I ran. Thats the only thing I could do. So I ran, not only for myself but for my family. I ran for my mom and dad. I ran for my aunts and uncles. I. Just. Ran. Cause thats what they told me to do. I ran hoping beyond all hope tjat they would survive and come after me.

I ran as far as my little five-year-old legs would carry me before collapsing. I rolled onto my back and looked into the sky, hoping to see one of my family members flying above looking for me even though, some how, deep down i knew they didn't make it out of our cave alive. Soon I felt myself fall into a state of deep sleep.

When I awoke I found myself in a place i didn't recognize and, being only five, began to panic, fighting to get out from whatever it was that was covering me. The moment i escaped it i jumped off the cloud thing i was on and ran out what seemed to be the entrance only to find myself in a cave of sorts filled with people looking at me. At this point i was beyond terrified and in tears as i attempted to get away.

I dodged arms and legs as the people tried to catch me but i was to small and fast. As soon as i got to the entrance i noticed it was blocked by some strange type of wood and struggled to get it out of the way. Since i was to focused on the wood i didn't notice the person sneak up on me until i felt a pair of strong arms wrap around my middle and pick me up, so i did the only thing i could do and struggled, kicking and screaming, as they carried me somewhere. Soon i began crying as the person carried me away from my escape.

They took me to another one of the wood barriers and opened it with one hand using a metal thing sticking out of it. They entered another cave thing, turned and closed the wood barrier and turned another metal thing on the first one making it click before putting me on a different cloud thing then the one I woke up on. As I looked around the cave looking for a way to get out I saw 7 people before the person that brought me here came out from behind me and walked over to them.

"Natsu? What's going on?" the little man asked.

"She was trying to run away." the man who brought me here, who I now knew as Natsu, replied. They all looked towards me before continuing.

"The poor thing must be terrified..." said the blondie as she came over to me. As she went to touch me I growled and did a small roar, warning her to back off or else I would attack. Luckily she got the hint and backed off.

Suddenly Natsu sniffed the air and whispered something to the blue haired girl that looked to be almost 9 years older then me and a black haired man that had metal all over his face. I tilted my head trying to hear what he said but it was to quiet, even for my hearing. soon the small man came over only to reseve a warning growl from me. He respected that I wanted space and stayed where he was.

"Can you answer some questions for us child?" asked the old man. I only nodded hesitently in response.

"Good. Can you tell us your name sweeite?" the woman with white hair asked.

"Baransu...." my voice was horse as I stated my name since I hadn't used it in a while. I noticed Natsu narrow his eyes at me so I pointed at him. "Summer.."

He looked at me weirdly, "what?"

"Your name, Natsu. It translates to summer." Stated blondie.

"Yes. That is correct Lucy." Said the short man, "just as Baransu translates to balance." Finally the red haired girl spoke up.

"I am Erza. The blond is Lucy, Natsu is the one that brought you here, Gajeel is the one with the metal studs, Wendy is the one with blue hair, Mira is the one in red, Gray is the one without clo- Gray! Clothes!- and finally master Mokarov of Fairy Tail."

That's when Gray decided to speak up, "why were you out in the forest alone? Where are your parents?"

"And why do you smell like dragon's, six to be exact." Stated Natsu, "and more importantly why do two of them smell like Ignell and Grandeenie and one smell similar to Matalicana?"

Gray desided to say something about that, "you sure flame brain?"

"I think us dragon slayers would know our parents sents ice princess." Natsu shot back, but before things could get to far Erza spoke up.

"Both of you shut up. Your scaring the poor thing." She said, "now dear can you answer the question?"

My voice still sore from the lack of use and it hurt to try and say anything so instead of speaking I pointed to the weird rock thing that mommy and daddy called a desk and made a motion to signify writing on a piece of paper. Mira understood and gave me a little feather my parents caled a quill and a piece of paper. I wrote down what I wanted to tell them carefully so they could read it and showed it to them.

"'Mommy and daddy told me to run because they smelled bad things and said that they would come and find me when they where able to. Uncles Igneall and Kaze stayed behind with aunties Grandeenie and Natura to help mommy and daddy keep away the bad things. I ran away for as long and as far as I could until I collapsed and fell asleep. When I woke up I was in that weird cave thing on that weird cloud and I got scared so I tried to get away.' You mean the infirmary?" Lucy read aloud. I only tilted my head with a confused look on my face in response signifying I had no idea what that was.

I had been so distracted that i hadn't even noticed Gajeel come up to me until he sat down next to me on the cloud. When I finally noticed him it was to late, he had already grabed my arm. Terrified, I opened my mouth and hit him with a fire dragon roar. I was extremely proud of successfully performing the spell, but it was short lived as he was covered in iron and his grip on my arm tightened. I could see bruises start to form as his grip tightened so much it hurt. It hurt to much to make any noise so I had no choice but to stay silent as his grip continued to tighten and tears filled my eyes in pain.

"Gajeel thats enough!" Yelled Erza and Mira at the same time, but Natsu was already coming at us. He went to punch Gajeel when he saw the look of fear and pain in my eyes. Suddenly everything was in slow motion as he punched him, but his fist was covered in fire. I recognized it as the fire dragons iron fist but not before Gajeel's grio on my arm had been released and he went flying through the caves wall. I looked up at Natsu to see a dark look on his face, shadows of his hair covering his eyes. Lucy came over, carefully grabbed my arm and pulled me behind her.

I looked around to see that everyone was ready to fight Gajeel if he tried anything. He slowly sat up and rubed his head.

"What the hell salamander?! What was that for?!" He yelled.

"You were hurting her metal head! Shes a kid! You wouldn't do that to Romeo or Wendy so why is she any different!" Natsu shouted back. Gajeel looked over at me but I hid behind Lucy more when he did. He looks back at Natsu and I could see the ashamed and guilty look in his eye. He hadn't ment to hurt me, he was trying to make me feel better, to make me feel safe since his sent was similar to auntie Natura's. I ran out from behind Lucy, up to Gajeel and hugged him to show him it was ok and I know that his intent was to comfort me, not to hurt me. He hesitantly hugged me back after a moment of shock and I could tell he understood why I was hugging him.
