plane.
As soon as they were gone Dean let out a shaky breath. "Ratchet! I need some advice!"
-
Sam paced the length of his cell, symbols and faces crossing through his mind. Without thinking he picked up a piece of stone and dug it into the walls. Within seconds there were already several symbols etched into the wall.
"We don't know what's wrong with him. He's been going on and on about these symbols."
"Is there, by any chance, anything.... demonic, about them?" He turned at the sound of Metallicar's voice. She was standing there in a military uniform, a hat tilted to the side. Beside her was Castiel, an FBI badge in his hand.
"I couldn't tell you ma'am. Only that I might have seen something like it back in Mission City." Metllicar froze and Castiel looked to her.
"What's so important about Mission City?" He asked.
"You must be new. Terrorist attack. They were using giant robot prototypes. I guess the U.S. had some too. Nearly wiped out a good part of the city." He spoke.
"Can I take my brother now? We really need to get him medical attention." The officer nodded.
"Right this way." Sam watched as they walked with him, heading to his cell.
"Damn sis, never thought I'd be this glad to see you."
"Ya know you're in a world of hurt with our brother right?"
"I know, I know. And the boss and everybody else. Just please get me out of here and get the doc to see what's wrong." She noticed the wall then, her eyes widening before she grabbed Sam's arm and began to leave.
"Thank you officer. We'll be sure he's kept safe until he's better."
"Good luck." He called after the retreating trio. Metallicar quickly pushed Sam into the back seat, Castiel in the passenger's seat while she took driver's.
"Sammy, don't touch anything that'll leave a mark in my interior." She started the car and backed out, her holoform returning to normal in a flicker of blue sparks.
"What's wrong with him?" Castiel asked.
"Primus, Dean, what'd ya touch now?!" She asked, ignoring Castiel for a second.
"Some sliver of metal."
"Please tell me you still have it."
"No. Mikeala took it. Witwicky called it something. All... Something."
"All Spark?!" She looked back at him.
"Yeah." She swore in a series of clicks and whirs, racing down deserted streets. "What's wrong?"
"You're writing in the language of the Primes. It's old and unfortunately the war started before I could learn any of it." She turned onto a highway, a glimmer of light bending around the car. "Thank you Dino for the cloaking tech." She muttered. Sam looked out and to their reflection on the car beside them. His eyes widened at their lack of reflection and he looked to Metallicar.
"Wait. I touch some random piece of metal and now I'm drawing alien mumbo jumbo everywhere?" She shook her head, hands on the wheel now.
"It's not mumbo jumbo Sammy. It's ancient Cybertronian. That shard of metal is something Primus created that in turn helped him create us. It was what we turned to when we wanted sparklings. When we needed energon. Sam, that was the only hope of restoring life to our world." She slowed a bit with this. "And then, from what I understand, it was destroyed in Mission City. Where my uncle was killed."
"I thought your uncle was the Prime." Castiel spoke.
"He is. But he had a brother, aside from my opiluk." She looked to him. "His brother was Megatron. Decepticon leader, warlord, total pain in my ass. You name it, it was him."
"So you're telling me that Sam found a shard of this All Spark and all of a sudden it's telling me things?" He asked, leaning over the front seat.
"The cube's energy can't be destroyed Sam. It can only be altered and moved to a new vessel."
"You mean it transformed?"
"I was avoiding that term but in essence yes." She drove around a group of cars, easily flying past a cop without him even seeing her. "I have a feeling our other Sam is having similar problems right now. But Sammy?"
"Yeah?"
"If you see a Decepticon you run. I don't care what you want to do, you run. Got that?"
"Why?" She looked ahead.
"Because the Decepticons will want that information as well."
(A.N.: Quick note here simply to say thank you to ginger300. Thanks for the ideas, which I have no doubts that, without them, this story wouldn't be half as good as it is. {C.M.})
