1. The Hogwarts Express

The sunlight filtered in through the smoke billowing from the engine, giving it a pinkish tint. Amid the ensuing activity at Platform 9 ¾, Odin and Frigga were seeing their children off.

"Promise me you'll be good, and won't get into trouble, children," Frigga said, her eyebrows raised knowingly. The chaos on the train platform only grew as more students boarded the Hogwarts Express, yelling goodbye to their parents and bustling off to find their classmates.

"Mother, we'll be fine, I assure you," Thor replied, smiling, as Frigga hugged him one last time.

"Loki, try not to cause mayhem with your illusions, my boy," Odin said, placing his hand on the young raven-haired boy's shoulder. "And Thor, don't challenge everyone you meet to a duel, son," the Asgardian kind added, placing his other hand on Thor's shoulder.

Loki nodded. He turned to Frigga. "Good bye, mother," he said, smiling slightly, something he didn't do often with anyone else. The two boys picked up their trunks and walked towards the train, glancing back to get one last look of their parents.

"And Hela, do take care of your brothers," Odin called out to the black haired teenager who had already gotten onto the Hogwarts Express. She pulled down the hood of her black jacket and stuck her head out of the window. "I'll try my best, father," she replied with a smirk.

"Farewell!" Thor called out from the window as he and Loki waved one last time and followed their elder sister to find a compartment inside the train. Odin and Frigga waved to the three siblings, before the train started its journey, the smoke billowing from its engine like shimmering mist.

"Is this compartment taken?" Thor enquired, pausing at the door of a compartment with Loki behind him. The person inside glanced at them and shook his head, brushing back his smooth, blond hair.

"Uh, no. It's just me. Have a seat if you like," the boy replied as he shifted his trunk to make room for them.

"Thank you," Thor replied, gesturing for his brother to follow him.
"My name's Thor. This is my brother, Loki," he introduced himself with a polite smile, taking a seat next to the other boy.

"I'm Draco. Draco Malfoy," the boy said, extending a hand towards Thor and then Loki. "I don't mean to be rude, but you two don't share much resemblance for brothers," he added with a questioning gaze.

Loki shrugged and rolled back the sleeve of his green shirt. "I'm adopted," he remarked casually. Thor rolled his eyes and looked out of the window.

"My dear brothers seem to have settled down," a voice came from the door, as Hela appeared to check on them. She gazed at the boys through the black hair half falling over her eyes. Two people appeared behind her.

"This is Fred Weasley," she stated, gesturing towards a tall, red-haired boy with freckles. "And Vinda Rosier." She nodded to a shorter girl with jet black hair beside her. "My fellow Slytherin friends," Hela added with a slight smile.

"Slytherin is where I'm headed myself," Draco spoke up, and introduced himself to Odin's daughter. "You remind me of my aunt Bellatrix," he added with a smirk.

Hela shrugged. "I'm sure she'd be honoured," she replied and turned her gaze to her brothers.

"We shall be in the next compartment, should you need anything," she said, gazing at Loki a little longer. Thor scoffed. Of course Loki was her favourite brother.

Loki nodded. "Thank you, Hela. Although we aren't infants," he replied, earning a glare from his sister. She turned on her heel and walked out, leaving her brothers with Draco.

Thor turned to see Loki gazing out of the window. He sighed and picked up a book from his trunk. "Father wished you to behave, brother," he said and threw the book at Loki. The book went through the illusion. Loki sighed and emerged from his spot near the door.

"Just something to keep me entertained." Loki shrugged and took a seat again.

Draco stared wide-eyed at the spectacle. "How? What...?" he began, not comprehending the illusion. Loki smirked and threw the book back at Thor.

"You'll get used to it," he stated.

Four hours later, Hogwarts drew near.
