He arrives at the camp, demanding he should be given custody of the crystal dagger so he can present it before King Forthwind-- but the Captains and Squad leaders collectively refuse, saying they would not give it to anyone without the king's direct order.

Miveresk leaves begrudgingly, saying he would be back for the dagger. 

Now, Farren comes up with an idea to trick him-- in case he does come back.
