Flame and Raindrop find a large, flat rock and climb on top of it. Raindrop stares at the sunset, but Flame has eyes only forn her. The sky is streaked with purples and yellows and reds, but Flame doesn't care. All he needs is what is right in front of him. Slowly, he and Raindrop drift off to sleep.

When Flame wakes, he notices that Raindrop is significantly smaller than she was last night. With a jolt, he realizes that she is evaporating. Leaving her to sleep, he quietly jumps down from the rock to do find a leaf or something that he can put over her head until night comes again.

Finally, he finds a rock that he can put above her the give her shade. He is about to pick it up when a human comes along with a stick. He jabs the stick at Flame, forcing him to stay on the stick. Against his will, Flame is carried away, leaving the rock laying on the ground and Raindrop far away.
