Seokjin is worried. No, that isn't enough to describe the mix of emotions he currently is going through. Apart from the fact there's an actual bleeding man in a house only Taehyung has access to, he still can't believe that Namjoon is so calm about everything.

Not just Namjoon but everyone other than him is. Yoonji, even though her damn blood brother is in the house with a possible axe murderer, is just smoking a stick like nothing bad was happening at all.

It doesn't help that are tons of scents from all around him. There's that rough smoky smell from the Min twins, that slightly disgusting mixture of sweat and body wash from Hoseok and the strong vanilla perfume from Jungkook. Although the last two are in the house, he hates how their smells still linger near him.

Yoonji catches Seokjin's gaze and puffs smoke at his face. "You checkin' me out? Sorry but I'm not interested."

The strong smell of tobacco makes Seokjin go through a dry coughing fit. "God, that smells horrible."

"Deal with it," Yoonji smirks and puts the cig back in her mouth.

Seokjin rolls his eyes and looks away. He spots Namjoon, who silently stares at Jungkook's car with furrowed eyebrows. The windows are tinted so neither Jimin nor Taehyung could be seen from the inside.

It's quiet, too quiet. Seokjin feels that Yoonji isn't too keen on being in a conversation with him so he approaches Namjoon instead.

"So," Seokjin looks down at the cuffs of his sleeves. "I may have overreacted."

Namjoon glances and smiles. "Yeah, it's okay, I get why you were freaking out."

"I'm just," Seokjin grits his teeth. "Why in God's name is there some random bleeding guy in Taehyung's home? Hasn't he suffered enough?!"

Before Namjoon could answer, Yoonji steps forward. She holds the cig and taps it. Seokjin's nose scrunches as he's hit with that tobacco smell again. Ash falls to the ground.

"Could have been a robber," Smoke escapes Yoonji's mouth as she speaks. "To be honest, I'd sneak in here to steal some shit too. Maybe he fell to his death. Deserved it."

Namjoon raises your brow. "Your ideas disturb me sometimes."

"Just being practical," Yoonji shrugs and takes out a box of cigs from her skirt pocket. "Want a smoke?"

Seokjin pinches his nose and Namjoon shakes his head.

"You guys are boring," Yoonji laughs. "Nothing wrong with a stick."

"I might die if I end up swallowing something that smells like that."

"Okay, bubble boy. Whatever you say."

There's a silence that passes and Seokjin figures that he should at least check on Taehyung. So he leaves Yoonji and Namjoon behind and approaches Jungkook's car.

Seokjin stands in front of the door for a while. The window is heavily tinted but he still sees movements from inside the car. He knocks after a few seconds.

The shadows inside move and there's a seemingly panicked thunk as well. When the window rolls down, Seokjin sees Jimin sitting calmly in front of him.

"Hey, Seokjin," Jimin smiles.

Seokjin glances at Taehyung. He just sits there with his gaze to the floor. Since his face is covered by his fringe, he can't really make out his expression.

There's a strange smell from inside the car too. Seokjin can't really pinpoint it.

"Is Taehyung okay?," Seokjin asks with furrowed brows.

"I'm fine," Taehyung replies instead. "Thanks for asking. Sorry if I freaked out."

Seokjin and Jimin glance at each other for a bit. Then Jimin turns around towards Taehyung and grits his teeth.

"Don't say that," Jimin snaps. "You have every right to feel that way."

Taehyung finally looks up. His eyes are still swollen. He smiles at Jimin and nods. Just when he opens his mouth to speak, there's a small thunk from the window on the other side.

After Jimin jumps in his seat, Seokjin bends down a bit and sees a shadow planted on the window. He notices how Taehyung scoots away and sits closer to Jimin.

Seokjin is suddenly hit with the strong scent of iron that it makes his head spin for a few seconds. He rubs his temples a bit and stumbles on his feet.

"You okay?," Yoonji calls out from behind him.

"Hn," Seokjin waves. "Jimin, lock the doors."

There's a pause before Jimin slowly closes the window. Seokjin hears the click of the car lock before he walks around Jungkook's vehicle.

Seokjin can smell the horrible stench. It's so horrid, so pungent that it feels like the air is stabbing into his nose. Then he sees the person of stinky origin, their figure slumped against the side of the car.

The figure slams its head on the glass window repeatedly. Thunk. Thunk. Thunk. Seokjin feels chills run up and down his spine in multiple cycles.

Although Seokjin's limbs call for him to run, he holds his breath and approaches the person. "Uhm, excuse me?"

The person stops immediately. Seokjin watches the way they freeze and slowly lift their head. Only then did he realize that the person was actually a woman.

Her stringy brown hair sticks to her face like mud. Seokjin can only see a part of her wrist and even he can tell that she's unnaturally... grey. She just stands there silently, fingers tapping the glass.

Seokjin fidgets and aligns the words in his head. You stink, please go away— that's way too insulting. He's much better than that.

"Need some help?," Namjoon says suddenly from behind.

Normally, the sudden noise would surprise Seokjin, but instead he just glances at Namjoon and scrunches his nose.

This makes Namjoon sigh. "Alright, I'll take it from here."

Seokjin gladly steps back as Namjoon carefully approaches the woman. He watches him get closer and closer, then the woman flinches and finally raises her head.

The woman groans loudly and leaves behind a dark liquid on the car window as she moves. She tilts her head at Namjoon, who freezes upon seeing her face.

"Joon, I don't think you should get near her," Seokjin whispers with a hand on his face.

Namjoon glances over his shoulder. "Could you call an ambulance for me?"

Seokjin nods and reaches into his pocket to take out his phone. Before he could, he notices how the woman starts to move again and this time she makes strange gurgle noises. Her body snaps as she turns to face Namjoon.

That's when Seokjin actually gets to see her face. Her eyes are glazed in a creamy white texture, mouth hanging open to reveal dark drool. She limps slowly with her hand still on the door's glass window.

"Seokjin?," Namjoon raises a brow. "What's wrong?"

Seokjin doesn't say anything but Namjoon does turn around after the woman makes an inhumane and very deep moan. He stares at the woman, the woman stares back.

There's a dreadful silence that makes goosebumps rise on Seokjin's skin. He hears something shift behind him and turns to see Yoonji stand there with wide eyes, the lit cig in between her fingers.

"The fuck is that?," Yoonji says with wide eyes.

Somehow, that question is difficult to answer. Seokjin knows the woman is definitely a person but he can't seem to say that she is one. Just when he opens his mouth to answer, he hears Namjoon yelp loudly.

Seokjin turns around just in time to see the woman pounce at Namjoon. They both tumble to the ground. The woman growls loudly and bares her teeth.

It all happens so quickly that Seokjin actually forgets he can move. The woman is on top of Namjoon and bites into the air just in front of his face rabidly. That sticky, smelly dark drool drips onto his face and uniform.

Before either he or Yoonji could even react, the car door suddenly swings open. It hits the woman square in the face and knocks her away from Namjoon.

Seokjin holds his breath and drags Namjoon away with Yoonji's help. He then sees Jimin stumble out of the car and sprint towards the woman.

Taehyung exits the car after Jimin and screams. "Jimin! What are you doing?!"

"Holy shit, holy shit," Yoonji hisses as she drops her cig to the ground. "This— this is blood."

Surely enough, Seokjin is hit with the strong smell of iron once again. His head spins. He looks down at Namjoon and sees blotches of that unusually dark blood on white sleeves and torso. There are remnants on his face as well.

"I'm sorry, Joon," Seokjin covers his nose. "I just can't take this smell."

Namjoon rolls his eyes. "I'm fine, thank you."

"Jimin, stop! You're going to kill her!"

Upon hearing Taehyung's scream, Seokjin stands and turns around. He sees Jimin swinging his now bloody fists on top of the still growling woman.

Taehyung lunges and pulls Jimin back. "Stop it!"

Only when pulled back does Jimin eventually stop. He lets out a shaky breath and looks down at his blood hands. When he turns, Seokjin sees that dark blood on his cheeks as well.

"I-I'm sorry," Jimin's lips tremble as he speaks. "It's just— She attacked Namjoon and—"

Taehyung pulls Jimin into a tight hug but his expression is everything but relief. Seokjin decides to give those two some time to themselves and instead glances at the woman's body.

Her face is gone, skull caved in to reveal bits of bone and brain tissue. There's dark blood pooling underneath her. Seokjin nearly jumps out of his own skin because he swears to God that he sees her finger twitch.

"Holy cow, did you bash her brains in?"

"I didn't mean to— I'm not even that strong, I—"

Jimin pauses when Taehyung's front door slams open. Seokjin is hit with another scent of iron and swears that he actually blacks out for a few seconds.

"Yoongi?!," Yoonji screams. "What happened?!"

Seokjin turns and sees Yoonji scramble towards Yoongi. At first he doesn't see anything wrong with him until he notices that his left leg is coated in fresh red blood.

Jungkook walks in behind him and surely enough, there's blood all over him as well. Only Hoseok seems unscathed by the literal bloodbath.

"Are you two okay?," Namjoon asks calmly from the ground.

"Shouldn't we be asking you that?!," Hoseok screeches. "You're on the ground, covered in blood!"

"Hold the fuck up, can someone explain what happened?!," Yoonji screams in a panic.

"Yoonji, I'm fine," Yoongi smiles. "Blood isn't mine."

"Same here," Namjoon replies as he stands.

God. Seokjin can't help but stay bothered by how Namjoon somehow remains calm in any situation, one hundred percent of the time. Still, he thinks it's better than being screamer like Hoseok.

"So there really was an axe murderer in my house?," Taehyung asks.

His question makes everyone turn to face him. Everyone goes silent at the sight of Jimin's bloody fists and the woman's mangled body.

But the way Taehyung asks something like that so easily is a bit unsettling for Seokjin.

"No but there was a zombie," Yoongi says casually as Yoonji continues to inspect him thoroughly.

Another silence comes. Everyone gives him a look. Jimin stands with Taehyung's help and rubs off the blood on his hands by wiping his pants.

"I'm sorry but did you just say zombie?," Jimin furrows his brows together.

"Okay, before I get called loose in the head," Yoongi raises both his hands up. "Let me explain. First, that fucker who attacked me was rotting, I mean with his skin hanging off his bones. I don't know about you guys but that sounds like a damn zombie to me."

Nobody says anything, which makes Seokjin speak up. "Isn't anyone going to call bullshit on what Yoongi just said?"

"If that thing over there didn't try to bite my face off," Namjoon gestures to the woman. "Maybe I would."

Seokjin heaves out a loud sigh. He runs a hand through his hair and covers his nose again due to the still lingering rotten stench.

"Zombies don't exist," Seokjin speaks into his palm. "They're in comics, movies, video games— but not real life, not in our damn time."

Although Seokjin faces away from the group, he still feels everyone's gazes bore into the back of his head.

"Maybe we should think practically first?," Jimin suggests. "What if it's just a bad case of rabies or..."

Jimin trails off into silence and Hoseok speaks instead. "Isn't the zombie virus in movies exactly like a bad case of rabies though?"

"Not helping, Hoseok," Jungkook shakes his head.

Hoseok shrugs. "I'm just saying."

"I'd rather believe that these things are zombies."

Seokjin blinks and glances at Taehyung. He still has Jimin's bloody figure in his arms, more like he refuses to let go of him. His arms are tense around his figure.

"I mean, if this thing was a zombie, that means it was already dead," Taehyung rambles with a blank expression. "So Jimin isn't a murderer."

The air thickens instantly and it's almost like Seokjin can smell the tension. He sees Namjoon run a hand down his face.

"Taehyung," Jimin whispers with a frown.

"You're safe, Jimin, you're safe," Taehyung smiles. "You're not a murderer, you're not—"

Taehyung is cut off by a sudden loud static from within the car and Seokjin realizes that one of the doors is still wide open. Jungkook glances around before he walks over to the driver's side and enters the vehicle.

A few seconds pass until Jungkook exists through the passenger side. His hand leaves a bloody print on the glass.

"It's an emergency broadcast."

Everyone glances at each other as Jungkook increases the radio's volume. Seokjin stares at the bloody handprint as a male voice starts to speak.

"This is an emergency broadcast brought to you by the South Korean Government."

There's a pause then a rustle of what sounds like paper. Seokjin hears movement behind him and sees both Taehyung and Jimin walk closer, no longer stuck to each other like glue.

"There are have been reports from all over the state of people attacking bystanders for no apparent reason. We suggest those who see any suspicious figures to not approach them and stay indoors."

Seokjin glances at the woman's corpse and grimaces at the smell. He wishes for it to go away.

"Please do not believe in rumors of a rabid virus that has spread across the country. As of now, we have nothing to confirm. Please stay safe everyone and God bless you all."

The broadcast ends with a buzz and cheerful music starts to play. Seokjin leans on the car and thinks. Nobody says anything for a moment.

"So that definitely sounded like a broadcast from a zombie movie," Hoseok says as he kicks a pebble on the floor.

"Please stop with the zombie shit," Seokjin rubs his temples. "You heard what they said, nothing to confirm."

"As if the government was ever honest," Yoonji says as she lights another cig.

Yoongi nods and accepts the lighter that Yoonji passes. "Word."

"I agree with the Mins on this one," Namjoon says as he wipes the blood off his cheek with his sleeve. "They could be preventing mass panic, for all we know."

Seokjin facepalms. "I can't believe we're considering this."

"What are we supposed to do now?," Jungkook sighs and leans on the passenger seat. "So much for a good day to ditch school."

"Maybe we should go back?," Jimin suggests with a small pout.

"While we're all bloody?," Taehyung shakes his head. "Not a good idea."

"We could go to our house."

Yoongi has an arm on Yoonji's shoulder. He flicks the gem studded lighter in his hands and flashes a bright red flame for a split second.

"We live on the next street," Yoongi exhales smoke. "I'm sure we have some clothes for everyone there, except for Seokjin."

"Yo, what," Seokjin squints. "Why me?"

"Cos' your fucking shoulders are too wide for this world."

"You're just jealous, you damn midget."

Yoongi just snickers puts the stick back into his mouth. Seokjin continues to narrow his eyes at him.

"If you two are done, we should go," Yoonji grins and waves her empty cig box. "Gon' need to resupply my shit."

Since there isn't much protest from the others, everyone shuffles into the cars with their original groupings. Seokjin sits on the driver seat and glances at the rearview mirror. Yoonji puts out both hers and Yoongi's cig.

"Sorry about the smell," Yoongi says and props his bloody leg next to Seokjin's headrest.

Seokjin scrunches his nose. "I swear to God—"

Yoongi just laughs and lowers his leg. "Turn the corner before you miss our street, dumbass."

A bit surprised that they're already at the street, Seokjin nearly swerves his car. Yoongi swears as he hits the glass window whilst Yoonji just casually sticks her foot out to balance yourself.

"Sorry," Seokjin sticks his tongue out.

He doesn't see either of the twins' reactions when he parks just in front of their house. Seokjin exits the car and glances at the building. It's fairly small compared to Taehyung's mansion and has a stairwell that leads deep underground.

Seokjin has been here only once but the image of their house is branded into his mind. He hears chimes ring from the window. He turns to it and sees that the window is halfway into the ground.

"Home sweet home," Yoonji flickers her lighter on. "You know mom and dad are going to beat our asses right?"

"We can always talk our way out of it," Yoongi chuckles and fishes out a set of keys from his pocket.

Everyone gathers behind Yoongi as he stumbled to unlock their front door. Seokjin watches as the door swings open and his head spins again when he's hit by yet another strong scent.

Seokjin nearly barfs. It's a familiar smell, almost rotting. He discreetly covers his mouth with his sleeve— then he wonders, why is that smell in there?

Since Yoongi just walks in without hesitation, Seokjin concludes that he hasn't caught the smell yet. He debates with himself whether to tell them or not but by the time he's made the decision, he's already inside.

So Seokjin follows anyways with his hand still over his nose. He's greeted by the familiarly narrow walls. Namjoon himself has to bend down to fit through the hallway.

This time, something else mixes with the rotting smell. There's a strong scent of burnt tobacco. Seokjin isn't sure if that's from the house or from Yoonji, who stands right in front of him.

"Mom! Dad!," Yoongi calls out and goes deeper into the hallway. "Just need some clothes then we're bouncing!"

No reply comes and Yoonji just shrugs. Seokjin glances around at the doors they pass. They're all marked with stencil and he recognizes the handwriting as Yoongi's— Kitchen, My room, Yoonji's room, etc.

Yoonji suddenly opens the door to her room. Seokjin peeks from behind her and sees some very colorful posters stuck on the walls.

"No peeping," Yoonji hisses and slams the door to his face.

Seokjin raises a brow and walks away. They pass by the living room area and Hoseok almost immediately crashes onto their poorly patched couch. It makes a squeak under his weight.

"Feel at home, guys!," Yoongi calls out from the darkness.

Taehyung sits next to Hoseok and the others who have much more blood on them decide to stand. Seokjin feels dread pool at the pits of his stomach and feels like staying in the living room will not do him much good.

So Soekjin gives some lame excuse to follow Yoongi and walks back into the hallway. The deeper he goes in, the darker it gets. It takes a while for his eyes to adjust until he finally sees a lightbulb just overhead.

After feeling the wall for a bit, Seokjin finds a lights witch and flicks it on. It sparks all of a sudden and makes him jump so he decides to leave it off.

"Yoongi?!," Seokjin yells out. "Dude, where you at?!"

Seokjin is a thousand percent sure that the Mins' hallway isn't this long. Just starts to wonder if he's walking too slowly, he sees light at the corner and a shadow of a person standing just to his right.

Relief washes over Seokjin as he turns to see Yoongi standing at the doorway. "Thank God, I thought I was going to walk down there forever."

Yoongi doesn't say anything. Seokjin is about to ask why he's so frozen when he notices the scratch marks on the door and the stencil writing that says Master Bedroom.

"Yoongi?," Seokjin tilts his head. "Hey, what's—"

A low groaning noise resonates from inside the bedroom and makes Seokjin freeze. Only then does he realize that the rotting smell is more powerful than ever.

Something crushes under Seokjin's foot. He looks down and sees a shattered framed family photo of the Mins, except there's fresh blood smeared on the glass.

Seokjin gently pushes Yoongi aside and sees something straight out of a horror film. Items in the bedroom are strewn about with glass shards and torn curtain cloth littered across the ground. There are bloody handprints on the decaying wallpaper.

At the center of the room is Yoongi's mother's corpse. Her eyes are blank with blood dripping down the corners of her mouth. Guts spill out of her mutilated stomach and lay about her blood stained pajamas.

And his father sits right next to her— chewing. Seokjin stares and sees him gnawing intestines. His skin is grayish, hair stringy like paper. He chews and chews and splush and munch sounds resonate across the quiet room.

Seokjin slowly grabs Yoongi and pulls him to his side. He quietly shuts the door and the two are suddenly back in the darkness.

There's a long silence. Seokjin stares at Yoongi through the darkness and barely sees his pale face. He stares at the ground and places the cig back between his lips.

"Yoongi, I—"

"Tell that others what you saw," Yoongi exhales a large cloud of smoke. "I'll deal with Yoonji."

Yoongi walks away before Seokjin can say anything. He glances at the door behind him and winces at the image that surely will forever be burned into his long term memory.

It doesn't take too long until Seokjin reaches the living room, maybe because his mind is too clouded by thoughts. He walks in just in time to see both Namjoon and Jungkook strip off their uniforms to reveal white undershirts.

"Uhm, you okay?," Jungkook blinks. "You look like you've seen a ghost."

Seokjin sighs and runs a hand through his hair. "This whole thing is messed up."

"What do you mean?," Jimin asks with a worried glance.

Before Seokjin can reply, there's loud screaming from the hallway. Yoonji comes to view as she passes by the living room's doorway. Yoongi tails behind her with a panicked look.

"That's not a fucking funny joke, Yoongi!," Yoonji hisses loudly. "Screw it, I'm checking on them myself!"

"Yoonji, stop!," Yoongi screams back and follows her into the hallway.

"Seokjin," Hoseok asks with a look of terror. "What's going on?"

Damn it. Seokjin clicks his tongue. "Everyone stay here."

"Wait!"

Seokjin takes off and nearly slams his shoulder onto the concrete wall. He hears the twins' voices up ahead and runs until he sees their figures.

Yoongi and Yoonji both have their backs facing Seokjin. Despite that, he still can see the third figure in front of them. He recognizes the grayish skin, the rotting smell and the blood smeared all over his face.

"Oh, it's just Mr. Min."

Hoseok's cheer makes Seokjin realize that the others are standing right behind him in a squished pile. He glances at Namjoon, who shrugs and raises both his hands in the air in defeat.

"Hi, Mr. Min!," Hoseok smiles and waves.

"Are you blind?," Taehyung mocks with a flat tone. "That's not Mr. Min anymore."

"Huh?"

"Dad?," Yoonji asks with trembling hands. "Hey, this isn't the time for your damn jokes! Did you and Yoongi set me up to this?!"

There's a silence as (formerly) Mr. Min growls loudly. Seokjin actually hears Yoongi gulp nervously.

"Yoonji, that's not dad," Yoongi whispers quietly and holds his twin's shoulder.

"Shut up!," Yoonji pushes him away. "There's no such fucking thing as zombies! This is real life, not some dumb horror flick!"

"Then how do you explain what we saw?!," Yoongi screams. "He was eating mom!"

A few gasps ring from the group behind Seokjin. The horrifying image flashes in his mind again and he feels the bile rise in his throat.

Yoonji fails to answer and instead of another shout from her, Mr. Min growls loudly. This time he actually pounces at the twins with bared teeth and dark drool spilling out of his decaying mouth.

It happens so unexpectedly that Seokjin himself fails to react. Thankfully, Yoongi's instincts kick in almost as quickly as his father pounces so he grabs Yoonji by the collar of her jacket and pulls her away.

Yoonji reaches out to her father and her finger nearly gets chomped off. Both twins tumble on top of each other on the ground near Seokjin's feet.

"Holy shit!," Jimin screeches in high pitch.

Mr. Min is about to pounce again when a bloody uniform is suddenly thrown to his face. As he struggles, Seokjin turns and sees Jungkook with his arm still extended.

"Get up your asses and run!," Seokjin screams as he pulls the twins to their feet.

Since Yoonji is still hesitant about the whole thing, Yoongi ends up nearly carrying her as the group dashes back into the living room. That area has no door so Seokjin can still perfectly hear Mr. Min chase after them.

"Holy shit, holy fucking shit!," Jimin rambles in a panic and grabs his silver hair. "What the hell was that?! Did Mr. Min just attack us?!"

Seokjin instinctively does a headcount. Yoongi holds Yoonji close as they both tremble on the couch. Taehyung is calming down an obviously panicking Jimin. Hoseok and Jungkook are both in a daze.

Wait. Seokjin yells. "Where is Namjoon?!"

Jimin's eyes widen even more. "What did you just fucking say?! Namjoon is missing?!"

"Jimin calm down! I'm sure he's just around here—"

Another growl cuts off Jungkook. Mr. Min limps at the doorway whilst tearing away the bloody uniform on his face.

"Aren't zombies supposed to be fast?! How the hell did he already catch up?!"

"That's not a zombie, that's our fucking dad!"

"Open your eyes! That's not your dad!"

"Don't scream at my sister!"

In the midst of the arguments and chaos, Seokjin glances around the room for any sort of weapon, any tool for defense. His eyes land on a flower vase on the dusty coffee table.

Seokjin holds his breath and snatches the vase. He spills out the water and flowers inside and swings it at Mr. Min's head. It shatters upon contact.

The room goes silent as everyone stares. Mr. Min has ceramic shards in his face and there's a huge gash across his cheek. Despite that, he turns towards Seokjin.

"Oh shit," Seokjin whispers.

Mr. Min groans angrily and pounces at Seokjin, who falls to the ground under his weight. The smell is overwhelming and he feels his gut churn in this stomach.

"Seokjin!," Someone screams, he can't really tell who.

"God damn it!," Seokjin screams. "This smell is going to kill me!"

As Mr. Min ecstatically chomps the air, Seokjin pushes him away. He shuts his mouth as a mixture of blood and dark drool drips down on his face.

"Someone help him?! Anyone?!"

Seokjin is dizzy. The horrid stench gets to his head every time he inhales. Just when he feels like he's about to lose consciousness, he hears a loud splurch from just above him.

After Seokjin gathers his courage, he opens his eyes and sees a knife blade through Mr. Min's head. One of his eyeballs pops out and rolls down onto his cheek.

When the knife retreats and Mr. Min collapses, Seokjin sees Namjoon standing just across him. He drops the bloody knife to the ground and extends his hand.

Seokjin stands with Namjoon's help and glanced at Mr. Min'd corpse. No signs of flinching or twitching— he's dead, actually dead this time.

The long silence breaks when Namjoon speaks. "Yoongi, Yoonji— I'm really sorry."

Neither of the twins say anything. Yoonji has hear face buried in the crook of Yoongi's neck. Her brother acknowledges Namjoon's words and gives him a small smile.

Hoseok runs both of his hands through his hair. "What just happened?"

"In retrospect, I almost fucking died," Seokjin picks up the bloody knife. "Thanks for that, Joon."

Namjoon nods but his expression is anything but grateful. Nobody talks for a while and Seokjin understands the silence.

There's a shuffling from the hallway. Seokjin makes a gesture at Namjoon and decides to inspect the noise. He has an idea of what it is and grips the knife tightly in his hands.

Surely enough, Mrs. Min is on the ground. She crawls towards Seokjin desperately by clawing on the ground. Her guts leave a bloody trail on the path as she inches closer.

Seokjin stares for a moment. He slowly walks towards Mrs. Min, who reaches up at him with her bleeding fingers. With his eyes shut tight, he stabs her in the head.

His hand shakes as he leaves the knife in her head. Seokjin slaps his hands together and starts to pray. "I'm so sorry, Mrs. Min."

"Seokjin."

Seokjin glances over his shoulder and spots Namjoon near the living room's doorway. He glances at Mrs. Min's body for a few and almost looks away instantly.

"There's another broadcast," Namjoon says and quickly slips back inside.

After Seokjin wipes his bloody hands on his shirt, he stands up and follows Namjoon back inside. The group is gathered around a small radio that rests on a tiny shelf on the well.

There's only static at first then Yoonji slaps the shit out of it. Yoongi rubs her shoulder as the signal finally clears.

"This is an emergency broadcast brought to you by the South Korean Government. There have been official reports of a nationwide virus that has plagued the country."

Silence. Seokjin sighs and continues to listen.

"It is unsure where this virus originated from but we know that those infected become rabid and attack anyone in sight. We advise anyone who is not infected to stay indoors until further—"

The reporter suddenly pauses. A few whispers later, he clears his throat alongside the sound of rustling paper.

"Breaking news. We have just been informed of the Prime Minister's announcement. South Korea is now in a state of calamity. The government will release information on emergency evacuation shelters soon in all major cities. Until then, please stay safe everyone. God bless us all."

The radio broadcast ends with a click and now there is nothing but static. Seokjin glances around and notices that everyone is just staring emptily into the air.

"Yoongi," Seokjin takes a deep breath. "I hate to admit this but you may be right."

Everyone faces Seokjin. He can't help but laugh at the whole situation they're in, at how a completely normal day spiraled down into something like this in the span of barely an hour.

"Welcome to the fucking zombie apocalypse."

A/N — and so it begins. again, sorry for the violence and gore but this will be the story's nature/theme. also rip mr and mrs. min lol anyways the apocalypse has hit the team with full force! it will still get worse so stay tuned ;)))
