Part 3
Raindrop wakes up feeling tired and worn. When she notices that flame is gone, salt water momentrily mixes with rain water as she sits and cries. But as she walks around the forset, she sees a light burning outside a huge house just on the edge of the treeline. Her tiny, liquid heart flutters as she dares to entertain the possibility that Flame didn't leave of his own will but was taken from her. It is sunset again when she finally reaches the house. As she climbs up the tall, wooden deck railing, she sees Flame burning in a glass oil lamp at the top. She finally reaches him. He pounds on the glass, smiling, just happy to be in her presence.
Raindrop sits down as close to him as she can. She yawns as they look up at the now star-speckled sky together. She yawns, and quickly nods off to sleep.
Flame's eyelids start to droop too. But just before he falls asleep, he notices something. The heat from his lamp is causing Raindrop to turn to steam and float away! He screams, he ylls, he pounds on the glass, but she never wakes, and soon there is no more Raindrop.
