Chapter Eighteen - A New Demon In Town
I was there through the ages
Chained slaves to their cages
I have seen you eat your own
I'm the cycle of pain
Of a thousand year old reign
I'm suicide and salvation
The omen to nations
That you worship on all fours
I'm the infection and famine
That's knocking at your door
That's why you're feeling so
Unholy
Oh, I was created by man, you know I'm....
Unholy - Black Veil Brides (Original: Kiss)
(A.N.: I'm only doing a few songs where it's a newer cover. Granted I love the Kiss version of this song but Zakk Wylde has a guitar solo in there that's fragging amazing. So I hope you don't mind. I know there's a lot of people who don't like BVB. Personally I love 'em. And the picture used above is ginger300's image of Jason. {C.M.})
Dean watched Juliet, wary of her every movement as she fiddled with a necklace around her neck. She was leaning against the large pickup she had brought with, Metallicar parked behind it. The thought of the femme made him reluctantly turn his gaze from his half-sister, trusting that if she tried anything he'd be ready. Metallicar's holoform was curled up on his lap, her head under his chin. She was humming a song he didn't know, one that was calming him and taking away his fear of flying.
"Baby?" She hummed. "How did you know Juliet?" She fell silent.
"John made me promise not to tell ya. And after a while of not seeing her, her face faded to a memory and I all but forgot about her. He used to take her on hunts when he didn't have ya two." She felt Dean's anger and hummed again. He instantly calmed and wrapped his arms around her.
"So how long have you known her?"
"Since she was little. Years faded together so I couldn't tell ya exactly how long." He nodded and glanced to Juliet, who was watching them. He glared at her but Metallicar caught his attention once more by raising her voice a little, the words distinctly inhuman.
"What are you even singing?"
"A human song that I got bored and translated into Cybertronian." He looked down at her.
"What song?"
"Not saying." He grinned and dipped down, kissing her neck.
"What song is it Baby?" He began to tickle her sides, causing her to try and escape.
"No. You'll laugh." He continued to tickle her. He then hugged her tight to his chest.
"I swear I won't laugh." She looked up with a delicate smile.
"For Whom The Bell Tolls." He looked down at her.
"Really?" She nodded and he looked up. He shrugged and smiled. "That's a damn good song."
"Forgot that Metallica calms ya down." He smirked and hugged her again, tensing as the plane shuddered. "Shhh. Easy Dean. We're probably just landing." She turned, hugging him tightly. He buried his face in her hair and they felt the plane jolt, causing Dean's hold to tighten on Metallicar. Moments later the plane came to a stop, the door opening.
Dean instantly moved to Metallicar's alt-mode, keeping her holoform in his arms as the door popped open. "How you manage to control both bodies at once will never cease to amaze me Baby." She smiled and laughed a bit as he ducked into the car, allowing her to slip from his arms and into the driver's seat.
She started the engine, the loud roar causing heads to turn. Some of the soldiers outside stared in appreciation as she backed out of the plane. he glanced to Dean. "Wanna make everyone here jealous?" He grinned.
"Baby, you know me so well." She grinned and pressed the gas pedal, leaving marks in the ground as she launched forwards. Dean watched her holoform as she laughed, earning cheers from a few of the men. Lennox merely shook his head as he and Alice stepped off the plane. Metallicar was already almost to the hanger, leaving them to walk back.
They stepped aside as Juliet brought out her truck, stopping beside them. "You two want a lift?" Alice looked to Lennox and shrugged.
"Sure." He walked over and climbed into the truck, pulling Alice up behind him. Juliet smiled and drove off, following Metallicar as she pulled into the hangar.
Juliet watched as she pulled up beside the large GMC Kodiak, letting Dean out and transforming. Juliet watched in awe as she stood, looking down at her with a light smile. Juliet parked her truck and they all climbed out. Metallicar knelt down, Dean seated on her left shoulder. The woman didn't miss the wary look from him but tried her best to ignore it.
"Juliet. Welcome to NEST." She stood and gestured to everyone around them. Optimus walked up and Alice ran to him, leaping into his hand as he lowered it for her. He stood, setting her on his right shoulder as he looked down at Juliet.
"Hi." The vampire greeting, sinking slightly under their gazes.
"It's alright Jules. O.P. here has a strict rule against harming humans." She winced and looked away.
"Then I'm not protected." Metallicar frowned and looked to Optimus.
"Prime. Permission to add something to the rule?" He nodded. "No Autobot is to harm a single human or Juliet. Who is one no matter what she says." Juliet looked up at her and turned away, seeing an unfamiliar man walk up to them.
"Hey guys. How'd the hunt go?"
"It wasn't a hunt Sammy. Bobby just needed us to play baby-sitter to a vampire." Sam turned, looking at Juliet.
"What was he thinking?! She could haul off and kill everyone here!" Metallicar saw how much this hurt her and shot Sam a glare. However, Juliet spoke before she could.
"I don't drink fresh blood. Only blood bags." She muttered.
"Well how do we know you won't snap and go after someone, huh?!" This earned Dean a glare as Juliet all but growled.
"Because I don't do that! I wouldn't dare harm a single soul! Dad trusted me not to. Now why can't you?!" With that she turned on her heel, storming off. Metallicar sighed and looked to Dean.
"Sweetspark, it isn't like she chose this path." He crossed his arms.
"She's still dangerous!" This made her transform, Dean landing on her hood as her holoform exited the vehicle. She grabbed Dean by his arm and walked forwards. "What?"
"We're going to get lunch and then we're going to go talk to her about this demon and how she knows it. Understood?" She growled. Dean paled slightly and nodded. "Good."
-
Metallicar sat at a mostly empty table with her tray in front of her. Dean sat beside her and looked down at the food, poking it with his fork. The only thing that looked remotely edible was the cheeseburger. Still. He hadn't eaten since Egypt and he was really hungry.
As he began to eat he heard the distinctive swish of a trench coat. Castiel came into view with a tray that had four cheeseburgers and sat down, Sam by his side. Metallicar gave him a funny look as he picked up the first cheeseburger and dove in.
"Cas?" He looked up at Dean. "Are you kidding me?" Castiel grinned and swallowed.
"These things make me happy." Metallicar tried hard not to laugh but honestly, he looked like a kid in a candy store.
"I thought angels didn't need to eat." Sam inquired, eyeing his own food. Metallicar had already begun eating, which confused Dean.
"Yeah. Same with Autobot holoforms."
"We don't." The two chorused, glancing to each other.
"Then why?" Metallicar looked to Sam with a grin.
"Well for one, it's converted into energy when we return to our true bodies. Kinda like a synthetic energon. Two, energon is so bland and in comparison food on your world tastes fragging good." Dean chuckled as she bit into the burger again.
"And angel boy is probably eating because he feels like it." Metallicar turned, her eyes focused instantly on Crowley.
"Heya Crowley." He sat by Metallicar and smirked.
"Hello Sparky." She glared at him before flipping him off. "Fiesty." This made her roll her eyes.
"Save it. I'm taken and I don't date demons." She finished off her burger and pushed her tray aside. Crowley grabbed the fork and poked at one of the things.
"Is that supposed to be peas?"
"No, I think it's sweet corn." Dean replied.
"Ew." He dropped the fork and pushed it away. Metallicar shrugged and grabbed the metal cup in front of her. Dean barely took note that it was glowing blue before she took a quick drink. Just the sight of it made him want to try it, given as the burger wasn't nearly as filling as he had hoped it'd be.
"Hey Baby?" She lowered the glass and looked to him. "You think I'd be able to drink that?" She thought for a moment before her eyes seemed to dim. It was a few seconds later when they brightened again and she turned to him.
"Ratchet says ya should be able to." She handed him the glass and he picked it up.
"Cas, get heady to heal me if this doesn't work." He put the glass to his lips and tipped it back, allowing the liquid into his mouth. The second it touched his tongue his eyes widened. It tasted like metal shavings and electricity. It was also ice cold, despite not seeming to have been refrigerated. He swallowed and put the glass down, licking off his lips. Everyone was staring at him with wide eyes.
"What?" Metallicar lifted the glass, the reflective side showing his eyes as a bright blue before they faded back to green. He looked up at them and shrugged. "You know, that stuff's pretty good."
"Hold on. How can Dean try that and not get sick?" Metallicar nervously scratched the back of her head.
"Umm. Well. Dean has..." She sighed.
"I have a spark." Sam blinked in confusion.
"How?" Metallicar looked between everyone.
"Primus may or may not have tampered a little bit." Dean and Castiel both looked confused. "What? He told me that after I died. Right before he sent me back."
"Well hey, looks like they die and they really do meet their maker." Metallicar shot Dean a look and he raised his hands in innocence.
"What? Not even the angels meet theirs." Metallicar rolled her eyes.
"Dean, theirs is different given that Primus is Cybertron." He pointed at Castiel.
"Bingo." Dean blinked.
"That's just weird." She chuckled and finished off her energon before standing.
"Alright Dean. Time to go talk to your sister."
-
"I don't want to talk." Juliet called. "Not if you have Dean."
"Juliet. We need to know more about this demon. All of us do. So, will ya meet us in the main hangar in a few minutes?" Metallicar heard her sigh and the door cracked open.
"May as well get it over with." She walked beside Metallicar, who made sure Dean was to the other side.
Optimus and the other Autobots were waiting as the trio entered the hanger, Chromia up front with her sisters Arcee and Flare-Up. Everyone else was gathered in a circle, including Metallicar's alt. Her holoform vanished and she transformed, stretching out. She then sat down, several of the others following.
"Alright. So what do we need to know?"
-
Crowley stood between Castiel and the hangar doors, listening to Juliet tell them of the all to familiar demon. Though Crowley quickly scolded himself for the thoughts as he jumped at several bots moving.
He had finally managed to calm himself when the doors exploded inwards, Metallicar and the Autobots instantly shielding the humans as bits of metal flew, digging into their frames. Chromia picked up Juliet and shielded her with her rather petite frame. Once the smoke cleared they heard a deep chuckle.
"That is why I love to make an entrance. Now." Everyone focused on the bearer of the voice. "Crowley."
The man was in his twenties, his hair long and white. His green eyes pierced into each and every soul as he strolled in, garbed all in black.
"What in the name of hell are you doing helping the Winchesters?!" Crowley swore before hiding behind Castiel.
"Uh, no." Castiel instantly moved and hid behind Metallicar, Crowley following. She looked down at them in disbelief.
"What could he possibly do? He's a kid." Galloway growled. The demon shot a glare at him before flicking his hand. The man went flying against the wall and Metallicar glared at the demon before looking back to Castiel and Crowley.
"Are ya fucking serious?" She growled before looking to the man. "And who the pit do ya think ya are?" He chuckled.
"Autobot women. So cute when they're angry." She growled at him and he crossed his arms. "My name is Jason, the true king of hell. And I've come for my best friend."
"You're not going to get him. Crowley is under our protection as he saved Drift and Hijack."
"Oh I am well aware of this." He walked forwards and Metallicar lifted Crowley and Castiel into her servo. "I still want him back."
"Then you'll have to come get him." She turned on her heel and took off down the hall, heading for her room, where Dean still had the Devil's Trap set up. She stepped inside and went around the trap, standing on the other side as Dean and Castiel moved to hide it. He barely managed it as Jason came running in, walking directly onto the center or the over sized rug.
"Now, I think it best if you give him back." Metallicar smirked and transformed, her holoform appearing.
"Nope. Cause ya aren't going anywhere." He looked down and smirked before looking away from them.
"Now you guys out there see? This is why I find them all so cute. They really are entertaining." Metallicar glanced to Dean, who gave her the same confused look.
"Who's he talking to?"
"He's convinced that there are people out there watching us. Like some movie or book." Metallicar blinked and looked around, finding nothing.
"He's nuts." Dean pointed out. Jason turned to them with that and grinned.
"Now let's see how they feel about this." With that he began to walk forwards, nearing the end of the trap. "Oh dear, what am I to do now?"
"What is he doing?" Crowley paled.
"Mistake number one. Putting him in a trap." He backed away as Jason took one more step. Metallicar readied her weapon as he left the trap.
"Now. Let's talk about me getting Crowley back."
