I had a super fun time writing this chapter, so I hope you like it!

Pelco's POV

I'd like to tell you that despite my dire situation, I kept under control, that I used my wites to save myself.
But honestly, my only thought was:

AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right at the last second, my wings obeyed my brain, and I brought myself to a not-so-smooth landing.

"Ow."
I sat up slowly, my body still aching from the fall.
"That's going to hurt in the morning."

When I flew up, the mysterious hooded dragon was gone.

"Damn it!", I swore under my breath.

Now that that issue was out of the way, I could focus on the real issue:

WHERE THE HELL AM I?!

"Ok, I was running in that direction when I fell, so, the enterance should be that way."

I retraced my steps until I came to two starcases.

"OK, one of these got me into this mess, so, one of 'em's going to get me out."

I decided to try the staircase on the right.
But when I got the top of the staircase, I found myself staring at a blank wall.

"Are you kidding me?! What staircase has a dead-end?!"

I wish Oaktail was here; he's so funny he could make history class with Webs enjoyable. . . . . .
Yep, I'm totally lovesick.

My legs still hurt from the fall, which made climbing up stairs harder than it already would have been.

"Why are there so many stairs in here?! This place is the worst!!!"

When I finaly made it to the top of the stairs, I followed the sound of voices coming from the kichen.

"She's been gone at east two hours!", Oaktail said.
His usualy calm voice was now raked with concern.

"But, where coud she be? We've searched the whole school", Tody said.

"I'm right here", I told them weakly.
But before I could reach them, my muscles gave out, and I colapsed.
I would have hit the floor if Oaktail hadn't caught me.

"Pelco!", Oaktail cried.
He looked like the sun had been hidden from the whole day and now he'd suddenly found it.

He's way out of my legue.

"Where have you been? You missed supper", Tody said.

"Really? Have I really been gone for two hours?", I asked.

"Where in Pyrrhia did you go to come back looking like this?", Bumblebee asked.

I looked down and realized what a sight I must be.
There were large cuts across my wings, tallons and tail.
You'd think I was attcked rather than gotten my injuries being reckless.

"You just sit right there and relax, Pelco, and I'll fix you some food", Dusky told me.

"Hey, Dusk, could you fix me some ice-cream while you're at it?", Bumblebee asked.

"You got, Bumble", Dusky said.

For the first time, I noticed how Dusky looked at Bumblebee.
Oaktail noticed it too, and grinned.

Dusky, a sweet,loyal introvert.
And Bumblebee, a ferocious, bubbly extrovert.

To put it mildly; CUTEST.COUPLE.EVER.

"So, where were you?", Cliff asked.

"I saw the leafwing who attcked Damselfly. I tried to follow him, but, he spotted me and ran. I chased him into the caves leading deeper into the mountain.I almost caught up to him, when I fell into a hole. When I flew up, he was gone."

"Here you go, Pelco", Dusky said putting a plate infront of me.

"Pelco, earlier today, when we were flying together, I thought I heard a waterfall. Do you want to go exploring with me next Saturday?", Oaktail asked.

"I'd love to!", I answered without a moment's hesatation.

Wait a second, is this a date?

Oaktail stiffend a yawn.

"It's okay, Oatail.You can go to your sleeping cave if you're tired. I feel a lot better now", I asured him.

"I guess I am kind of tired" he said, yawning.

"See you tomarow, Pelco."

When he was gone, Bumblebee let out a little squeal of excitement.

"Can I choose the jewlery for your date?",she asked.

I blushed.
"Date? Who ever said it was a date? We're just going out exploring together", I told her.

Cliff and Tody exchanged smirks.

"Sure, you can choose my earrings, as long as you stop calling it a date."

"Deal",Bumblebee agreed.

After I finished eatting, I left to go to my sleeping cave, but not before I heard Cliff say,

"She clearly has a crush on Oaktail."

"Yep", Tody agreed.

TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU by evil strawberries

"Are you sure you're okay with this, Auklet? What if something happens, and I lose one of these?", I asked.

"Don't worry, Pelco, I have lots of earrings it won't make any difference", Auklet asured me.

I chose a pair of earrings from the sevral pairs Auklet and Bumblebee had brought for me.

The earrings I chose were blue stones, on top of which was a small octopuss.

Afterc chosing a matching armband to add an extra flare, I thanked Auklet and Bumblebee, and flew off to meet Oaktail.

"Are you read-" I took off before Oaktail could finsh.
"I guess that's a yes."

The river sparkled in the sunlight as we flew over it.

I flew coser to the water, my wings just barely skipping over it's surfece.
Small waves flew up as I did a flip before gaining altidude again.

"Show-off", Oaktai said with a fake expression of annoyence.

"Ok, you do it then", I dared him.

Oaktail swooped down closer to the water. But, when he tried to do a flip, he lost altidude completly, and fell in the water.

I laughed so hard I nearly fell out of the sky.

"Wha!", I yelled as Oaktail pounced on me, dunking my head under water.
I sat up, spraying water into Oaktail's face.

"It's good to be a seawing!"

"Come on, Pelco, we're almost at the waterfall", Oaktail said, laughing.

We went upriver until the sound of falling water filled our ears.
I closed my eyes to listen to the soothing sounds of nature; the water fall, the sound of wind blowing through the trees.

I opened my eyes again.

"What's the most beautiful thing here?", Oaktail asked.

"The water fall."

"Nope, it's the forest", he corrected.

"Water."

"Forest."

I looked behind him and realized that a vine a white flowers was growing up a tree at an unatural pace.

"You have Leafspeak!", I cried.

"My Leafspeak is kind of weak actually.I have friends back in Pantala who have amazing leafspeak", he said modestly.

"What's it like? Is it like telepathy? how do you make a plant grow like that?", I asked.

"It's kind of like telepathy, yes. What you do to make a plant grow taller depends on the pants. But, in most cases, all you realy need to do is encourage the plant."

"So, you're telling me that they have feelings and thoughts?", I asked.

"Yes, trees most of all. None of them have dragon-level intelect, but, trees are as close as they come", he answered.

"So, you can grow any plant that's already there even if it's still a seed?"

"Well, for me it's easier to grow a plant that's already above ground, bu, yes, and as I said, there are dragons who can do it better than me."

He closed his eyes for a moument.

"Have you ever seen a Wisteria tree before?", he asked.

"No, why?"

"That little plant right there is a Wisteria seedling", he said, pointing to a small tree with one of his claws.

He closed his eyes and consintrated.

The seedling begain to grow taller and taller, untill it stood at least ten feet tall.

"Whoa", I breathed, gazing in awe at the tree's beautifu purple flowers.

"That's incredible."

"We should be heading back soon; I promissed Tody we'd pactice our lines with him and his friends", Oaktail said.

"There's a trail leading through the forest. Let's use that insted of flying."

As we walked throught the forest, small white flowers bloomed.

"Pelco, there's something I want to ask you. I know we met to less than three weeks ago, but the way you make me feel is different than anything else I've ever felt before."
oaktai picked a blue flower before continuing.

"Will you date me?", he blurted.

Oh, maybe he does like me after all.

"Yes, Oaktail."
I stepped closer to him so that I could twin my tail around his.

He bent down and gently placed the flower behind my ear.

Blue flowers bloomed all round us.

I looked into his beautiful blue eyes until I became lost in them.
Oaktail leaned in, and planted a kiss on my cheek.
We stood there for a long moment, looking into each other's eyes.

"Oh, crap, what will we do when Auklet and Bumblebee find out?", I asked.

"Love finds a way", Oaktail told me poeticly.

"So wise", I teased.

"Yep, that's me, wisest Leafwing ever to set foot in Pyrrhia."

"Race you to Jade mountain!"

Oaktail's POV

Where is that script?

I looked on the shelf.

No sign of it.

I looked on the desk and there it was.

What leaf-brained idiot put it there?

Oh, right, that was me.

I paused infont of the door and listened to Pelco's converesation with Bumblebee, Auklet and Cliff.

"So, how'd it go?"

"It was great! I loved it!", Pelco answered.

I smiled to myself.

"So, you two are boyfriend and girlfriend now?', Cliff asked.

Even from here, I could tell Pelco was blushing.

"How did you-"

I burst through the door.

"Pelco, your boyfriend's here!"
